Coming out - analysis of mentoring conversations

This qualitative work is focused on issues related to the non-heterosexual orientation that young people, aged 12-18 who enter the online advice web S barvou ven, are dealing with. These problems were most often related to the process of coming out of which non- heterosexual people most often go through adolescence. The data for this research was obtained directly from the conversations provided by the web S barvou and subsequently a thematic analysis was carried out. The theoretical part describes the development of sexual and gender identity, focusing mainly on adolescence. Information on LGBT people was also provided. Separate chapter was dedicated to the issue of coming out. In the practical part, thematic analysis of chat conversations was carried out. Based on this, four categories of topics were identified - internal coming out, external coming out, reactions to coming out and partner relationships.
Trans* Identity and Parenting in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with experiences and ideas of parenting trans*'s persons in the context of their identity. I primarily follow feminist theories and constructivist paradigm, where the research being realized through semi-structured interviews. In the theoretical part I define the basic terms and concepts on which my work is based. I focus on the conceptualization of trans* identities, on the concept of transsexuality in the Czech medical and socio-legal discourse, as well as on their limits in terms of gender perspective. Furthermore, I present the partnership and sexual relations of trans* persons, which then lead me to parenthood itself in the context of trans * identities. Finally, I deal with the coming-out process, especially with a focus on offspring. Within the analytical part I am interested in the attitude of trans* people to prevent reproductive function as the legal condition of gender transition, what reproductive ways and ways of parenting they choose, what obstacles they encounter in the context of parenthood and how they perform their parental role. Children's book as a possible educational tool for the tolerance of homoparental families

The thesis with the name "Children's book as a possible educational tool for the tolerance of homoparental families" is focused on gay parenting, prevention of homophobia and content analysis of children's books which contains the topic of gay parenting. The aim of the thesis is to let teachers and the public know about the topic of homoparental families and to show them books which can be useful in helping them understand them. The theoretical part of my thesis is divided into five main chapters which describe the main concepts connected with the thesis. The first chapter describes sexual orientation, the history of homosexuality and how a person becomes homosexual. There are many various opinions from many authors who focus on this topic. The second chapter describes the difference between registered partnership and marriage. There are different kinds of families and different opinions on normality and gender in the third chapter. The topics of homoparental families and raising children in gay families are included in the fourth chapter. And the last chapter is about children's books and why they are important for children and their development. Coming out and substance abuse

This work dealt with the process of coming out and the use of addictive substances. The thesis has two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part was created using the literature mentioned in the literature of this work. The theoretical part contains chapters and subchapters dealing with homosexuality, the process of coming out and the use of addictive substances. The practical part relates to the research itself. I used quantitative research strategy. Questionnaire method and questionnaire technique was used for the research. The questionnaire was rewritten as an internet link in Survio programme. The link to the questionnaire was distributed through social networks and gay communities.140 respondents were in survey. The aim of the thesis was to test the relationship between coming out and using addictive substances. The research question has been asked whether there is a relationship between coming out and using addictive substances. Six working hypotheses have been formulated. All hypothesis were invalidated. The answer is taht there was no statistically significant relationship between coming out and substance abuse.
Mindfulness in homosexually oriented individuals

The focus of this work is to bring the idea of mindfulness closer, in terms of connection with other personality traits. Additionally it highlights the use of mindfulness in psychotherapy practice, specifically in regard to homosexually orientated clients. The study summarizes the main findings on the mindfulness phenomenon, highlighting the important aspects of adopting a new identity within this demographic. The study also monitors the connection of coming out process with particular aspects of mindfulness. In the empirical section the results of the FFMQ questionnaire, in which participated 294 persons of both male and female gender and of both heterosexual and homosexual orientation are compared using quantitative methods. By means of statistical analysis of variance (ANOVA) it was determined that the homosexually orientated do not differ significantly from those of heterosexual orientation. Furthermore there was no significant statistical difference in mindfulness between genders within the research sample. Approach adolescent to homosexuality

Annotation: This paper's thesis "Approach adolescent to homosexuality" is divided to two parts. The first part is theoretical and the second is practical. In the theoretical part I deal with the topic of homosexuality from the historical and present perspective. The goal of this part is to introduce the main problems of homosexuality. In the practical part I carry out a survey on high schools and interviews six homosexuals. The goal of the survey was to found out if the higher education on schools has influence to the opinion of adolescents on these problems. I want to point out how persons with this sexual orientation sense the attitude of society to homosexuality in the interviews with homosexuals.
Contemporary Czech Sexology and Homosexuality

7 ABSTRACT This thesis focuses on a textual analysis of articles in the field of sexology, which were published in the Czech Republic after 1989. It will examine through both quantitative and qualitative methods, how authors of sexological articles defined the term homosexuality and worked with it, as well as explore their varying approaches to the topic depending on context. The thesis will ask whether the sexological discourse about homosexuality has changed after the fall of the communist regime, and if it has, in what ways.
