Discursive analysis of political communication in the discussion of the amendment to Act No. 329/2021 on the provision of childcare in the 2017-2021 electoral period

Children's groups are one of the effective family policy tools for reconciling family and working life. At the same time, within the current system of pre-school care in the Czech Republic, they supplement the insufficient capacity of kindergartens. In 2014, Act No. 247/2014 Coll. on children's groups was approved, which basically defined the conditions and standards in which children's groups operate. Tools for reconciling family and working life, which include children's groups, came to the fore following the adoption of the European Directive 2019/1158 on work-life balance. Children's groups were funded by the European Operational Programme Employment, but this could only be drawn on until 2022. Therefore, in 2021, the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic discussed the need to reconsider the funding of children's groups and, at the same time, to revise the conditions for running children's groups. The thesis aims to investigate the communication strategies of political actors on the topic of children's groups using the method of discursive analysis, at the same time comparing the communication of children's groups with the way of communication of other topics from the remit of social affairs in the election programmes of the then parliamentary parties in the 2017 and 2021...
The comparison of Czech and German family policy enabling the harmonization of work and family life

The subject of this thesis is the comparison of family policy in the Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany in terms of measures adjustment enabling the reconciliation of work and care about the preschool children. The issue of work-life balance is further presented in the context of traditional sociological concepts and welfare state model theories, followed by a description of trends and current order of women's employment on the labor market of both countries and accompanied by the description of demographic trends. Thesis is specifically focused on the description of the governmental family policy of both countries in the perspective of parental leave entitlement settings, facilities of children day care facilities like nursery schools and creche, and formal involvement of fathers in the childcare. The methodological part of thesis is focused on the description of the family policy measures of the respective country. Comparison of both countries in terms of enabling the reconciliation of work and childcare is made on the basis of analyse and comparison of both the secondary quantitative data and the qualitative data drawn from the discussions placed on the free available web sites. The diploma thesis is devoted to mapping the needs of a selected company in the field of reconciliation of work-life balance. In the first part it is devoted to theoretical research of the topic and setting the theoretical background for the given situation. The subsequent analysis focusing on the internal environment examines the attitudes of employees and the company itself towards the issue of parents at work. The thesis then draws conclusions from the two previous parts and proposes solutions for the selected company.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of reconciling personal and professional life in relation to a specific company. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part deals with the theoretical background that describes the scientific knowledge in the field of reconciliation of personal and professional life and the processes that are associated with this reconciliation. The second part focuses on the introduction of the selected analysed enterprise and an overview of its economic situation. Furthermore, the section contains of results of the questionnaire survey to which the employees of the analysed enterprise were subjected. In the third part, suggestions are made based on results of the questionnaire survey. They are related to the area of work-life balance, after the application there could be achieved better balance between the personal and professional life of employees.

in English language Work-life balance This diploma thesis explores various (international, European, and Czech) legal sources and practices related to work-life balance. The changes brought by the Directive (EU) 2019/1158 of the European parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on work-life balance for parents and carers are also taken into account throughout the thesis. The historical development of working time is analysed, as well as its current status in modern society and expectations for the future. Different forms of flexible working arrangements, such as flexible working hours, job-sharing, and homeworking, are discussed in detail, along with the benefits and drawbacks of each. The thesis also covers part-time jobs and their role in promoting work-life balance. The role of obstacles to work on the employee's side in balancing their personal and work life is also described, particularly those related to life events such as childbirth and caring for children or close family members. This includes maternity leave, paternity leave, parental leave, carer's leave (caring for a family or household member) and long-term care. The Risk of Burnout syndrome in Pre-School Teachers

This bachelor thesis deals with the burnout syndrome among teachers in preschools. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the risks of burnout syndrome associated with the profession of a preschool teacher. The thesis consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the basic characteristics of burnout syndrome, its history, symptoms, causes, as well as treatment and prevention. The theoretical part of the thesis also includes the definition of professions that are most at risk of developing burnout syndrome. The practical part of the thesis deals with qualitative research. The methodology, process, and results of the qualitative investigation are presented. Data collection is carried out through semi-structured interviews with preschool teachers. The method of grounded theory is used for data analysis and evaluation. In conclusion, the results of the qualitative research are summarized. Based on the formulated theory, this thesis should lead the reader, particularly pedagogical and other professionals who are at increased risk of burnout syndrome and their families, to increase awareness of this current issue. It should encourage individuals to pay more attention and prevent this syndrome, not only in themselves but also in others.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the concept of so-called "Work-life balance" in selected company. It identifies individual tools which could be hepful in harmonization of work and personal lives of employees. The work is divided into two basic parts. The first part of this thesis explains the theoretical foundations of reconciling personal and professional life. It presents the possibilities of alternative working hours, their advantages, disadvantages and uses. It further discusses factors influencing the view of the concept of work-life balance or pro-family policy. This theoretical knowledge is further applied in the practical part of this work. The second part contains a brief description of the monitored company. This section also presents the methodology used to research and interpret its results. The aim of this work is to assess the concept of work-life balance in a selected organization and propose changes to improve the current state and the development of the research area.

Work-life balance is becoming a very important topic in any work field. With increasing stress and requirements in all work roles, mental and physical health of employees are much more at risk. The hectic life puts pressure on workers and also influences their performance in the company. This inconspicuously leads to serious problems in any firm. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to study the level of work-life balance in organizations of Local action groups in South Bohemia. It presents the work performance of employees and methods of staff evaluation. The work focuses on the employer approach to workers. It analyses problems and errors of staff evaluation and ways of overcoming them. This work also explores work relationships, the care of employees and the importance of time management. Data collection for the analysis is conducted through a questionnaire survey that focuses on several factors that affect the private and professional lives of employees.
