A transgender pupil in the environment of czech elementary school
Menšíková, Denisa ; Richterová, Magdalena (advisor) ; Linková, Marie (referee)
The issue of gender identity is rapidly pervading the school environment. It is important that teachers continue in their efforts to provide a safe and respectful environment for all students, including those who are dealing with their gender identity or identify as transgender. Teachers and other school staff need sufficient information and support to fulfil the principle of a safe and respectful environment. This raises many questions about the rights and needs not only of the transgender individuals themselves, but also of other pupils, their parents and teachers, as it is important to recognise that the situation related to the issue of transgender is very challenging for those around the pupil who identifies as such. Firstly, the thesis presents a theoretical framework in which it defines the basic concepts related to transgender issues, describes the development of gender identity in children and adolescents, explains the process of gender reassignment in the Czech Republic and shows the results of current research, which shows that the situation for transgender pupils and students is not yet favourable in the school environment. Secondly, the thesis analyses the selected documents in terms of their content in order to find out and, if necessary, to investigate whether there is currently any...
The transition from homeschooling to a school and its impact on a child's wellbeing
Mojžíšová, Markéta ; Frombergerová, Anna (advisor) ; Vítková Rulíková, Klára (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the transition from home-schooling to school. It also focuses on how the transition affects the student's well-being. The aim of the qualitative research was to describe how former home-schoolers experience the transition, what changes are associated with the transition and whether there is something that could facilitate the transition and adaptation to school. Semi-structured interviews were chosen as a method of data collection. Six interviews with former home-schoolers were carried out. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. The aim of the analysis was to identify the main themes that emerged in connection with the transition to school. The results of the research indicate that the transition from home-schooling to school is a challenging event that is accompanied by a large number of changes. The biggest changes involve the student finding himself/herself in a group and in a new environment that has different rules than those to which he/she was used to. Everyone reacts differently to the changes and the respondents varied in terms of whether the changes and the transition were stressful and difficult for them, or whether they adapted to school quickly and without major complications. The results of the work also present options for supporting students who...
Support for people with physical disabilities in the transition from school to the labor market
Wodere, Veronika ; Hájková, Vanda (advisor) ; Zakouřilová, Hana (referee)
This thesis focuses on the topic of the transition of people with disabilities from the school environment to working life. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part presents key topics related to the transition of people with disabilities from school to the labour market, such as support in education, employment and independent living, transition programmes, employment choices and job opportunities. For the practical part, qualitative research was chosen to explore, using unstructured narrative interviews, the transition between school and employment for people with more severe physical disabilities who already have work experience. Social support from friends was found to play a key role in the job search process. Respondents had a limited choice of high schools, often opting for schools with secondary school diplomas in order to continue their studies at university, but at the same time choosing their field of study according to the school they required to be barrier- free and experienced in teaching pupils with disabilities. Motivation to seek employment was mainly financial and the desire to be useful to the labour market, while respondents did not want to spend all their time non-productively at home. None of the respondents used the transition...
A new building on Kraví hora in Brno
Sovíček, Filip ; Kristek, Jan (referee) ; Rozwalka, Szymon (advisor)
Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with a plot of land on Kraví hora. Kraví hora is a multi-layered place that brings together diverse groups and offers many leisure activities from sports in the swimming pool to relaxation in the park. There are Engineering and Law faculties in the area and the selected land adjoins a gardening colony on one side. The proposal deals with university dormitories and this is because students and gardeners can provide a seemingly unusually harmonious use of the area. The two groups will not interfere; the gardens are busiest at the weekend when many students go home. On the other side, the plot is surrounded by a road leading from the “likusáky” to car repair shop. Two worlds meet here, the traffic on the busy road and the tranquility of the private gardens. The project reflects this difference and therefore treats the two sides of the building differently. The side facing the road consists of a fixed grid of rooms. In contrast, the east side is seen in the work as a continuation of the gardens and a gradation into a sprawling structure. The staggered exterior walls of this section ensure plenty of light despite the orientation to the east, while creating nooks and balconies for social gatherings or private respite. The transition between these worlds is formed by a central corridor with a staircase and lift, which penetrates both sides of the building in the form of public rooms. Under the whole building is a covered space for free use and a garage, which in its structural division follows the whole building. In this space there is also a utility room and a lift tube. The west side of the building is flanked by two ramps leading from the busy road to the main and side entrances.
