Interview as a communication principle of DVTV

The bachelor thesis examines the journalistic project DVTV. Particularly, it focuses on its main media product - an audiovisual interview. The thesis puts the project within the broader framework in the relationship to the principles of internet publishing, such as disconnection of time or creation of new virtual genres. It analyzes the audiovisual interview as an attractive format and mentions the expressions of media convergence in the online media environment. The thesis also highlights the growing popularity and production of online video content, especially on the example of Aktualne.TV, Seznam Zpravy or Stream.cz. By the means of interviews with the creators of DVTV the thesis describes in detail the activities of their team, how an interview is made, beginning with the choice of respondents to the postproduction and final publication of the video. The thesis construes the footage of the DVTV interviews, recording techniques, its communication via social media and other aspects. In addition to the interviews, the thesis does not omit other media formats, that can be found in the DVTV portfolio, eg. live streaming of the events, and it also focuses on the future of this project.
Spread of journalistic hoaxes in Czech media: the case of Central European News agency

This bachelor's thesis frames concrete examples of hoaxes that are spreading into the wider scale of the contemporary functioning of newsrooms. Next, it examines the ethical standards of the media and the spreading of contents within an online environment. The thesis is focused mainly on the online media that makes proper verification more difficult. Furthermore, it examines the characteristics of hoaxes; how and why they spread. It further deals with possible solutions of how to avoid them. The spreading of hoaxes is illustrated mainly on the texts produced by the Central European News agency and its daughter media that are claimed to be untrustworthy. Approximately 355 texts have surfaced in the Czech media in between the years 2007 and 2016. Czech News Agency (ČTK) was cited as the author or the co-author in circa 141 cases.
Selected aspects of the "EU Charter: Standard terms of media freedom in the EU"

The bachelor thesis Selected aspects of "the EU Charter: Standard terms of media freedom in the EU" is about selected influences which shaped the media environment in the European Union's member states. Firstly, it defines the tradition of freedom of speech in Europe as well as the role of certain institutions of the European Union, Council of Europe and international players which supports the freedom of speech. Some parts are dedicated to the media policy of the European Union and certain resolutions, directives and documents about media that occupied the European parliament in the past. The core of the paper is the document called "the EU Charter: Standard terms of media freedom in the EU" that reacts to changes and threats in member states' media environment. The aim of this thesis is to describe certain changes of media landscape in selected countries, which consequences these changes had and how it affected media pluralism in these states. Described aspects are: economic crisis in connection with the boom of online media, the concentration of media ownership and the media regulation. The thesis includes the analysis how "the EU Charter: Standard terms of media freedom in the EU" reacted to the situation in member states and if it had any impact and improved the situation.
Social media etiquette

The thesis deals with the etiquette within social media and social network sites as a part of network media. First section focuses on the phenomenon of etiquette in historical context and deals with associated terms such as courtesy and politeness. Second part deals with documents concerning so called netiquette - network etiquette. Finally the third part focuses on the etiquette within social network sites (SNS). The paper analyses three SNS - Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and their official rules concerning appropriate user behaviour. Furthermore there are also unofficial rules created by users, enthusiasts, bloggers and journalists defined in the paper. Last part focuses on some phenomena that are significantly related to the topic of social media etiquette. The finding of the thesis shows that there are certain SNS etiquette rules and suggestions that are repetitive. It was also discovered that there is lack of uniform official etiquette rules within the SNS whereas the membership of users plays an important role in shaping those rules, advice and suggestions.
Photo galleries and video journalism in Czech online media

This thesis deals with means of online journalism, specifically photogalleries and videojournalism. Theoretical part of the work is devoted to the phenomena of digitization and media convergence that significantly influenced journalistic work, including photography and video. In practical part, the author uses four case studies to examine how Czech online media work with image material and how they use means of videojournalism. This work maps use of galleries and video in four domestic media: iDNES.cz, ihned.cz, Aktuálně.cz and Echo24.cz. The author describes hierarchy in individual editorial staffs and user interface of the photogalleries and videoplayers. In addition, the author charts the presence of photogalleries and videos in the concrete server over a period of one week. The work is based on scientific literature and interviews with photographers, editors and reporters of selected media. Other information sources are the actual websites. The work is supplemented by visual attachments and transcriptions of the interviews.
Two Czech women kidnapped in Pakistan - portrait of a story in Czech print media

