Assessing the influence of operating conditions on the resulting circularity and positioning accuracy
Sarvaš, Matej ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
This thesis assesses the influence of operating conditions such as feed rate, position on the machine and temperature of individual machine components on the resulting positioning accuracy and circularity of a CNC machine. At the beginning, the current state of the art of the problem is described, such as types of machine accuracy, machine tool errors and their measurement. Subsequently, a system analysis of the problem is developed, where all the factors affecting the machine are described and a method for testing the machine is proposed. In the penultimate chapter, the proposed measurements are processed and in the last chapter they are evaluated.

Methods for Design of Virtual Twin of a Dynamic System
Kšica, Filip ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
Over the last decade, digital twins and cyber-physical systems have been slowly developed from mere theoretical concepts to potent industrial applications in a large spectrum of areas, however, ambiguous understanding of the fundamentals significantly complicates the process of finding a general methodology necessary for their successful implementation. Therefore, one of the main goals of this thesis is a systematic study of these concepts and their main parts, followed by formulating a methodology that could lead to successful and effective industrial applications in the context of current projects. The key part in this effort falls to computational modelling and dynamic reduction of complex mechanical systems that comprise the digital part of a digital twin, including but not limited to the main structure but also sensing systems. These sensing systems serve as cyber-physical systems that fulfill the role of interactive links between the individual parts of a digital twin and are introduced in the last part of this thesis in the context of manufacturing industry, airspace, and railway industry, where they are used not only for condition and operational monitoring, but also provide large amount of accurate real-time data for structure health monitoring and predictive maintenance purposes.

Simulation of CNC machine tool spindle in ADAMS software
Pham, Jakub ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a simulation model of a CNC machine tool in MSC ADAMS software. Nowadays, simulations have become an integral part of every development process, as they offer a cost-effective alternative to classical machine development involving prototyping. Within machine tools, dynamic simulation of machine nodes is one of the unexplored areas. The aim of this work is to verify their functionality and reliability in this area. Within the scope of the bachelor thesis, a research on dynamic system simulations, the finite element method and the simulation software MSC Adams and Ansys has been carried out. In the practical part, the spindle loading of the MCV 754 Quick machine tool was designed. Subsequently, the model geometry and boundary conditions were determined and the spindle was simulated during the cutting process in MSC ADAMS. The simulation results were verified by both analytical calculation and experimental measurements on the machine. Furthermore, the concept of further development of the model within the framework of cosimulation was presented. Finally, all output parameters were compared and evaluated.

Design of automatic clamping device for CNC milling machine
Jirásek, Jiří ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
This work is focused on the design and construction of a device for automatic replacement of workpieces for CNC milling machines. The thesis contains research in the field of automatic replacement of workpieces. The design itself can be divided into two parts. The first part is the selection of a universal clamping platform and the design of a technological pallet. The second part is the design and construction of the clamping device. First, different design variants are proposed.. These variants are then evaluated by multi-criteria analysis, based on which the most suitable variant is chosen. This is followed by the selection of suitable components for the assembly of the universal clamping platform and the construction of the technological pallet. The main part of the work is the structural design of the pneumatic wedge vice, including the necessary calculations and design of individual components. The output is technical drawings of chosen components and a technical drawing and CAD model of the assembly.

Assessment of geometric accuracy of machining center using digital inclinometers
Únar, Jan ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with assessment of geometric accuracy of machining center MCV 754 QUICK. BlueSYSTEM digital inclinometers from WYLER AG, XL-80 laser interferometer from RENISHAW, Ballbar QC20-W from RENISHAW and LaserTRACER self-guiding laser interferometer from ETALON AG were used to measure accuracy. Error of the X straightness in the direction of the Z axis was assessed. The first part of the paper describes the geometric accuracy of the machine, currently available instruments for measuring geometric accuracy and an explanation of straightness. The second part consists of the design of measurements, experiment, evaluation and comparison of results and recommendations for teaching.
