In total, data from 39 men and 30 women were used. From April 2009, over a period of six weeks (before the end of the summer term tuition), an intervention flexibility programme including the Anderson static stretching method and the PNF stretching method by Sölveborn were applied for the research file. To evaluate the level of joint flexibility, the Sit and Reach Test and credit exercise to estimate joint flexibility were used. In a controlled interview, out-of-school activities were analysed, which contained stretching exercises with a...
Mediated Learning as a one from Options of Personal Student's Development
Škopková, Pavla ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Kasíková, Hana (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on possible solutions, how could a teacher in cooperation with school student to reach satisfactory results achieved with deficits in cognitive function and also contribute to the student's personal development. The solution could be to offer help in the form of mediated learning, which is represented by the Instrumental Enrichment Programme. The effectiveness of the theory of mediated learning is the fact that such learning includes elements components that we guarantee that it is the process of development of creativity. These elements can belong: intervention, diagnosis or reflection of their own learning. The aim is to point out on these features in terms of psychological effect and demonstrate their functionality specific programs and outcomes. The concept of mediated learning due to its openness offers the work of a number of variants of instruments and tools, with regard to the specific circumstances of the task situation. The bachelor thesis is focused theoretical, but based on demonstrated qualitative research and analysis aimed at testing the effectiveness of using Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment Programme in practice. The bachelor thesis is designed to explaining the essence of the theory of mediated learning at the very beginning, including the...
Individula movement program to influence fitness and affect body weight
Kupr, Pavel ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
INVIDUAL MOVEMENT PROGRAM TO INFLUENCE FITNESS AND AFFECT BODY WEIGHT Aims: The main aim of this thesis is to influence the fitness assumptions and to affect the body weight of a chosen person on the basis of an applied intervention program. Particular aims involve creating the intervention program, its fulfillment and practical verification, confirmation of defined hypotheses, stating and particulary explaining the differences between measured dates before and after the intervention and formulating relevant conclusions and recommendations.. Methods: The research method used in the thesis was an experiment. Its basis was creation and especially application of the six months lasting training program and further testing in laboratory conditions before and after the intervention. Results: The controlled person fulfilled the training program without complications and in a full scale. The created interventional program involved aerobic activities (running), bodybuilding and other activities (fitbox, cycling, in-line skating, swimming) without adjusting nutrition habits or an eventual diet. The feed-back tests showed/proved that the condition assumptions of the controlled person distincively improved in all chosen function parameters. Requested weight reduction though was not achieved. Key words:...

Title: Possibilities of influencing overweight and fitness in volleyball players. Objective: To determine whether women playing volleyball competitively, overweight and lack of physical prowess, will be fundamental changes in body weight and physical fitness ment based on the intervention program, which consisted of dietary modifications and exercise aimed at increasing physical fitness. Method: For the study were selected twelve women who competed pays the third highest league in volleyball. These women suffer from mild overweight and poor fitness levels. The women are aged between 19-29 years. The probands were selected on the basis of observation and subjective evaluation. This study should demonstrate that the probands if they focus more on activities promoting physical fitness and acquire new habits in the diet, there is a positive change in the body and there will be a success and satisfaction on the playing field and in personal life. Selected individuals were asked questions about their health, leisure activities and tracks the weekly menu. Based on the answers to the questionnaire, baseline and motor tests were drawn up individual plans of intervention program to influence fitness and weight for 125 days. After the time allotted to an evaluation of the impact of the intervention program in...
The objectification of therapeutical methods used for improvement of the deep stabilizng spinal system
Malátová, Renata ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee) ; Marešová, Dana (referee)
5 Summary So far, no commercially used device, capable of evaluating the condition of the deep stabilizing spine system (DSSS), has appeared on the market. Therefore, a so called muscle dynamometer (SD01, SD02), has been constructed that enables to reveal a possible dysfunction of the DSSS. During a six-week-rehabilitation-course, aimed at correcting the body posture and strengthening the DSSS muscles, a statistically significant change (p<0.001) between the values of input and output measurements of the chosen group tested has been obtained. Correctness of the approach to objectify the initial state of the patient and his progress during the treatment was shown by the completed measurements. The effectiveness of therapeutical training was confirmed. Based on positive experience from SD01, a new version of muscle dynamometer, SD02, was constructed. Measurements by SD02 were to establish the condition of DSSS (frontal spine stabilization) by a lay-sit test repeatedly from the test battery UNIFITTEST 6-60 and by the diaphragm test. Measurements were conducted on 45 samples. Basic somatic measurements were performed and then measurements with the SD02 were conducted during the diaphragm test and UNIFITTEST. For comparison of the values the pairing t-test was used (normal data distribution was verified by the...
Role of nurse in prevention of obesity and overweight in Roma minority in the Czech Republic
OLIŠAROVÁ, Věra
Goals: The goal of this dissertation consisted in characterizing the relation, attitude and opinions of the Roma minority with respect to overweight and obesity. At the same time, it was focused on describing the risk factors contributing to their origination and on creating a methodology for the intervention program aimed at prevention of overweight and obesity in the Roma minority. Methods: To meet the goals, qualitative research was carried out, allowing also the monitoring of culturally conditioned behaviour patterns in field. The research set consisted of 25 Roma respondents above eighteen years of age who had a BMI value in the area of overweight or obesity (i.e. BMI ? 25 kg/m2). The respondents included 8 men and 17 women. The data analysis was performed with the help of the method of anchored theory that helps to search new connections. The analysis of qualitative data was carried out with the help of the MAXQDA 11 program. Results: The role of the nurse in prevention of overweight and obesity in the Roma consists in identification of influenceable risk factors resulting from life style and in their elimination under use of adequate motivation and efficient education. The culturally conditioned behaviour patterns constitute a distinctive factor that can influence the efficiency of the implemented interventions. The patterns can be seen already when taking the medical history in which the nurse tries to identify risk behaviours. For example, the Roma have problems with describing their eating habits from qualitative and quantitative perspective, particularly the frequency and regularity of eating. Other factors acting in the area of overweight and obesity include body image, social functions of eating, socio-economic status and the related food structure, etc. The understanding of the connections among the individual factors and of the motivation elements involved in the respective risk behaviour may introduce a new dimension into nursing. Scientific contributions of the dissertation: The data analysis and the integration of findings helped to create the methodology for an intervention program aimed at prevention of overweight and obesity. The material was subsequently consulted with representatives of the relevant minority and modified according to their comments. Subsequently, it was used in connection with the grant project number LD14114, implemented under financial support of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports within COST (Cooperation on Scientific and Technical Research), named "Obesity and overweight in Roma minority in the Region of South Bohemia".