Metamorfosis of vax flowers
Kopúnková, Alexandra ; Sabik, Ester (referee) ; Klodová, Lenka (advisor)
The diploma thesis Metamorphosis of a wax flower deals with the searching for identity in the layers of folklore from the point of view of a contemporary being. For this project, a floral crown was created (a head decoration in the form of a wreath or "crown", most often made of textile or wax flowers or possibly beaded ornaments or just rosemary and ribbons) as the main artifact of the concept of a transitional ritual to adulthood. The flower crown is part of a performance adapted to a traditional wedding ceremony, when the bride's crown is removed after the ceremony and is replaced by a hat covering brides hair. This work recreates this historical ritual, which had acquired an archaic meaning, and shows a possible alternative, when the key moment of rebirth is applied to the leaving from the academic land and the entry into the business market.
Boundary layer transition visualization in aerodynamic tunnel
Holík, Denis ; Trusík, Vojtěch (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis was to propose and test an imaging method that allows visualization of the transition of a laminar boundary layer to a turbulent one and visualization of laminar boundary layer separation on the side mirror of a car. The beginning of the paper discusses the theoretical foundations associated with boundary layer formation and its evolution under various conditions. Afterwards, a survey of existing imaging methods that allow the display of flow on the surface of bodies was carried out. Of these methods, imaging using a thermal imaging camera was selected on the basis of the specified characteristics. The method using oil film (oilflow) was chosen as a control. Using both methods, experiments were conducted to confirm the suitability of the thermal imaging method for visualizing the transition of a laminar boundary layer to a turbulent boundary layer. The final test revealed the presence of laminar boundary layer separation on the upper cover of the car side mirror. At the end of the thesis, possible errors associated with the two chosen visualization methods were summarized, and ways to incorporate the thermal imaging method into automotive testing were proposed.
Modeling of microwave structures based on SIIG
Teplý, Tomáš ; Horák, Jiří (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
Well-known dielectric image guide reach in millimeter-wave interesting results. Compared to a conventional types of lines and waveguides is characterised by low-through loss for frequencies approaching 100 GHz. This work is detail focused to basic characteristics and especially type of perforate highpermitivity substrate for obtain implemented waveguide to dielectric board (SIIG). The work also contains couple suggestions for various transitions from a commonly used lines and waveguides. Simulation results using finite element method is achieved attenuation values below 2 dB, which corresponds to a 2 cm length and include a waveguide itself with a pair of transitions. Finally, this work also designed the production method and SIIG applicatoin in practicle.
Waveguide-SIW transitions
Bednarský, Vojtěch ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Špůrek, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the design of waveguide transitions. In this work I describe two usually used types of waveguides and that is classical rectangular waveguide with standardized designation WR-10, which is designed for working frequency 94GHz. The second type will be a waveguide integrated into the substrate called SIW. In the first part, numerical models of waveguides are calculated and transitions are created. Numerical models are simulated in CST Microwave Studio. Transitions are constructed in two types. Horizontal transition and orthogonal transition. The results of the first part are obtained dimensions of parameters from numerical models and S-parameters of transition sets.

The original building of the academic canteen was built in 1929 as the work of architect Vinzinger Baier, a professor of architecture. In terms of context, the building is located on the border between a busy city and a vast park. The premises and mass of the building respond in abstraction to the city / street transition with clear order and nature through a rational conception of disposition and facade into the street, and subsequent decomposition and irrationalization both vertically and horizontally towards the park. Thus, the object is a special kind of fragmentary gradient, and so it is handled within the framework of the reconstruction of the Center of Architecture, linking archive of modern architecture and creative center in one institution.
