Práce se zabývá vlivem uměleckých prostředků (tanečních a výtvarných) na rozvoj osobnosti dospělých lidí s mentálním postižením. Daná problematika je zpracována na teoretické i praktické úrovni. V práci jsou popsána filosofická a společenskovědní východiska přístupu a uvedeny vyzkumné projekty zabývající se problematikou arteterapie a taneční terapie u lidí dentálním postižením. Práce zahrnuje teoretické a praktické aspekty arteterapie a taneční terapie v širším kontextu. Dále je zde metodicky popsána i zkušenost s jedenáctiletou tematickou aplikací arteterapeutického programu u dospělých lidí s mentálním postižením. The topič is developed on both theoretical and practical levels. The thesis describes the philosophical and social science basis of this approach and lists research projects dealing with art therapy and dance therapy for mentally handicapped People. The work includes practical and theoretical aspects of art therapy and dance therapy in a broader context.
