Story of the Sternberg's Property in 20. Century

Dissertation Story of the Sternberg's Property in 20th Century in general meaning summarize the transformations of Czech castles and palaces in the mentioned period, when the proprietor and usage has been changed many times, while this fact destined the property to changes of exteriors and especially interiors. This dissertation is related to the destiny of nobility and its property and in the second half of the 20th century especially to development of historical care institutions, which administrated the objects transferred into the property of the government. Detailed description is given to tree objects, owned at the beginning of 20th century by the Sternberg family. Into palace Březina (district Rokycany), originally the summerhouse of the family, was moved a forestry school with its students and teachers. Castle Český Šternberk (district Benešov), ancient family seat, survived the Second World War under receivership, after nationalization was as a historical monument of 1st category with its original furniture opened to public. From the nearby palace Jemniště family moved all the furniture after the palace was sold by the receiver without letting them know. AbstractAbstractAbstractAbstract In my bachelor thesis "Events after 21 August 1968 in Havlíčkův Brod" I deal with occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968. Especially I focused on regional history of small town in Bohemian - Moravian highlands. My text based on interpretation of events in town Havlíčkův Brod from the 21st August 1968 to the end of the same year. This part my bachelor thesis starts from my study in czech archives and from conversations with about ten eyewitnesses. I work with specialized literature, contemporary press and issued memories too. In content my text I talk about some regional specifics, for example situation in Polish people army, which occupy discribing area or situation among czechoslovakian soldiers in Havlíčkův Brod. In not final point I refer to some characters in connections with describing town, for example Oldřich Švestka, Miroslav Polreich or Gertruda Sekaninová - Čakrtová. Dušan Foltýn ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis reviews the history of the borough Byšice in the last two centuries and attempts to assess the importance of the various epochs in the development of the community. The main body of the thesis examines its own history of the borough, the side lines represent the cultural history and the history of the village school in Byšice. All events are processed gradually in a chronological order. The role of various social groups in the history of the town is being examined, as well as the conversion of the urban village in the city. Keywords: Regional history, project methods, baroque and baroque culture Abstract: The thesis deals primarily with the baroque era of Lysá nad Labem regional history and its application in the educational project at the secondary level of a primary school. The first part of the Diploma thesis contains a short overview of regional literature concerning Lysá as well as pedagogic literature suitable for project training. There is an overall characteristic of the Baroque era in the Czech lands with the focus on how it was expressed in art, religion and thinking of people back then and how it influenced the landscape formation. The emphasis is placed on the Baroque era of Lysá nad Labem. Its history is being described along with the history of the most influential family in the area the Sporcks. All of the baroque monuments in the town and its surroundings are described in order for the theoretical part to be complete and with respect to their possible application in the project training. Czechs and Germans in the Polička's Region in the 20th Century: Regional Probe Into Czech-German Coexistence in the Ethnically Mixed District of Polička

Using a method of regional probing, the diploma work seeks to map the evolution of relations between the Czech majority and the German minority that resided in the former political district of Policka. The analysis concentrates on the period of 1897-1946, with a concentration focusing on the culture of "remembering" and the ways in which both ethnic groups came to divergent interpretations of their mutually-shared history. The author strives to identify the factors that influneced the actions and positions of the local populace during the key political events of 1918, 1938 and 1945. He concentrates not only on the everday interactions between both ethnic groups, but also on the conditions that both groups found themelves in during the so-called "National Confrontation."
Museum societies in central-eastern Bohemia and their fates in the 19th and 20th century

This diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon of regional museums in the second half of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century in the area of central-eastern Bohemia. The thesis is divided into three main chapters, first of which offers the overview of the establishment and development of the regional museums. The following one analyses the laws of association and statutes of the particular societies. The last chapter introduces the most important milestones in the history of four museum societies which are: Museum society of Chrudim, Museum of Hlinsko County, Archaeological society Vocel and Archaeological and museum society Včela Čáslavská. Based on the primary sources analysis and comparative method, the author of the thesis tried to focus on the common and different moments in the history and activities of the museum societies mentioned above. Passion plays in Hořice na Šumavě

The submitted work deals with the historical development of german Passion plays in Hořice na Šumavě (district of Český Krumlov) since their origination in 1816, over their temporary decline in 1936. The concept of this work leans on the defended bachelor's thesis Mysterium Hoericense Transformation of the place of memory in the 19th and 20th century. The main exploring attention is paid to the origin of Passion plays in Hořice about life and death of Jesus Christ, to the course of the plays, significant actors and visitors of the plays. Apart from the german written sources, the autor also used local literature published by Sudeten Germans as well as oral history techniques.
The beginnings of music education in Tyn nad Vltavou

This work deals with the origins and historical development of music education in Týn nad Vltavou. It summarizes and analyzes all available regional sources. The first part concerns the general development of music education in the Czech lands, while the second part is devoted to the history of music education in Týn nad Vltavou. The third section summarizes the history of the independent music school in Týn nad Vltavou. The oldest music manuscripts are given particular attention. Separate sections are dedicated to the Literary Brotherhood as well as the Puchmír Choir. This is the first study that deals with this specific regional topic.
