Pokorný, Jiří ; Majorová, Simona (advisor) ; Šťastný, Petr (referee)
Title: The use of regenerative procedures in ice hockey players Goals: My main aim in this thesis was to identify which recovery procedures are most frequently used among ice hockey players and to determine the frequency of their use. I focused on examining the impact of these procedures on individual players. My intention was not only to determine the popularity and regularity of the use of specific recovery methods, but also to understand how these treatments affect players' psychological well-being, performance and ability to cope with stressful situations during competitive matches. Methods: To obtain data, I created an anonymous non-standardized online questionnaire in Czech language, which was designed specifically for ice hockey players over 18 years of age. The questionnaire was designed to allow players to share their experiences with different aspects of their training and recovery regimen. A total of 70 ice hockey players representing different ice hockey leagues and competition levels participated in the research. This diversity of participants allowed a wide range of data to be collected and provided a comprehensive view of the recovery practices and preferences of hockey players across different competitions. Results: Using a survey, it was found that ice hockey players prefer ice...

Author: Martin Simacek Title: Analysis of Puck Control Level in Ice Hockey in Categories U9 and Younger. Objective: The aim of the thesis is to assess the level of puck control among players in the U9 age group and younger. Additionally, the study aims to determine whether the player's skills correspond to the abilities expected for this category. Methods: The study was based on a testing battery designed for assessing and comparing the level of puck control among players in the U9 category and younger, encompassing of 9 teams from across the Czech Republic. The research relied on the analysis of results from 233 young hockey players who underwent a series of tests focusing on progressively increasing the difficulty of puck-handling techniques. Each tested player was evaluated individually and under the same conditions, with performance assessed by a licensed expert holding an A coaching license. The data were analyzed using statistical tools to define the level of achieved skills and compare them to international and Czech standards. Results: The research involving 233 young hockey players in the U9 and u8 category revealed an average success rate of 1,6 out of 7 puck control tests, indicating solid fundamental skills within this age group. However, as the tests progressed to higher levels, the...

Hanuš, Jan ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Vojta, Zdeněk (referee)
Title: Quantification of training load in small area games and full ice game Objectives: The aim of this work is to compare the frequency of skills during small area games and full ice game in the training process at young school age. Methods: In the thesis was used a method of indirect observation. I recorded and analyzed 16 practices. I specifically focused on the number of individual game skills performed in small area games and full ice game. The study was conducted at the SC Kolín during the 2023/2024 season, involving 18 participants with an average age 11 ± 0,42. For comparison, I used quantitative analysis and percentage expression. Data are converted to the average number per minute. The results are presented by tables and box plots. Results: Research discovered that the most effective game in terms of individual game skills (shooting, passing, takeaway and pass interception) is 3-3 plus shooter. Players in this game achieved an average of 0,91 shot attempts, 1,78 passes and 0,18 intercepted passes per minute of game play. The small area game 3-3 with offside achieved the best result in takeaways, 0,31 average per minute of game play. The full ice game had the lowest average of the results in all observed parameters. Conclusion: In all observed parameters small area games achieved better...

The method of observation and field testing was used in the implementation of the testing of the puck control levels. The method of analysis, comparison and synthesis was applied in the analysis and interpretation of data obtained through field testing. Results: A total of 257 U14 and U15 players from 10 different clubs took part in the testing of the puck control level, one of which was a foreign club (Norway). The average level of puck control of the U15 category was significantly higher (x =7.8) than that of the U14 category (x =5.6). The standard for the U14 category was to achieve item number 6, for the U15 category item number 9. Clubs with Czech Ice Hockey Academy status achieved 4 more test items in...

Professional ice hockey player contracts Abstract The topic of this thesis is professional player contracts in ice hockey. It is a very specifically chosen topic of the thesis, the main aim of which is to analyze the subject of individual player contracts. In order to achieve this, however, it was necessary to first set out the smaller sub- objectives of the thesis. These minor objectives will help to introduce the subject in a sufficient manner and also serve as a basis for the subsequent analysis of the problematic provisions of the players' contracts. The minor objectives were to set out the concept of "sport" and its division, to point out the insufficient legal regulation of professional sport in the Czech Republic and to compare activities of a professional hockey player with employment status and with entrepreneurship. In the las and main chapter, I aimed to analyze in detail the professional player contracts in ice hockey, their individual arrangements and to point out the problems caused mainly by the absence of legal regulation of professional sport and the autonomy of the will of the parties, especially the stronger party, the ice hockey club. Key words: player contract, professional sport, ice hockey
