Let's give life to recent history ... or how to teach contemporary history in high schools

The diploma thesis entitled Let's revive recent history… or how to teach contemporary history in secondary schools is conceived in the form of a methodological manual for secondary school teachers who would like to understand their teaching of contemporary history in an interesting, research and effective way. It outlines the obstacles due to which teachers avoid contemporary history, and compares and evaluates history textbooks, which are among the most commonly used in teaching at secondary schools. It is also clear here how much space is devoted to contemporary history in these textbooks and which topics of contemporary history are preferred by the framework educational program. The work is focused on Czechoslovak and Czech contemporary history, for which it offers the possibility of using various Internet platforms, which are directly intended for teachers or from them can draw inspiration for their teaching. Last but not least, it also offers several activities involving working with sources or other period artifacts that can be used in class. At the same time, it offers the possibility of thematic excursions with supplementary material, which can be used to effectively supplement teaching. Implementation of weekly thematic units into the teaching in special elementary school

The thesis deals with possibilities of educating pupils with moderate and severe mental disabilities, multiple disabilities and autism. The theoretical part describes an educational system of these pupils and presents an integrated thematic teaching model in weekly units. The practical part presents a proposal of teaching project in the specific educational needs of these pupils. The aim of this thesis is to introduce proposed teaching project in the duration of one month, into the conditions of particular special elementary school and find out its learning results by action research. The outputs of this thesis are proposals for integrated thematic teaching in special elementary school. Factors influencing the inclusion of artistic gymnastics at the lower secondary school

This diploma thesis is focused on the factors influencing the teaching of sport gymnastics at lower secondary school. It was found out when the teachers met themselves with the teaching of artistic gymnastic, their opinions of the inclusion of sport gymnastics in school physical education, the material equipment of the gym at their disposal and the risks of possible injuries. The inclusion of sport gymnastics into the school educational program will be described in the theoretical part. The practical part is compare the results of questionnaires answered by teachers from the primary and lower secondary school and completed by an interview. Mediální výchova pohledem žáků

The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the importance of media education in general education and also to find out the way how pupils of the 2nd stage of elementary school and pupils of lower grade of multi-years grammar schools reflect the media education and at the same time to find out its benefit and usage in their real life. The theoretical part describes the basic knowledge that are connected with the theme of this work. The greatest emphasis is placed on the concept of media education in the Czech educational system. The practical part is focus on the results of the research which was made with the mentioned pupils. With the use of the interview with these pupils should be find out what is their opinion on the media education. Through their answers the author of this diploma thesis will try to outline if there is any difference in concept of media education between pupils of the elementary school and pupils of lower grade of multi-year grammar school. At the end of this work the author gives some suggestions for improvement and diversification of teaching media education that reacts on results found out in the research.

Investigation of use of aerobics with music in physical education

Our bachelor thesis deals with finding out about the situation of using aerobic exercises in the courses of Physical Education on a sample of high schools in town of Tábor. The aim of the sersearch was the state and frequency of including aerobic forms of exercises during the courses of Physical Education. The research file, which is selected by author, was made of seventeen teachers of Physical Education from six high schools in Tábor choosed by with method of deliberate choice. Data collection was was implemented through inteview. The research results reveal that major the part of high schools include aerobic forms of exercises, and without the gender differences of the training groups. Frequency of including aerobic forms of exercises differs between schools and between girl groups and boy groups too. Work based on analysis of necessary documents pointed at the teachers of Physical Education compilance requirement of this documentes. Analysis-based work points to compliance with the requirements of the analyzed documents by physical education teachers.

Religion in textbooks for the second-grade elementary schools

1 Summary Religion in textbooks for the second-grade elementary schools. Recently, there has been an increasing level of discussion about religion in the public space. Nonetheless, uneducated opinions are often being used. In my work, I focused on what kind of information are being passed onto pupils of primary schools, regardless of the interest of particular teacher. In the first part of my thesis, I compare basic curriculum documents (so called Whitepaper and Framework Education Program) and individual educational areas. In second part, I work with specific books of selected subjects (history, civics, ethics) that have been authorized by the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports (MEYS). I pay particular attention to how frequently, to what extent and in what context do they referrer about religion (including list of reported religions). Afterwards, I evaluate, whether they take evaluated stands, alternatively whether they encourage pupils to be interested in this area and finally whether they develop pupils' ability to look up relevant information on that subject. First aid in drowning - knowledge and methodology of teaching pupils of the second grade of elementary school

Title: First aid in drowning - knowledge and methodology of teaching pupils of the second grade of elementary school Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the theoretical knowledge of first aid for drowning man of students in the second grade of elementary schools and to create a model lesson suitable for these students. Methods: In the theoretical part of thesis was used research of literature in the first aid and water rescue. The research was conducted by interviewing, the form of survey. Analysis method (Non-numerical one-dimensional analysis) was used for sorting the information which were obtained, synthesis metod was used in their summary. Results: The knowledge of pupils at our elementary schools, picked by us, about the safety rules of water behavior is sufficient. On the other hand, knowledge of specific first aid to drowning man is insufficient. In some cases, there were answers which had more than 90% success, but in the basic questions about behaviour in specific situations, almost 2/3 respondents answered badly. Interdisciplinary relationships at the level of the planned curriculum (mathematical camp for elementary school).

The diploma thesis deals with interdisciplinary teaching and learning approaches at the level of a planned curriculum. The theoretical part is devoted to the issues of interdisciplinary teaching and learning approaches, description of school-age children and game-based learning. It includes the concepts of integration in teaching, numeracy, instructor, learning, motivation and game-based learning. There is also mentioned the Framework Educational Program for Primary Education, key competencies and its selected educational areas. The practical part contains a set of activities that integrate interdisciplinary teaching and learning. For each activity there is a description of its realization from the point of view of the author of the diploma thesis.

ZUŠ Prosek – analysis of activities

The bachelor thesis describes the history of artistic education in our country and the development of the legislation of arts education after 1989. It discusses in detail the Framework educational program for basic art education as one of the main curriculum documents. For a particular case of the Basic art school, Prague 9, Prosek school 92 analyzes activities and finances. In the research, it compares the Prosek art school with other art schools in Prague 9 and creates a map of the students' spatial structure as a new method of comparing schools.
