Coaching as social work tool and its ethical aspects in relationship to individuals

The thesis deals with coaching as social work tool and with its ethical aspects in relationship to individual. It is divided into three parts. In the first part, I define the coaching itself, as well as its solution and its types. I also distinguish the coaching from different types of social work, such as counselling and therapy; then I set the coaching into social work helping scope. The second part is focused on the relationship between the client and the helping worker while using coaching. Here I present the relationship paradigms, the helping worker aspect (with emphasis on competence and personal disposition) and the client aspect (with focus on his conception and his inner world). This part deals with the topic of help and control as well. In the third part I look into ethical aspects that are crucial in the client's and worker's relationship, aspects that follow from the definition of this relationship from the second part of the thesis, such as freedom, dignity, respect, autonomy, self-determination, worker's personality, preferences, responsibility, conscience and power.
Management of Talent Development

The subject of this text is the management of talent development. The aim of a dissertation was to identify what skills abilities are supposed from Talents in organizations what is suitable to develop in trainings by talents what method of development is most effective for talents and what we should consider hen we set up talent management in organization. The history of talent management manners and current interpretation of keywords are analysed in theoretical part. The hypotheses were set up to current problems and were verified by standard manners in organizations and at the university. The hypotheses have passed successful only for typical circumstances where the talents usually are. The most important knowledge are two new trends in talent management. The first is business coaching like combined method of development for talents is most effective manner of talent development. The second knowledge says that talent management set up of talent management depends on level of systematic work in organization.
Modern methods of management development

Diploma thesis addresses the issue of the management development and modern methods of development. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the main trends and changes in development in the last decade and identify key needs in this area. Another aim is to compare the needs of the current range of management development on the Czech market and based on international best practice to design new development opportunities. The theoretical part includes current trends and needs in the management development and practical part examines the market situation resting on qualitative research. Based on qualitative research in thesis proposes appropriate solutions for management development according to modern international approaches.
Barriers of the heutagogical approach in the corporate education in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the modern development method, heutagogy. Heutagogy can also be described as self-dtermined learning or learning based on inner motivation. The idea of heutagogy was first published by Stewart Hase and Chris Kenyon in 2000. The thesis deals with the current situation in the market of corporate education in the Czech Republic, analyzes the use of heutagogical principles among the suppliers of corporate education in the Czech Republic and defines key barriers that limits use of this approach in the Czech Republic. Therefore qualitative research among the top suppliers of the corporate education was done.
Cooperation in Marketing Communication

That is the reason why the search is moving beyond companies borders and they are commming together and cooperating. The diploma thesis is analysing the ways of cooperation by a law firm and recommending a proposals for improving of the current level of cooperation in selected areas and better using of the communication tools.

Further there is space dealing with company communication and procedures setting of company education. In additional part is described a real international company, where was taken a research focused on employee satisfaction, company communication and effectiveness of whole training program.
Pedagogical aspects of coaching activities

The goal of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze the pedagogical aspects of coaching in the context of the current offer of study programs for coaches, their professional background and their self-reflection due to their educational mission. To achieve these objectives it is necessary to define sport as such, its types and offers of sports activities for individuals. It is also necessary to define the role of the coach and systematically describe important attributes of the trainer. The analytical part of the paper will focus on the coaches self-reflection due to their educational mission. In this context, the questionnaire will analyze trainers view on their possible educational, or teaching activities. Other important issues that will be analyzed include: coaches view on their activities and the circumstances that affect their educational influence, etc. The final part will be devoted to evaluation of the current state of examined problems.
Coaching as a method of leadership

This thesis deals with the methods of coaching as a leadership in professional basketball clubs in the Czech Republic. The objective of the thesis is to determine how much the professional basketball coaches are familiar with methods of coaching and whether they use any of them in their daily practice. To find the necessary information there has been used a questionnaire survey through email correspondence with coaches. The results are then compared with the information obtained through studying books of leading American coaches. The benefits of this thesis are identification and evaluation of the coaching utilization in management of professional basketball teams. The issue of coaching in this or any other sports in the Czech Republic has not been written up into any book. The actual summary of foreign literature dedicated to this topic is also beneficial. The bonuses of this thesis are the recommendations to improve the performance of basketball coaches. Recommendations and conclusions of this thesis can be useful not only for improving the work of the respondents of this questionnaire, but they can be used as general source for increasing work efficiency in the management of sports teams. The thesis may also be used by basketball players to expand their knowledge of the development of their own abilities and skills. The results are also useful for the Czech Basketball Federation, Association of Basketball Coaches, which is responsible for the methodology of coaches' education and universities providing a two-year educational program Trainers' School. The thesis could be divided into four main parts. The first part deals with the general areas of coaching, its use, attitudes and personality coach. The second part focuses on the area of sports coaching and then the specifics of leadership in basketball. The third part deals with the exploration of the use of coaching in leading basketball teams by professional trainers. The final section summarizes the results of individual coaches and provides recommendations to improve their work.
Trends in leadership development

The thesis's main concerns are Trends in Leadership development. The aim of this thesis is to better understand leadership and to find out the differences between managers and leaders. The secondary aim of this thesis includes the understanding of development various leadership skills techniques. This thesis also includes survey of how students of University of Economics in Prague interpret leadership as a whole. First chapter focuses on trends in management, second chapter focuses on trends in leadership and leadership styles. Content of third chapter includes research of leadership development techniques. Fourth chapter sums the theses up and also includes the evaluation of undertaken research.
