Robust Detection of Moving Objects in Video
Klicnar, Lukáš ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
Motion segmentation is an important process for separating moving objects from the background. Common methods usually assume fixed camera, other approaches exist as well, but they are usually very computational intensive. This work presents an approach for scene segmentation to regions with coherent motion, which works faster than similar methods and it is capable of online processing with no prior knowledge of objects or camera. The main assumption is that the points belonging to a single objects are moving together and this applies as well in the opposite direction. The proposed method is based on tracking of feature points and searching for groups with similar motion by using RANSAC-based algorithm. Short-range repair of broken tracks is applied to increase the overall robustness of tracking. Found clusters are subsequently processed to represent separate moving objects.
Graffiti Tag Retrieval
Grünseisen, Vojtěch ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This work focuses on a possibility of using current computer vision alghoritms and methods for automatic similarity matching of so called graffiti tags. Those are such graffiti, that are used as a fast and simple signature of their authors. The process of development and implementation of CBIR system, which is created for this task, is described. For the purposes of finding images similarity, local features are used, most notably self-similarity features.
Uniform Marker Field on a Cylinder
Kříž, Radim ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This work presents a new extension for Uniform Marker Field, which is able to detect UMF on the cylinder. First part of the text deals with Augmented reality and focuses on systems using markers. It discusses the actual state-of-the-art systems and its possibilities. After that it focuses more deeply on the marker system Uniform marker field and its grayscale variants. Next part of the work describes properties of the cylinder projected in real space. Important properties for detecting are discussed in detail. Then the proposal and description of detection algorithm is presented. Implementation of algorithm is tested and evaluated on the very end of this thesis.
Ellipse Detection
Hříbek, Petr ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
The thesis introduces methods used for an ellipse detection. Each method is theoretically described in current subsection. The description includes methods like Hough transform, Random Hough transform, RANSAC, Genetic Algorithm and improvements with optimalization. Further there are described modifications of current procedures in the thesis to reach better results. Next to the last chapter represents testing parameters of speed, quality and accuracy of implemented algorithms. There is a conclusion of testing and a result discussion at the end.
Live Panorama
Jalůvková, Lenka ; Juránková, Markéta (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This batchelor`s thesis is focused on creation of live panorama. This is an innovative representation of data from streaming cameras. The input is a video from the streaming camera and the output is also stream - constantly re-drawing panorama according to the current camera position. The resulting solution is based on the SIFT algorithm for finding keypoints in the frames. Furthermore, the RANSAC algorithm is used for calculating homography for stitching images together. Re-drawing the panorama requires weighting of edges. The functionality of the proposed solution was tested on a series of testing video recordings.
Birds Eye Panorama
Sobotka, Lukáš ; Pavelková, Alena (referee) ; Kolář, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this paper is to create panorama from the collection of photographies, which are taken from randomly moving device with OS Android. The device is placed on flying vehicle (a kite, a helium balloon, a drone etc.). The photographies are taken from birds eye view. The Android application was created and tested. This application creates a collection of photographies and then runs an algorithm to create panorama. This algorithm specifies descriptors using SURF, which are filtered by RANSAC algorithm for finding the optimal homography. This algorithm is perfomed iteratively over the collection. The image data is processed using the OpenCV library.
Panoramic Photo Creation
Cacek, Pavel ; Čadík, Martin (referee) ; Behúň, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis deals with issues automatic composing panoramic photos from individual photos. Gradually examines the various steps of algorithms and methods used in them, which are used in creating panoramas. It also focuses on the design of the own system based on methods discussed to construct panoramas. This system is implemented using OpenCV library and it is created also a graphical interface using a Qt library. Finally, are in this thesis evaluated outcomes of this designed and implemented system on available datasets.
The Segmentation of Ultrasound Images for Artery Wall Detection and Intima-Media Thickness Measurement
Beneš, Radek ; Chromý,, Erik (referee) ; Dostál, Otto (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the measurement of intima media thickness, which seems to be a significant marker of the risk of cardiovascular events. Intima media thickness is measured in ultrasound image displaying the common carotid artery in its longitudinal section. In the longitudinal section the intima and media layers are visible. Thesis is discussing both technical and medical background and summarizes state of the art in this field. The main part of the thesis describes the novel automatic system for measurement of intima media thickness. Proposed system includes also robust method for artery localization and therefore is able to process raw B-mode data from ultrasound station without any initialization or manual preprocessing.
Panoramatic View Reconstruction
Kuzdas, Oldřich ; Kohoutek, Michal (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
This paper deals step by step with process of stitching images taken by perspective camera rotated by its optical center into the panoramic image. There are described keypoint searching algorhytms, possibilities of calculating homography matrix and methods of eliminating unwanted seams between source images in final panoramic image. A part of this paper is also standalone application in which are implemented some algorhytms described in the work.
Microdots scanner
Červinka, Luděk ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The microdots are very small object. The microdots are applied in protection object. The project purpose is to find and to analyze the microdots. The project consists from two parts. A first part describes the hardware sensor construction and a second part describes the software solution. I selected the optics, camera module and illumination in the hardware part. I’m analyzing of the microdots on a picture in software part.
