Microprocessor control unit design
Voldán, Jiří ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with a design and implementation of a microprocessing control unit which can be used e.g. for controlling a hydraulic loading crane. This multi-purpose control device contains commonly available computer peripheral components such as a serial line, a USB connection or Bluetooth. When specific sensors are added to this device it can be used for measurements as well as for adjustments. This device also enables to store measured data on an SD/MMC card.
Microcontroller based system for acquiring and transfer of static picture
Vladař, Martin ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the transmission of still images from the CCD camera at extremely limited communication data flow. The base system consists of a microprocessor, which communicates with the peripherals mostly via the serial interface. The image is obtained by PC program for Microsoft Windows that can capture color images and grayscale images. A defect of the system is as expected slow serial line.
Data logger for serial communication lines
Jankech, Tomáš ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Dušek, Martin (advisor)
The aim of bachelor’s thesis is the realization of data logger for serial communication lines. This paper describes basic concepts of serial communication and looks more deeply into RS232 and RS485 serial communications standards. It describes usual methods of data recording and their application in practice. Data logger’s block diagram is described in detail for each of its parts. Their descriptions contain an overview of circuits, which allows realization of individual blocks and circuit diagram of selected circuit. Following chapters describes design of printed circuit board, control application for PC and firmware for the microcontroller.
Design and Construction of a Two-Wheel Mobile Robot
Meisl, Milan ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design and construction of a two-wheeled mobile robot. In order to prepare a high-quality project, a testing carriage has been constructed serving as a basis of useful information for the final design and construction. Beside introduction and conclusion, the diploma thesis consists of four main parts. While the first part of the thesis briefly introduces the field of robotics, the theoretical part focuses both on particular components necessary for the robot's construction as well as the Segway vehicle which served as an inspiration for the robot's functionality. After characteristics of a testing carriage, attention is devoted to individual methods of stabilization, with several different types of sensors being used. Furthermore, the chapter on mechanical design examines choice of devices and their position and provides a scheme for their construction. The electrical design follows afterwards, describing circuits that were considered optimal for the designed wiring. The forth part of the diploma thesis concentrates on the construction of a two-wheeled carriage and covers following topics: construction of mechanical components, production of electric boards, programmatic equipment of the carriage and its implementation, testing of the carriage and finally also an evaluation of achieved results.
Design of switch-mode audio power amplifier
Macek, Libor ; Petržela, Jiří (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This paper is divided into four parts. The first part deals with the description and explanation of the general principles of switching concept amplifiers. The second part is occupied with design of Class-D amplifier, a description of each block and calculations. A significant part of proposal of amplifier is based on simulations from programs Pspice and Filter Free. In the third part deign of power unit is discussed. The last part is focused on the measurement results on a prototype device.
Multiple-funktion steering wheel Formule Student
Paulus, Luboš ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
The Master‘s thesis deals with a creating of display writers on multiple-function steering wheel Formule Student. It is mainly about dates transfered through RS232 or CAN bus from control unit of the Formule to microcontroller. First of all it is necessary to find out, which informations and a which way of displaying them are more useful and readable for drivers. This leads to another point - right choice of display writers, which will be used on the steering wheel. Creation of the design and construction of display device follows.
Ambulant Cardiac Monitor
Vaníček, Aleš ; Strašil, Ivo (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and practical realization of a prototype mobile, battery-powered device that is able to periodically recording electrocardiogram and fotopletysmogram or blood pressure. Data from these periodic scanning is processed by microcontroller and stored on a memory card which is part of the proposed device. The device can be connected to a PC via USB like a virtual serial port.
D-Class Audio Amplifiers and Their Computer Simulation
Bednár, Branislav ; Herencsár, Norbert (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
This term paper deals with the class D audio amplifiers. The paper discusses the evaluation of the components of the amplifiers and descriptions , as well as the analysis of signal properties occurring in important parts of amplifier circuits. The Thesis continues with a printed circuit board design, amplifier implementation and measuring its parameters
Precision audio preamplifier for headset measurement
Šimek, Michal ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with microphone and headphone preamplifier for microtelephone and headset. The design shall meet the electrical interface requirements set out in ITU-T Rec. P.381(08/2012). The design includes a voltage converter, microtelephone bias and both a battery and an external power supply. In this work is also described the design of printed circuit board and the solution of a low noise in the whole circuit. The aim of this thesis is to design, built and embed the laboratory fixture into a metal box. Finally, measure the product on an APx525 audio precision analyzer.
Ultrasound blood flow detector
Vožda, Michal ; Dlouhý, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with Doppler methods of measuring blood flow in blood vessels and a simple design with a continuous wave for the 4 MHz frequency and intensity of ultrasound 100 mW/cm2. The work contains a description of the functional blocks and design of their involvement. Individual blocks are simulated in PSpice. The resulting circuit is a printed circuit board and a 3D model of the plate fitted in EAGLE.
