Who are of primary school children resp. primary practical school

This thesis deals with the deep knowledge of the pupils of primary school who attend special school, a primary school established pursuant to Section 16 (9) of the Education Act. The main aim of the thesis was to describe the broad context of a child attending this type of school. The aim of the theoretical part was to characterize themes - mental disabilities, education of pupils with mentally disabilities, deprivation and socially disadvantaged environment, including issues of Gypsies ethnicity. The practical part has a qualitative charakter and presents case studies of five pupils. The aim was to produce detailed diagnostics and understanding of special school pupils through case studies, interviews with children, teachers, parents and teacher assistants.
Delinquency in terms of psychopathology

This thesis deals with the most common psychopathological disorders which are found in connection with delinquency. It explains concepts such as psychopathology, delinquency, delinquent conduct, personality, temperament, character, prevention. It elaborates in detail the causes and factors that influence occurrence and development of psychopathological disorders and also shows how they manifest, particularly with regard to association with delinquency. Thereafter it is followed by various psychopathological disorders and diseases, including personality disorders, which occupy the specific place among them. Preventive measures outline the options which can be used in the prevention of delinquency and the thesis is concluded by research results which complete already mentioned findings.
Parental alkoholism and its impact on the psyche of children

In the theoretical part of this bachelor thesis, there is a general summary of information about alcoholism, children's psyche and their developement, family, and strategies focusing on coping with the fact that their parents are people with greater problems, issues in the family and the impact of family on a child. The thesis consists of a possible precaution for children of parents- alcoholics and publication which was written mainly by the offspring of such parents for them. Alternative(Substitutional) family care - development at newly defined legal environment

This bachelor's thesis describes the topic of foster care and its development in the newly defined law system. At the beginning it shows the importance of attachement, which is based on the basic needs of the child. It charted the development and types of attachement. The other part focuses on the topic of pathology of attachement. It is briefly defined terms of deprivation and separation. The next section shows forms of treatment processes in cases of deprivation and separation. In cases of deprivation is a given treatment process in the form of adoption and long-term care. It includes a basic definition of these terms and changes resulting from the new modification of the legal definition of this issue. In the section describing the healing process in case of separation is defined the foster care for a temporary period. Here it is pointed to process of attachement, interruption, or its transfer to another, new caregiver. It follows research proposal which can be the basis for subsequent studies. It is a comparison of the formation and sustain of emotional relationship in long-term foster care cases and in cases of foster care for a temporary period. The context of sleep deprivation in the lives of adolescents

Starting point is the concept of sleep deprivation. The thesis is mainly concerned in the impact on the life of adolescents. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses results of scientific studies that dealt with the relationship between sleep deprivation and various cognitive processes, such as thinking, memory, and decision making. Thesis also includes a brief outline of sleep as an objective physiological process, further defines the definition of sleep deprivation and shortly explains the importance of adolescence. The core of the thesis is consisted of impacts, risks and practical consequences of a lack of sleep in daily functioning that is not related just to juveniles. Finally, the thesis focuses on possible ways which minimize the effects of sleep deprivation. The empirical part involves a proposal of the research design that deals with individual problem arising from the general part of the work. The role of boarding schools for the Deaf in the Czech Republic - since 1786 to present days

(in English): This bachelor thesis presents the history and development of institutional care at the Czech boarding schools for the hearing impaired, as well as at the then institutes for the Deaf and dumb from 1786 to present. It describes the regime at these boarding schools, extracurricular activities of the pupils, pedagogical supervision and the schools facilities. The school regime is dealt with according to centuries. The bachelor work also brings up the issue of the Deaf communities, both home and abroad and explores the impact of the boarding schools on the community. The findings are interpreted in the light of individual development of the child staying in a boarding school, namely its impact on child's personality. The work draws data from the specialized past and present bibliography, legislative norms and other relevant documents. The final part of the bachelor thesis presents the results of the findings concerning the issue of hearing impaired children in residential care. They prove that children staying in boarding schools suffer from deprivation which is, furthermore, enhanced in case of deaf children who lack an opportunity to communicate in their mother tongue, i.e. sign language with the peers. Psychological aspects of preschool child deprivation and subdeprivation

The bachelor thesis deals with deprivation and subdeprivation of preschool children. It defines both terms, describes external conditions which can cause deprivation, internal conditions which involve the final effect of deprivation situation and basic mental child needs. It also deals with subdeprivation situations which can occur, describes the each development period of preschool age with emphasize on deprivation and subdeprivation and describes the change of attitude to deprivation in 20th century. In this context attention is paid to institutional care and partial collective care. The conclusion of theoretical part of thesis is focused on the most present subdeprivation situations of today's and on the consequences of psychological deprivation and subdeprivation. The plan of research project is part of this bachelor thesis.
Children at integrational summer camp- their manifestations in behaviour and relations

This diploma thesis deals with behaviour and relationships on summer integrational camp, where children raised in family and children raised in residential care meet with each other. The aim of this thesis is to describe the difference between these groups from the viewpoint of unit counsellors (in the area of behaviour at the camp, relationship with the authority of counsellor and relationships between children) and explore mutual relationships in units, primarily ascertain the position of the children who were raised in residential care. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the first chapter of the theoretical part potential differences between children raised in family and children raised in residential care are analysed. The second chapter deals with summer camps and which aspects have influence on children's stay at camp. In the empirical part the qualitative research itself is presented, with the questionnaires for counsellors as the main data source. These questionnaires provide the information about observed areas regarding all the children on the camp, who are participants of the research.
