DEVS Simulator Implementation in C++20
Šurina, Timotej ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the issue of modeling and simulation of systems based on the DEVS formalism. The result of this work is a library that is inspired by the adevs tool and based on the classical DEVS formalism. The library is implemented in the programming language C++20 and is supplemented by predefined models of components for creation of queueing systems. The library also contains a set of examples for use in teaching. In comparison with the paralel adevs tool it is less effective but it has simpler interface with focus on clarity, which is more important for teaching. The library also simplifies definition of models with the use of modules, intelligent pointers for memory management and the use of mentioned components.
Wireless Sensor Networks Security
Nagy, Jan ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the security of wireless sensor networks, mainly of the industrial standard ZigBee. The aim of the work is to familiarize with the 802.15.4 standard and the ZigBee technology, especially with present methods of security in this field. I have also analysed the requirements for the security of this technology. Further aim of this work is the introduction of the ZigBee kit and description of the Microchip's ZigBee stack. Analysis of the stack is connected with practical test of security functions in the ZigBee laboratory.
Analysis of Volunteering in Region České Budějovice
WOLMUTH, Karolína
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of volunteering. The aim of this work is the analysis of volunteering in the České Budějovice region. To fulfill this goal is introduced the basic theoretical background and description of the current state of volunteering in the Czech Republic. In the first three chapters of the thesis there is a definition of volunteering, its use in the social sphere, and the approach of the Czech public to volunteering. Volunteer management is described in more detail, with an emphasis on the process of selecting volunteers, ensuring their preparation for volunteering, and attention is also paid to the evaluation and motivation of volunteers. The practical part describes the realized qualitative research, whose aim was to analyze the implementation of volunteering in the České Budějovice region. The main research question was: What does the issue of volunteer management currently look like in the České Budějovice area? Five partial research questions were derived from this question. The methods of data collection were semi-structured interviews and also the analysis of documents. The sample consisted of five communication partners from organizations in the České Budějovice region, who act as a volunteer coordinator. Data from interviews were analyzed using grounded theory design. The outcome was to propose a new theory in which emphasis is placed on strengthening the role of supervision in volunteer management. Volunteers do not use supervision, and contact the coordinators if necessary. However, coordinators are burdened with increased administration and cannot take responsibility for the work of the employees of organizations where volunteers operate and who should provide the necessary support and guidance to volunteers. In addition, supervision should serve as a tool to strengthen the identity of the volunteer and to increase interest in volunteering in society through awareness raising by well-run volunteers.
Impact of Communication Parameters on Energy Consumption of Zigbee Devices
Popelka, Jan ; Červenka, Vladimír (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the energy research and design a simple wireless sensor networks. The data modules with ZigBee wireless communication technology. The main feature of wireless sensor networks is the minimal energy devices at low cost and maximum data reliability. Furthermore, the work describes firmware for communicating nodes with the ability to change parameters of data transmission and thus affect the energy consumption node. Calculations of energy consumption, compared with measured results and discharge characteristics of the battery packs are included in the final chapters of this work.

Motivation of Volunteers Who Work in Non-Profit Organizations
Pernicová, Denisa ; Hiršová, Miloslava (advisor) ; Sedláková, Jaroslava (referee)
The primary focus of this bachelor´s thesis is a complex analysis and the consequent evaluation of volunteers´ motivation working within a chosen volunteering scheme. Proposal of appropriate methods of evaluation and rewarding targeted at the coordinator of such a scheme is a further goal of this work. In the theoretical part I discuss the topic of volunteering and motivation. Based on these observations, the practical part of the thesis consists of an analysis of the volunteers´ motivation within a chosen sample; I process the coordinator´s practices with the volunteers and offer appropriate measures for improvement. I have gathered the data using surveys and personal, partly-strucured interviews with the participants of the volunteering scheme Program 5P. The bachelor´s thesis concludes with comparison, evaluation and interpretation of the data.
Intercompany mentoring
Grófová, Martina ; Dvořáková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Lisnerová, Romana (referee)
The diploma thesis is dedicated to the intercompany mentoring issue, its thorough description and specific practical application in the company. The objectives are to define the intercompany mentoring as a new form of corporate learning, to analyze it in detail and to assess its benefits to the certain company. Its strengths / weaknesses and the possible opportunities and threats are found in the theoretical part via SWOT analysis. The assessment of intercompany mentoring is based on the interviews with mentors, mentees and last but not least with mentees' superiors. These semi-structured interviews are focused on finding of the strengths / weaknesses and the opportunities or threats. It means that the SWOT analysis is used also in the practical part of the thesis. The output of the thesis is the final resume and my personal improvement proposals. The results of the thesis can help those companies that are looking for new ways to develop their employees or which are hesitating to participate in the intercompany mentoring. The work deals with the purpose of volunteering in hospitals. It is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes, in general terms, volunteering, its history and its legal framework. Last but not least, it deals with volunteering in the University Hospital in Motol. The practical part uses the method of standardized direct dialogues with seniors permanently living and taken care of in the medical institute, and it analyses the need of volunteering at the Aftercare Centre of the University Hospital in Motol. The work draws upon the experience of my own several-year long volunteering engagement at the Aftercare Centre of the University Hospital in Motol. The goal of this work is to explain and highlight the importance of volunteering in medical care centers and hospitals.
