Historical collections in memory institutions in region of Ústí nad Labem

The goal of this paper is to describe historical book collections in memory institutions in region of Ústí nad Labem. I examined the list of libraries in the region of Ústí nad Labem if there is a historical book collection. In case there was one, I describede the memory institution, its history and organization and the historical collection if it was possible. There are important definitions related to historical collections in this paper, then brief history of libraries (in the Czech state). Then there is a list of the cities in the region of Ústí nad Labem, their brief history and definition of memory institution and its collection if there was any. The list of cities is classified alphabetically and every institution has its own subhead related to the city which they are located in.

Central Military Archives as information system

SUMMARY: The aim of the thesis is to define a development and contemporary status of the Central Military Archives as a information system. It describes the entire information cycle of a document from its origin through the deposition at the department of conservation, in the administrative and final archive at last. It shows Central Military Archives and its importance as a significant entity in the field of digitization. Cabaret "Červená sedma" in the light of archival materials of Czech Radio

This bachelor's thesis maps the situation, in which the archive of the "Červená sedma" cabaret, that is in large part deposited in rooms of the Czech Radio archive, in the present days is found. It compares the dates from the former catalogue, that was managed by the members of the cabaret themselves, with the real today's situation. It even shows individual differences and discrepancies, that were during the revision found. This thesis also concentrates on the "Červená sedma" as a part of the Czech or more precisely the Czechoslovak Radio broadcasting and encourages programmes, in which this company occured, either directly by its members, or indirectly through the actors of other generations or memorial programmes devoted to it.

APPLICATION OF NONLINEAR EDITING METHODS IN TELEVISION NEWSCAST

This work studies the influence that non-linear editing of visual materials and usage of digital news production system have on the final form of news programmes. I also compare these advanced technologies with the older linear editing and analog playout, illustrate it by describing the principles of both methods and explain it on a hypothetical example. Two chapters are devoted to the integration of digital archives and graphics tools. The examined period used for comparison of new and old technologies is the week from 2 to 8 April in 2010 and the same week a decade earlier. The news programme examined is Udalosti on Czech television. The aim is to point out how the technical possibilities can change the workflow and form of newscast, not just in theory but also practically.

The National film archive in Prague, his services and contemporary function in media policy

This bachelor's thesis focuses on a summary of activity the National film Archives in Prague, on his historical background and appearance in the past, and especially his current status and function. The main part is concentrate to the separations of NFA - how they cooperate together and complement each other in a flexible working archive unit, the questions of digitization and digital libraries NFA. The final part consist of the influence of archives on contemporary media policy.

Methodology for design of digital archives

Bohuš Získal Methodology for design of digital archives Summary: This work examines how concepts and recommendations defined within the ISO 14721:2003 standard could be applied to archives in audiovisual industry and how its key components and processes relate to the corresponding structure of real production archives. A basic overview of audiovisual content formats, storage solutions and metadata structures is provided with respect to long time content preservation. The most common standards (international, industry and proprietary ones) specific for this area are discussed within the perspective of inevitable data migration process. As certain types of organisation have their archive deeply integrated in the production process and its functional and organisational parts could not be easily distinguished from the rest of the structure, the various approaches to the complex archive design are evaluated, including a brief introduction to MAM system role and implementation. The data migration to new solutions also means the integration with the existing technologies, where a rather higher level of dependence on commercially available solutions is often involved. The purpose and the function of Archives and Records Service in the state administration. The effect of documents storage on the national economy.

This thesis is about Record Services in the state administration. In the theoretical
part I mention the legislation relating with the Archive and Record Services. Then there are
described various phases of the cycle of documents. In this thesis are presented possible
forms of Record Services and also determined which entities are obliged to keep Record
Services and if so, in what form. In the theoretical part I also mention the National Archive
and National Digital Archive. In the practical part is the graphical view of the evolution of
the state expenditures on the National Archive. Then there is a short cross-section of the
amendments of Act no. 499/2004 Coll., about Archiving and Record Services and
amending certain laws and there are listed the most frequent mistakes which are made in
the performance of Record Services. In the last part of this thesis are illustrated the graphs,
that shows, how many files annually establish some state authorities and explained what
could have caused potential increase or decrease.

Password Recovery of ZIP Archives Using GPU

The main goal of this thesis was to expand tool Wrathion by adding yet unsupported encryption methods of .ZIP format and by adding support for .7z format. This thesis contains the description of used technologies, detailed analysis of formats denoted above, as well as the description of module designs and implementations. All functionalities were tested on real devices. The measurement results contain information about time needed for password recovery, performance and acceleration of the password recovery. The thesis also covers comparison with other known tools.

This bachelor thesis deals with comparing different types of office documents. The aim of this thesis is to create a module into an existing application called mediadiff for comparing documents of the Open Office office suite, including text documents, presentations and spreadsheets. This thesis describes algorithms for comparing text and tree structures. Furthermore, there are described the best known office suites and Access to the content of their documents.
