Minimalizace provozních nákladů pneumatických výrobních systémů
Horňák, Jan
The subject of the master thesis is the determination of process and implementation measures within energy management with a focus on compressed air consumption and leakage in pneumatic production systems. In cooperation with the company SMC Industrial Automation CZ s.r.o., the methodology of compressed air leakage detection using an ultrasound-based device was applied in an unnamed manufacturing company focusing on pneumatic production systems, which consist of twelve separate production lines. Measuring of the technical status of each production line, evaluation of the data, determination of measures and recommendations leading to minimization of operating costs. Comparison of leakage measurement methods and cost reduction opportunities for compressed air consumption.
Compressed-air energy storage
Strnad, Jan ; Mauder, Tomáš (referee) ; Klimeš, Lubomír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the problematics of compressed air energy storage. It includes a short introduction to the thermodynamics of ideal gases. The suitable geological conditions for the selection of CAES (compressed air energy storage) systems, the advantages and disadvantages of each type, the method of their production, and the process of compressed air accumulation itself were discussed. The thesis presents individual diagrams of compressed air power plants, and special attention is given to the description of the accumulation process. The last section is focused on the description and comparison of two built CAES systems working on an identical concept and also presents information on the unrealized planned CAES systems.
Demonstration tasks for pneumatic automation devices
Uhlíř, Miloš ; Parák, Roman (referee) ; Hůlka, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the creation of materials for teaching with a focus on automation using pneumatic automation devices. First of all, it is necessary to find out the availability and quality of freely available materials dealing with the same topic. Based on these findings, then create a theoretical basis and follow-up demonstration tasks. It was required that the complexity of this work would allow even a complete layman to understand the basics of designing and constructing pneumatic systems and circuits.
Design of end effector for testing the defects in plastic bottles
Karn, Pavel ; Szabari, Mikuláš (referee) ; Kočiš, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of an end effector for robot that will be able to test the presence of defects in plastic bottles during their handling. The first part of the thesis is devoted to theory and deals with the different types of defects in plastic bottles as well as the currently used technologies for defect detection. The second part is focused on the systematic analysis and design of the variants, from which the most suitable one was selected using multicriteria analysis. The following part deals with the actual design of the selected variant and the necessary engineering calculations. The last part is devoted to the estimation of costing and the creation of manufacturing drawings.
Analyses of the Compressed Air Energy Storage proces in Ansys Fluent system
Hájková, Věra ; Šabacká, Pavla (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses different types of energy storage in the introduction. It describes the different technologies, their functions, advantages and disadvantages. It compares them on the basis of the ESOI ratio, which is the ratio of energy stored on invested. The main type of energy storage covered in the term paper is compressed air energy storage. The thesis describes the principle of a method of energy storage as well the companies and projects that are working on or using this technology. Furthermore, the issue of heat energy loss during air compression is outlined, which leads to a significant reduction in efficiency. The last part of the thesis is a practical part, which uses a model example to show the temperature and pressure evolution during the pumping of air into the storage tank.
Increasing the range of a vehicle with alternative propulsion
Dryml, Tomáš ; Ranuša, Matúš (referee) ; Navrátil, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with increasing the range of a vehicle with an alternative drive, which is compressed air. First, an analysis of the pneumatic circuit is performed, from which the areas to be modified result. To improve, it is chosen to find a suitable working pressure and the correct filling, which is calculated on the basis of constant pressure filling and subsequent adiabatic gas expansion. From the theoretical calculation, the runs per cylinder stroke at different pressures are determined and the selected pressures are subsequently experimentally verified. The results show that the most suitable setting increased the range from 331 meters using the original setting, to 616 meters with the new setting.
Accumulation of electricity for a source with unstable production
Petrenec, Jan ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with possibilities of accumulation of electricity generated by renewable sources with unstable production. Several goals were set by an assignment of this thesis. Within a research, current trends of the accumulation are presented in detail on examples of specific representatives with their technical parameters and economic possibilities. Further, an unstable source of electricity – the wind farm of three power plants Multibrid 5000 with all its parameters and operational details is defined for purposes of individual designs of accumulation systems. Firstly, the detailed design of an advanced compressed air energy storage (A-CAES) is realized. It includes a thermodynamic calculation of chosen components, their partial technical solutions, a financial evaluation of investment and a determination of theoretical payback period. Furthermore, the design for accumulators Tesla Powerpack is realized. It contains a calculation of individual system parameters, a financial evaluation of investment and a determination of theoretical payback period. Last part of the thesis is dedicated to a comparison and an evaluation of the achieved results of both realized methods of the electricity accumulation. In the end, A-CAES is chosen as more perspective variation.
Optimization of ultrasonic leak detector of pneumatic system
Macků, Ondřej ; Mazal, Pavel (referee) ; Vlašic, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with design and optimization of exchangeable modules for localization of air distributable ultrasound in concept of ultrasound probe design. Several series of these modules were manufactured using the technology of rapid prototyping and tested on artificially created source of air leak. Based on these verification experiments two types covering wide use for identification of pneumatic systems leaks were selected and modified. These two types are long range module for more accurate and expended reach of the leak detection and focusing attachment for narrowing the received range of scanning module and elimination of surrounding ultrasound. Part of the thesis is also analysis of the acoustic signal processed by modern acoustic emission analysers which allow besides standard parameters recording also continuous sampling up to 10 MHz and design solution for attachment of add-on modules to the detector. The thesis is beneficial for raising awareness of leak measurements, prototype manufacturing by using the 3D printing and designing and manufacturing of modules.
