Private international law from a comparative perspective(comparison of a particular segment in Czech law and the law of a selected country) This thesis works with a comparison of conflict rules in the field of international family law in the Czech Republic and in the Federal Republic of Germany. It is focused concretely on questions of marriage, register partnership and adoption, in which is included an international element. The topic has been taken into account in addition to the national rules of international private law also rules at international and European level. Includes is also future progress in this field. Thesis is divided into eight chapters. The introduction is followed by first chapter, which deals with general classification of international family law as a part of international private law and their definition. Following chapter is focused on conflict rules, determingfactores which may be used to determine the applicable law. Included are terms as public policy, remise or transmise. Chapter three is about general definition of court's jurisdiction to hear the dispute with an international element. The Principle of Equality in French Family Law with regard to various forms of cohabitation

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate various forms of living in couple in French legal system with regards to the principle of equality. The choice of France is not random considering the fact that French lawmaker has been regulating this field since late 1990's. The thesis centres on different aspects of living in couple that differ from each other and contribute to their unique identities. In addition, the thesis assesses the issue whether the French model could be a suitable inspiration to Czech lawmakers. This topical subject is influenced by sociology and therefore there must be taken into account homosexuality as a social phenomenon and evolution of its acceptance in French society. This thesis is divided into 6 chapters. The opening chapter discusses fundamental institution of family law, which is family itself, from historical and social perspectives. The second chapter focuses on long-lasting effort of French deputies and non-governmental organizations to adopt legal regulation for same-sex couples. The third chapter describes Civil Solidarity Act and cohabitation. Socialisation of a Child in Homoparental Family

The bachelor thesis "Socialization of a Child in a Homoparental Family" examines the new phenomenon of children who are growing up in homoparental families. The aim of the theoretical part is research of legislation in the Czech Republic, research of the primary socialization process of a child in a family, and the theme of prejudice, in which I will try to find important considerations which influenced the formation of a homoparental family. The aim of the empirical part is an introduction of opinions from professionals who are connected with the theme of homoparental parenthood. The theoretical part deals with the legislative basis of registered partnerships and the possibilities of the formation of a homoparental family. Furthermore, attention is paid to the primary socialization of a child in a family and the child's basic needs. The end of the theoretical part looks at the issue of prejudice, its formation and its manifestations. The research probe, which is described in an empirical part of the bachelor thesis, includes five structured interviews with professionals from several areas of expertise. It presents points of view of experts on the issue of homoparental parenthood. This thesis deals with the issue of two today very important institutes, namely the registered partnership and the alternative family care. The aim of the thesis is to focus on areas where the two institutes overlap. Current registered partnership legislation contains some problematic provisions in relation to forms of alternative family care. The text of the thesis has focused on the description of these problem areas and try to outline possible future changes even in the context of the situation on the international level.
Gender in social work - content analysis of the periodical since year 2000

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic "Gender in the context of social work - content analysis of specialized periodicals since 2000" has only the theoretical part, supported by texts from selected reviewed professional journals. The theoretical part is divided into six chapters. Each of the individual chapters is covers one field of social work, which the selected periodicals are dedicated to. In the first chapter the goal of the Bachelor thesis is outlined. In the second chapter the texts from selected professional reviewed periodicals since 2000 are described. The third chapter explains the concept of gender and its development in the Czech Republic and abroad. The fourth chapter moves specifically to gender in social work. In the chapters five till seven the thesis concerns about specific areas of social work, where gender is a very substantial matter. Pedagogical view on the upbringing of children by homosexual couples

This Master's Thesis approaches the phenomen of upbringing of children by lesbian and gay couples. It deals with primary school teachers' attitude to the question of homosexuality and homoparentality. In the theoretical part, the issues such as family, gender, gender role and identity are introduced. Thereafter the work is focused on the concept of gay and lesbian families, the legal aspects of homoparentality and the possible approach to parenting by the same-sex couples. The thesis also presents some of the realized researches into homoparentality. Part of these studies covers a potentional influence of upbringing by same- sex parents on child's development. Second part comprises the researches focused on parental experience of gays and lesbian women. The last chapter of theoretical part deals with the conception of homosexuality and education at schools. The aim of the practical part is to find out what the attitude of primary school teachers to homosexuality and homoparentality is really like, whether and how these topics are taught and how the attitude of teachers is reflected in teaching/lessons. Legal aspects of marriage and registered partnership

The aim of this master thesis is to compare the status of marriage and registered partnerships across branches of law. The purpose of such comparison was to find out whether it is equal or unequal status and indicate any shortcomings of the legislation in this regard. The thesis is divided into five chapters, each dedicated to a different area of comparison or outlining future legal developments regarding this issue. The first chapter describes the history of marriage and registered partnerships, including the development of homosexuality, the conclusion and termination of these institutes and then analyzes their differences in the described area. The second chapter of this thesis deals with comparison of the rights and obligations of spouses and partners in private law. Attention is focused on civil, family and labour law, but the thesis does not omit the private international law. The most important topics in this area are upbringing of child and property arrangements of spouses and partners. Following the third chapter compares rights and obligations of spouses and partners in public law. This thesis is looking at the issue of registered partnerships from the perspective of ethics and law. The main objective of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive perspective on registered partnership problematic and on other current issues related to this topic. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the history of homosexuality from ancient Greece to modern times, furthermore it focuses on the actual registered partnership and the regularization process of the necessary law in the Czech Republic. It covers a topic of religion perspective on homosexuality, the issue of child adoptions by homosexual couples and not least the blood donation problematic. The practical part deals with the social investigational survey, its processing and reporting the results. The aim of the social survey was to obtain a view on the homosexual minority from the society and get their opinions about the questions analyzed in the theoretical part. The topic of this thesis is the legislation of cohabitation outside of marriage. The thesis focuses on the treatment of registered partnership in the Czech legal system and its equivalent in the French legal system - Pacte Civile de Solidarité. The thesis describes the historical development and current legal regulation of this issue, discussing the terms of formation of the partnership, the rights and obligations arising from this partnership and circumstances of termination of the partnerships in both Czech and French legislation. In the conclusion, both legislations are compared.
