Principles of activities of Roman officials

A principles of activities of the Roman officials The main objective of this thesis is to explain the principles which had formed since from the beginning of the city of Rome. Later, in the republic era, these principles had a great influence on the Roman officials and their activities. These principles also helped to form a large part of the Roman constitutional legal system This thesis describes the period of Roman kingdom and republic and principally deals with the way how the principles affected not only on the officials, but also on the Roman state and law. The first chapter focuses on the mysterious ancient culture called the Etruscans and establishment of the city of Rome. The Etruscans were very advanced culture. They stood on the beginning of the roman civilization and they inflicted its future progress in many areas of living, especially in the state administration. The second chapter devotes to the development of the Roman state administration in the early republic. In this chapter we can find a description and characterization of the Roman offices and the assistants of the officials. Wind musical instruments of ancient Greece and Rome

This thesis deals with ancient wind musical instruments. It focuses especially on three kinds of them - aulos, syrinx and military musical instruments, where salpinx, lituus and bucina belongs to. Each chapter of this thesis is dedicated to one of these wind instruments and discusses its origin and evolution. It also describes its using in ancient society - during sacral ceremonies, cultural events and in military or private life - this description is based on Greek, Roman end Etruscan iconography and also cites some of the references from ancient authors. Some of these instruments have developed during the ancient times into different shapes - these versions are described in this thesis on the background of iconography and bibliography. In the end of every single chapter there is a selection of the most important preserved samples of the musical instruments or their fragments. These samples, although they often are in poor condition, are clear evidence about the nature of ancient music. The second Roman ride of the Charles the Fourth

The thesis "The Second Roman Ride of the Charles the Fourth" tries to cover the whole campaign of the Emperor Charles IV. between years 1368 and 1369. Also, thesis follows the basic questions related to the issues of the royal court during the journey. The first of those questions is about accompaniment of the Emperor Charles IV. on his journey across the Italian territory and how the court was transformed during the ride to Rome and back. The second question points out the effort to build the court of the Elizabeth of Pomerania, who was crucial person of the second Roman ride where she did not travel alongside the emperor. The last question attempts to describe the undergirding of the court during the campaign in italian cities - how the emperor and his court was accepted and welcomed, accommodated, supllied and gifted.
Risorgimento and "Question of Rome". Contribution to the History of the Unification of Italy in the 19th Century

In her bachelor's thesis, the author is going to deal with the history of Roman state in the period of 1849-1878. In particular she will endeavour to analyse the development of papal Rome, afterwards the period of the Roman Republic and the return of the Pope to Rome. The main core of the thesis will lie in the analysis of the accession of Rome to the Kingdom of Sardinia, i.e. de facto to United Italy. Petra Dvořáčková will primarily draw on the studies of published sources and scholarly literature of Italian provenance as well as the scholarly literature available in English and Czech languages.
The Circle of Architects of Albrecht of Wallenstein in Early Baroque Period

The Circle of architects of Albrecht of Wallenstein in early Baroque period. The first rare indications of early Baroque productions/ creations are appearing already in second decade of 17th century, mainly in the work of imperial architect Giovanni Mario Filippi. We can consider his work as a first stage of the architectonical production which was implemented for the one of the most important personality of the Thirty Year War - the duke Albrecht of Walenstein. The circle of Walenstein architects was created by three distinctive representatives, those proved successfully individually but also as a team working above the joint projects. They were able to fulfill the Wallenstein magnificent intentions. These architects were Andrea Spezza, Giovanni Pieroni and Nicola Sebregondi. These three Italians architects and builders were leading figures of the mentioned circle of which part were also Vincenzo Bocacci, Baccio Bianco and Giovanni Marini. Their activities is possible to trace on our territory in the period 1621-1634 except Giovanni Pieroni, who was focused after the duke death to the projects of fortification systems, mainly in Bohemia. Cultural elements which originated from Rome, broke through into many cultures of the world. Their influence also affected cultures of central Europe - the Czech culture being one of them. The theme of this work is the analysis of the fundamental knots of the Czech culture and the culture presented by Rome. The main attention is paid to the more general and oldest themes mentioning the theoretical concesequences concerning culturology. The first part of this work is devoted to the oldest evidence of any relationship between the two locations. Following that, the chapter about Marobudov, which is the former citizen of Rome, who enriched his empire with elements of ancient culture. Cyril and Metoděj - a famous pair of Czech statehood establishers. This work is focused on the two brothers trip and stay in Rome, being a part of their missions success. Some of the famous Czech saints St. Václav and St. Vojtěch had a very warm relationship with Rome, which projected into their lives - the way of thinking and actions, which significantly affected the Czech culture. Two chapters are therefore dedicated to the mentioned figures, describing evidence of their relationship with the municipality. Reception of classical culture in the Czechoslovak/Czech television of Prague created

