Integration of Migrants into the Czech Society

The aim of my diploma work is to study the subject of integration of foreigners into the Czech society. For that purpose I intend to use research questionnaires and to compare my results with results of other researches conducted by NGOs. Secondary aim is to map legal status of foreigners in the Czech Republic, historical reasons for migration and its development, and the composition of migrating population in Europe. Furthermore, I will focus on access to health and social insurance and to the health care system as well as on education and work opportunities which foreigners have in the Czech Republic.
The Developments of the Rentier State Model in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia, along with other Gulf oil monarchies, represents an original politico- economic system. Huge revenues in the form of oil rent, flowing to the Treasury since the oil boom in the early 70's, have fundamentally changed the socio-economic structure, which was in literature termed the rentier state. The origin, development and description of typical characteristics of rentier state are the main topic of this thesis. The first section discusses the theoretical foundations and approaches to the issue. The second chapter provides a historical background in order to position the study in the context of previous political, economic and ideological development. In an analysis of the formation of state structures, the work deals with the relationships between members of the ruling house of Saud, between the government and social elites, with functioning of clientelist structures and interactions within the bureaucratic apparatus. Based on the study of these relationships the thesis marks out particularities of the Saudi politico-economic system that distinguish it from the classical concept of rentier state model. 1 Abstract: Modern states and genocides: the fate of Turkish Armenians and European Jews This thesis focuses on the relationship of the modern state and genocide and examines how the formation of the modern state influences the development of crime of genocide. It also deals with the similarities and differences between the Armenian genocide and the genocide of the Jews. The work has set two goals. Comparison of both genocides, finding their intersection in relation to the modern state. Furthermore, the approach of the international community to the recognition of the Armenian genocide, which is still an important international theme, and the reasons why it is so. The first part discusses the development of international criminal law, the development of the term genocide and the way of settling the crime of genocide in the legal system. The next chapter focuses on the Armenian genocide. It describes in detail the causes, course and means that have been used to resolve the Armenian issue, including how international society has subsequently dealt with this situation. The following part deals with the basic aspects of the Holocaust in order to explain its course and the reasons for its origin. Dehumanization as a risk factor for the use of digital technologies in the context of social work

The thesis deals with the threat of dehumanization when applying digital technologies and robotics into social work. The work focuses on the history and origin of digital technologies within the context of social changes. It explores the basic rules governing elementary functioning and development of digital technologies and robotics. The thesis describes and summarizes basic information about the possibilities and risks of using digital technologies and robotics within social work. Towards the end it also includes opinions of several professional and political authorities who are active in this topic. This thesis aims to trigger the debate over the possible threats connected to dehumanization of social work and the use of digital technologies and robotics, respectively make it more intensive.
Factors affecting the workloads of social workers

This diploma thesis deals with a situations of workers of the labour Office of the CZECH republic department care allowance, who are in the performance of their work influenced by certain factors, which are in this thesis discussed. In the thesis is include the legislative framework of social work, of inclusive a participating observation, ethical dilemmas in connection with the entry into a dwelling, where is lived the dying person, and further includes claims on the moral quality of social workers. A purpose of the thesis is to approach the work of social workers, the labour Office of the CZECH republic at the department's contribution to care and their utilization in the performance of social work.
Politico-administrative relations and politicization in ministries of Czech Republic

This diploma thesis explores the topic of politico-administrative relationships and professional literature. The first part of thesis is based on the theory of politico-administrative relationships using the models created by Aberbach, Rockman, and Putnam (1981) and focuses on the development of the relationships in time. The following part introduces the phenomenon of politicization and several important typologies that specify it and show the multilayer nature of this term - it uses the knowledge of the following authors: Peters (2013), Eichbaum and Shaw (2008) and Hustedt and Salomonsen (2014). In the next part, the thesis focuses on the Czech context of this issues, briefly summarizes Civil Service Act. And introduces its own qualitative research conducted on the sample of ministerial officials. The research reveals 4 essential issues which characterise the politico-administrative relationship and politicization in the Czech Republic. These issues are third parties in in politico-administrative relationship, the position of state secretary, issue of influenzability of personal structure of ministry and positive politicization.
