Potential calculation of mutual information from a time series
Hubr, Ivo ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
Mutual information is one of the factors used in traffic analysis and preparation phase space. Begin of this work deal with information theory, focusing on the calculation of mutual information. To calculate this parameter has been available for many algorithms which are analyzing in this final work. Two of the algorithms (Fraser-Swinney and calculation of mutual information using adaptive XY subdivision) are applied to the input data Rössler’ attractor, as shown in the output tables and graphs. The third consideration method is the computational Dinh-Tuan-Pham algorithm. The main goal of this work is a comparison of efficiency, speed and accuracy of the calculation of these algorithms.
Assessment of Costs Associated with Heating a New Energy-Efficient House
Šebelová, Denisa ; Klika, Pavel (referee) ; Čech, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis addresses the economic assessment of the methods of heating and combinations of technologies for energy saving. The objective of this work is to assess the economical effectiveness of individual types of sources of heating. It is first necessary to established gross requirements of energy for heating, water heating, and other household operations. Based on this information, suitable sources are determined. Alternative energy sources are other aspects for consideration – controlled ventilation with heat recovery, and photovoltaic cells. The aim of the thesis is to identify which combination of those technologies is the most economically effective for the opted house. This work aims to help the investor in decision making about the technological solution of heating and power purchase. The outcome is a complex evaluation of different options for the assessed house.
Influence of heating water temperature on efficiency of heating system
Hliboký, Samuel ; Poláčik, Ján (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is to describe ways of increasing efficiency of heating in a family house. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dealing with principle of function of gas boilers and ways of decreasing the temperature of water in heating system. The practical part of thesis includes economic-technical evaluation of replacement of standard gas boiler by condensing boiler, based on return of investment.
BSC Method and Possibilities of Its Application in IT Domain
Navrátilová, Kateřina ; Zámečníková, Eva (referee) ; Květoňová, Šárka (advisor)
Bachelor's Thesis deals with utilization of Balanced Scorecard method. The method measures a performance of an organization using financial and nonfinancial measures, which are substantial for increasing performance and efficiency. The thesis contains summary of methods used for evaluation of efficiency of information systems. A description of Balanced Scorecard is included in association with specification and description of application's implementation. The application is used for creating and administrating the strategies of Balanced Scorecard method.
The Effect of Control on the Evaluation and Motivation of Employees
Voňavka, Adam ; Slavíček, Vojtěch (referee) ; Konečný, Štěpán (advisor)
This work is focused on motivating and evaluating employees in a gastro company, analysis of these activities and their effect on staff behavior to corporate finance and property in general. The first part describes theoretical background issues, basic concepts and their relationships. Then where is the problem thoroughly analyzed and practical examples of problems and their current solution are included. After this comprehensive introduction to the topic, new solution will be proposed, which would have the maximum possible effect through theoretical knowledge, logical reasoning, and ultimately practical experience and analytical calculations.
The Innovation of Order Management in the Company
Volná, Tereza ; Pfeifer, Marcel Rolf (referee) ; Putnová, Anna (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a new innovation in a predetermined company. The theoretical part deals with concepts related to innovation and information systems of companies. The analytical part is focused on basic information about the selected company and the current state of awarding contracts. In the last part, a new system of awarding orders is proposed, which should help to assign tasks more efficiently and at the same time better organize the company's schedule.
The issue of Ecodesign in the machine tool
Burtsev, Ilya ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
This bachaelors thesis discusses the issues of Ecodesign in the machine tools. The first part of the thesis includes analysis of current legislation requirements in Ecodesign. The second part of the thesis includes researches in Ecodesign and energy efficent components. In conclusion of the thesis described personal recommendation in sphere of Ecodesign.
Economic Assessment of the Construction of Passive and Active Houses
Ondra, Filip ; Komosná, Milada (referee) ; Hrdlička, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis examines the economics of use of technologies linked with low-energy, passive, and active house construction which is presently very often a topic of interest. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate economic effectivity of additional investment into construction materials leading to reduction of heating requirements of the evaluated family house. Furthermore, economics of the use of advanced technologies of ventilation, different heat sources and photovoltaic power plant are assessed. The result is a complex evaluation of different alternatives of the house which makes this thesis helpful in answering the question whether these additional investments will pay off.
Acceleration of numerical computation of heat conduction in solids in inverse tasks
Ondruch, Tomáš ; Komínek, Jan (referee) ; Pohanka, Michal (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with possible ways of accelerating numerical computations, which are present in problems related to heat conduction in solids. The thesis summarizes basic characteristics of heat transfer phenomena with emphasis on heat conduction. Theoretical principles of control volume method are utilized to convert a direct heat conduction problem into a sparse linear system. Relevant fundamentals from the field of inverse heat conduction problems are presented with reference to intensive computations of direct problems of such kind. Numerical methods which are well-suited to find a solution of direct heat conduction problems are described. Remarks on practical implementation of time-efficient computations are made in relation with a two-dimensional heat conduction model. The results are compared and discussed with respect to obtained computational time for several tested methods.
A new manufacturing technology for an automotive part
Kotrsal, Miloš ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis is about analyzing a current technological process. It also includes describing a current production machines, tools and methods of measuring. The problems of milling procedure are described in a detail. In addition, there are descriptions of a technology of the production, methods of using production preparations, and methods of measuring gained results. There is designed an innovative solution of a new technological production. A history of the stoba Precizní Technika Inc. is summarized there. A comparison of the two versions is described in a techno-economic evaluation part, which is about comparing of mechanical time. A solution of the thesis is realized in a medium-sized production company during particular conditions. Limited conditions of the thesis are influenced by the conditions of the selected company.
