Anticipation and advanced information in women tennis
Kobr, Adam ; Carboch, Jan (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Anticipation and cues for anticipation from the perspective of female tennis players Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to determine what anticipatory sources and cues elite female tennis players perceive and consider when receiving serves, and subsequently compare these findings with the research results among elite male tennis players. Methods: In this thesis, qualitative research was utilized, specifically a case study. The research involved eight former or current elite female tennis players who ranked between 5th and 169th place on the WTA ranking, aged 18 to 39. Seven out of eight of these players are still active, with one serving as a coach who ended her active career one year ago. The research employed a guided interview method with seven questions for active players and eight questions for the coaching subject. The interviews were structured to last between 20 to 50 minutes depending on the depth of responses. Players extensively discussed anticipation in tennis serving and its application to returning. The second part of the research involved transcribing the interviews, coding, analysis, and comparison with the studies by Reischlová (2020) and Vernon et al. (2018). Results: In the thesis, the individual themes were discussed and taken from the research of Reischl (2020)...

Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the practical athletics credit requirements in the study programme Physical Education and Sport with a focus on education at FTVS UK in terms of teaching effectiveness and competences achieved. Methods: the thesis is an empirical-theoretical study based on an online questionnaire survey focusin g on the effectiveness of athletics lessons, extra-curricular training, the difficulty of the disciplines and the achievement of the target competences. The data analysis is displayed through visualization in tables and graphs that include the percentage. Results: The analysis of the effectiveness of athletics teaching at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (FTVS) revealed that 72 % of students rate the clarity of the teaching positively, while 12 % consider it insufficient. Only 42 % of students are satisfied with the frequency of feedback from teachers. Another 48 % of students rate the practical teaching as insufficient to meet the credit requirements. The research also revealed that 58 % of students consider extra-curricular training to be crucial...

Cháb, Jan ; Majorová, Simona (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis: Use of regeneration in young soccer players and subjective perception of the regeneration effect Goals: The main objective of the bachelor's thesis is to use a survey to find out what role regeneration plays in young football players and how they subjectively perceive the effect of regeneration. The secondary goal of the bachelor's thesis is to create a recommendation for the effective use of regeneration in the training process of young football players based on materials from professional literature and studies, supplemented by my experience in regeneration in football. Method: This is a theoretical-empirical work using quantitative research, where the data was obtained through a survey. A total of 45 respondents from youth football clubs AC Sparta Prague, FK Motorlet Prague and FK Jinočany took part in the survey. The participants received the survey in printed form. The survey contained a total of 21 questions. Only answers to questions and age were given. These were closed and open questions that served me to answer the main goal of my bachelor's thesis. Data collection took place in May 2024. Results: It is evident from the results that most of the interviewed players attach due importance to regeneration. According to the results of the survey, the most players,...

Values perceived by players in Czech rugby compared to the stated values of the sport
Pospíšil, Jakub ; Crossan, William Morea (advisor) ; Bednář, Miloš (referee)
6 Abstract: Title: Values perceived by players in Czech rugby compared to the stated values of the sport Objectives: This bachelor's thesis aims to determine how rugby players perceive rugby values in themselves and their surroundings. Another objective was to identify trends in the responses using statistical tools. The third objective was to look for deviations from rugby values and their sources. Methods: In the practical part of this bachelor's thesis, a quantitative research method, specifically the questionnaire method, and a qualitative method, specifically the semi- structured interview method, were used. The respondents of the quantitative research are players who play in the Czech Extraliga. The respondents of the qualitative research are selected coaches from clubs that play in the Extraliga. Results: Czech rugby actively strives to honor the values that define this sport. However, the results clearly show that there are problems in some areas. Players have issues with discipline, and although they rated themselves positively, coaches perceive a lack of passion in their teams. Keywords: values, rugby, fair play, training
Preparatory exercises to eliminate the most common faults in hurdles
Petřík, Pavel ; Jandová, Soňa (advisor) ; Kašpar, Ladislav (referee)
Diploma thesis is focused on the mistakes of hurdle running. Technical performance is very often ignored to the exclusion of training intensity and volume. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the technical faults and then describe preliminary exercises that will improve the technical performance of the different parts of hurdle running. In the theoretical part, the readers are introduced to information related to hurdle running (start, technique, rhythmic unit, etc.). In addition, the theoretical part introduces several aspects that lead to improving hurdling performance, such as strength, speed, and other skills. Lastly, the connection between psychology and sport is mentioned, where learning and temperament are mainly discussed. A very peripheral view of the philosophy of sport is mentioned in the thesis. Subsequently, we have taken pictures and analyzed them and named the most common mistakes in hurdling technique. We then applied preliminary exercises for 10 weeks and then took a second picture record. After the intervention program, we verified the athlete's progress. In most cases, the program worked as expected, only in one case the expected result did not occur. The last subchapter deals with the alternative use of obstacle courses in school physical education classes. The thesis then...

A feedback profiling model for cybersecurity education and training
Lazarov, Willi ; Kuchař, Karel (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The need to educate users to some extent in cybersecurity is undeniable given the ever-increasing cyber threats. However, the approach to education and training cannot be simply generalized due to the different environments, technical backgrounds, and age groups of users. In addition, it is also important to proactively monitor, evaluate, and provide feedback to the individuals being taught or trained. The master's thesis addresses these challenges through the research and development of a feedback profiling model for effective cybersecurity education and training. The thesis first begins with a discussion of methods and techniques for cybersecurity education. Subsequently, the problem addressed is described in more detail, followed by the design of the proposed solution in the form of the profiling model with automatic feedback. The model, which consists of a profiling matrix, a profiling algorithm, and a learning curve, was first created and expressed mathematically without considering the properties of a particular cyber range platform and programming language, especially for easy replication, modification, and extension. Independently, the profiling model was implemented and subsequently integrated into the Brno University of Technology Cyber Arena (BUTCA) platform to validate the model on learning data from students of grammar schools, technical high schools, and universities. The resulting solution of this thesis brings to the cybersecurity field a new innovative approach to the evaluation of learned and trained users with an emphasis on individual feedback and continuous learning.
