How teachers lead effective classroom discussions in English lessons at upper-secondary schools

The diploma thesis deals with leading discussions in English lessons at upper-secondary schools. In the theoretical part, procedures ensuring effective discussions are described based on previous research findings. The empirical part of the thesis explores how teachers tackle starting, conducting and concluding discussions in real classes and how students evaluate their teachers' efforts. The research is conducted by observing teachers and their classes, by interviewing teachers and by collecting feedback from students in questionnaires. Results comparing the theory with the in-class practice are provided. The conclusion summarizes the common tendencies and differences between the lessons, and the effectiveness of the approaches observed. Thermomechanical tire model

This diploma thesis is about thermomechanics of passenger car tires. The research part dealing with existing tire models is followed by the practical part. The practical part is based on the designs of thermomechanical models. The first model determines a dependence of temperature on the air pressure inside a tire when a temperature changes. The second thermomechanical model captures all the heat fluxes which affect a tire while a vehicle is in motion. The third thermomechanical model calculates temperatures of parts of the tire during driving tests. All models are programmed in MATLAB.

Rotary lifting table with higher load capacity

This Master thesis deals with construction design of pop-up turntable with load capacity 120 tons and 1500 mm stroke. The driveline will supply by combination of hydromotor and planetary gearbox.The first part of this thesis deals with research in the field of current offer of pop-up turntables and construction elements used in pop-up turntables.Then is acceded to design of 3 different construction variants, of which is chosen one based on evaluation properties of each variant. After this part, follows on constuction design of chosen variant, including both desinging and calculating part. Part of the thesis is also required technical drawing documentation.

Topic of the Magister thesis is study of human knowledge about the real world. Thesis focuses on the establishment of Epistemology, a philosophical discipline that focuses on theory of knowledge, introduces its history and its relation to other philosophical disciplines, mainly onthology. Thesis thoroughly studies all epistemological conceptions, both from the epistemological and ontological points of view, including conception of subject-object relationship. Thesis studies different sources of knowledge, i.e. empirical, rational, irational, and also analytical philosophy and critical rationalism of the 20th century. Thesis includes a list of the most influencial philosophers and their concepts of human knowledge - Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Locke, Berkeley, Hume and Kant. Thesis studies the relationship of epistemology and axiology, the philosophical study of value. Thesis studies concepts of truth of knowledge. Thesis sudies evolutionary epistemology, its theoretical starting points, principles of natural and cultural evolution, phylogenetics and epigenetics and conceptual knowledge.

Design of linear axis for heavy machine tool

This diploma thesis deals with the design of the linear axis of a heavy machine tool. It describes the basic specifications of these machines, their manufacturers, the parts of which the axis consists and the design itself. The design includes several design variants, calculation of the movement mechanism, drive and linear guide. Follows the selection of the most suitable variant and the drawing documentation of the resulting linear axis.

Vehicle Hydropneumatic Unit

This diploma thesis, following the bachelor's thesis, is devoted to the gas-liquid unit of a vehicle, as the central element of hydropneumatic suspension. The aim is to dimension and construct this component and integrate it together with other elements into a complex suspension system. Based on possible forms listed in the research section, regarding to current development trends, the form of the unit is chosen. The practical part begins with simulations comparing a hydropneumatic with a conventional suspension system. After solving this issue, it is possible to proceed to the dimensioning of the basic parameters of the unit and then to its construction, respecting the relevant strength calculations. The last step is to build a conceptual design of the whole hydropneumatic suspension system.

The Coordinator of Inclusive Education at Primary School

The following bachelor thesis deals with a topic of the coordinators of inclusive education at primary schools. The coordinator of inclusion is a specialized member of school's staff whose duties are to help the school to cope with the inclusive education successfully. The position of the coordinator assumes that teachers and other school's staff do not know how to deal with educational inclusive elements they are supposed to follow and carry out. The coordinators might help the school to establish a pro-inclusive environment where all the actors know how to educate the children with the special educational needs. The coordinator of inclusion is not legislatively enshrined so the school has to decide whether the position of the coordinator will be established there. The thesis uses the semi-structured interviews with a member of the teaching staff, with a school principal or his/her deputy head, and with the coordinator. The interviews will be analysed using the thematic analysis. I will focus on describing the particular duties of the coordinators, then on the perceptions of the teachers and principals to the coordinators and their mutual interactions. Leadership and management of personnel in construction company

This bachelor thesis deals with topics of leadership and staff management in the construction business. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze situation in the fields associated with problematics of Czech construction business. The theoretical part introduces concepts and theories related to said problematic. There are four hypotheses proposed in the practical part. The situation considering diversity, motivation, comunication and education is evaluated through survey. The outcome of this thesis are partial conclusions and suggestions derived from trends and experiences found through research. These conclusions and suggestions may be helpful for those holding leadership and employee management work positions in construction companies.