The submitted thesis focuses on describing the media image of the abduction of two Czech women in Pakistan, which occurred in March 2013. It aims to analyze the manner in which the selected Czech media informed about the incident. This thesis consists of three parts: theoretical part, methodological part and analytical part. Theoretical part introduces relevant theoretical concepts and frameworks relevant to the actual analysis, methodological part explains the essentials and methods of research, defines the research sample and the reference period. The final analytical part presents the results of the actual research as well as answers the research questions and hypotheses. In order to increase clarity, the results are shown in graphs and tables. The core of the theses is a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the contents of four Czech news servers for the period from March 2013 to mid-April 2015. The selected media are Blesk.cz, iDnes.cz, Novinky.cz and Reflex.cz, which represent one of the most popular and read news sites in the Czech Republic. Development of the Czech mobile communications magazines market

The bachelor work deals with magazines on mobile communications that were published in the Czech Republic between 1996-2011. This bachelor work focuses on 8 unique titles published during that period. The first part is devoted to the development of the telecommunication market as well as the mobile phone market. One of the important parts involves a description of the published titles. The magazine called Mobility was the longest-published magazine on mobile communication and therefore, it is discussed in more details and in addition quantitative content analysis is also provided in this study. Other titles are briefly introduced. For all magazines the additional information such as year of publishing, publisher's name and sample of cover page is provided. The development of the market for mobile communication is described in three time periods. These periods are as follows: from 1996 to 2003 when only two titles were published, from 2004 to 2008 when all monitored titles were published, from 2008 to 2011 when only magazine Mobility was published. The final section deals with the development of printed and online media and compares the readership and audience size of these two platforms. The marketing communications proposal of project FitCamp Prague focused on online media

Title: The marketing communications proposal of project FitCamp Prague focused on online media. Objectives: Taking into account the limited financial resources, the objective of this thesis is to mix the best design of communication tools and new ways of communication, through which the communication objectives of the project FitCamp Prague, can be fulfilled. For this reason the thesis focuses on the online media as the main communication channel. Methods: This study will implement a situational analysis of current marketing situations, which will be built on the SWOT analysis for an overview of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and on the competitive analysis and customer segmentation. Marketing research will be conducted through interviews. Results: The result of the thesis will create a new marketing communication proposal for the project FitCamp Prague for the period of September 2013 - December 2014. The proposal will be mainly focused on online media. This proposal will be submitted to the organizing team and applied directly into practice. Social Network Facebook in News: Comparisiion of Space Dedicated to Social Network Facebook ads its Content in Czech Media in the Years 2009 and 2011

Diploma thesis "Social Network Facebook in News: Comparison of Space Dedicated to Social Network Facebook and its Content in Czech Media in the Years 2009 and 2011", is dedicated to the way of use and citation of social network Facebook in the selected news media. The paper summarizes the establishment and strengthening of online media, particularly the phenomenon of social networks on the example of social network Facebook, and their influence on the transformation of the media sector, news values and new resources. In analyzing the texts containing the word Facebook in selected periods of 2009 and 2011 the thesis compares the frequency of posts mentioning the term Facebook in the dailies Blesk, Hospodářské noviny and MF Dnes and on the news sites Aktuálně.cz and iDNES.cz. According to the results of the analysis thesis describes the work and changes of work with social network Facebook in the Czech media, including its use as a news source, it evaluates the change of Facebook's status in society Facebook and it mentions the relationship between the posts containing reference to the Facebook and news values. Survey conducted by agency My.cz focused on Czech journalists' approach to social networks including practical use of social networks as news sources is part of the diploma thesis.
Obsahový marketing přes online média na trhu interiérového dizajnu

This work aims to provide an overview of current knowledge in the field of content marketing. Based on that, it defines key requirements for successful content marketing via online media. The system can be further used for creating or re defining content marketing for any company that wishes to effectively attract and retain their customers by providing them with valuable information. In the practical part, the thesis discusses the case of Insidecor, a company providing a web portal that showcases interior design products and inspiration available on Czech market. Based on the theoretical knowledge, description of the company's business, market situation and primary research, the thesis proposes key areas for improvement of the company's content marketing initiative.