This work focuses on original television dramatic production of domestic authors, which was created in The Czechoslovak/Czech Television of Prague, and which is based on themes related with the history of ancient Greece and Rome. The aim is to study thoroughly this production - especially to discover how many inscenations of ancient subject The Czechoslovak/Czech Television of Prague created, what the topics are, and which authors participated on it; whereas a single chapter concentrates on each inscenation. Every chapter contains the comparison of the storyline of an inscenation and historical facts (i.e. the approach of scriptwriters to ancient realia and the procedure during its reception); it further contains the circumstances of an inscenation's origin, if contemporary critics know them from available sources and the acceptance of an inscenation. The work is also complemented by a chapter, which specifies the basis of television aesthetics. The Luxemburgs and the Apennine Peninsula

Ve své diplomové práci se jsem se pokusil popsat politickou situaci v Itálii v první třetině 14. století se zaměřením na působení významných osobností Lucemburského rodu v této oblasti. Pro zpracování jsem zvolil léta 1308-1313, 1330-1333 a rok 1337. Zaměřil jsem se hlavně na osobu Jindřicha IV. Lucemburského, jeho nástup k moci, volbu říšským králem a následnou cestu za císařskou korunou. V práci rozebírám reformy, které Jindřich použil při správě Italských měst během cesty na Řím. Dále se zaměřuji na odezvu, kterou jeho působení vyvolávalo u příslušníků dvou hlavních politických směrů v Itálii, tedy u guelfů a ghibelinů, i u francouzského krále Filipa IV. a u papeže Klimenta V. pobývajícího tou dobou v Avignonu. Dále se zaobírám pokusem českého krále Jana Lucemburského a jeho syna Karla o založení Lucemburské signorie na území Lombardie, Toskánska a Emilia Romagna a jejich neúspěšné snahy o udržení tohoto území pod Lucemburskou nadvládou. A Karlovo krátkodobým pokusem o získání území v severní Itálii v roce 1337. Opět se věnuji vlivu jejich působení na politiku měst zmíněných oblastí. Také se okrajově zaměřuji na vliv Jindřicha Lucemburského na spisovatele Danta Alighieriho a jeho dílo "De Monarchia" s Jindřichovo tažením do Říma jako předlohou pro vznik tohoto díla.
Master B with the Die from the collection of National Gallery in Prague

The aim of this essay is an assessment of an anonymous engraver's work from the early 16th century whose monogram is a cube with a letter B. The essay is divided into two separate main units. The first enclosed unit includes texts helping us to create a partial picture of the Master's life. There are information dealing with a cultural environment and a technological development of the graphic art in the times of the Master's existence. The second unit is a char- acterization and a detailed analysis of selected pieces of work with an accent on the technologi- cal aspect of the prints. The creation of the Master's B of the Die life story was very difficult considering the lack of the literature. After a thorough search in libraries and on the internet not even one continu- ous text concerning directly this artist has been found. Incomplete information have been found only in collected encyclopaedias about art. For drawing-up at least a short life story accessible information about cultural environment of the then humanistic society have been used which are composed in a separate chapter. The next separate part of a lesser extent is interested in edi- tors co-operating in the Master's B of the Die environment and participating on the production of his graphics.
