Magnet hospitals

Summary: The aim of thi disertation was to enlighten the term magnet hospital. Introduction of this thesis describes personnel situation in health care systém in the Czech republic and globaly. It also shows predictions of the future critical nurse staff shortage on labour market all around the world and it's possible impact on quality of care. Magnet hospitals as the kind of organization that creates work enviroment which increases nurses work satisfaction, quality of care and patients outcomes, sees the author as one of the possible solution of nursing shortage in the Czech republic. Second part of this theses, rpresents the results of the qualitative and quantitative research, participant were 16 nurses at the management positions (structured intewies) and 250 nurses (questionare NWI-R autor's own translation). Results: It was obvious that still prevails the traditional hierarchy and medical model of care delivery. Also there is streotypical view of the role and position of the nurses in health care teams, nurses do not feel like they are involved in management of the hospital. Childbirth as a journey

The childbirth in the medical discourse is still viewed as a proces of high risk. The birth at home is then in such a discourse considered to be hazardous practice which can threaten the life of the unborn child. This paper tries to contribute to the discussions about the freedom of choice of the place of birth. The birth is then viewed from the perspective of gender as a constructed phenomenon culturaly and socialy biased. The main focus is on the research of the experience of women who gave birth at home. Their experience is to be considered as constructed as well, therefore I investigate the leverages that influence their interpretation of the birth experience. I am also interested in researching how their experience influenced their futher life and what meaning they asign to it in the context of their life experience as such. Further interest of this paper is to research the knowledge that the women, who gave birth at home, used during the proces of childbirth. The main focus is to elicit the auhoritative knowledge based on which they make decisions and how this knowledge is constituted.

The thesis is focused on the topic of leadership in non­governmental non­profit organizations. The thesis is focused on specifics of process of leadership in non­governmental non-profit sector with the greatest emphasis on the difference in the approaches of leadership of paid staff and volunteers, these groups of people are a very important and typical part of NGO. The thesis presents the most commonly used theories of leadership in the organizations, as well as describes the importance of leadership in the NGO. A qualitative method of data obtaining is used in the empirical part of the thesis. It is possible to describe the course of the process of leadership in NGO from interviews with the leaders and its specifics can be pointed out. The study is focused on human beeing concept deals with the concept in John Amos Comenius work There are nine chapters each of them represents one part of his lifelong work. The first chapter contains basic information about Comenius, therefore his biographical details and link to today's world. The next chapter discusses the Unity of Brethren, that influenced his life and work. The following chapter is devoted to pedagogical thinking, which monitors developments and advances in pedagogy for the life of Comenius. Other chapters are devoted to his conception of philosophy, antropology and theology pansophism. The work outlines all the areas in which Comenius delas with man.
SUR Theory - Psychotherapeutic Training Community as a Tertiary Family

Objectives: Theoretical contribution of the research is to extend knowledge about the impact of psychotherapeutic training on its participants. Community and group psychotherapeutic training is an endemic phenomenon which does not appear out of the Czech Republic and has not been systematically investigated yet. Goal: The main goal of my dissertation is to detect the influence of psychotherapeutic community training on its members. Subjects: The subject of investigation is 168 introspectional texts which participants of psychotherapeutic community wrote immediately after completing the training. The texts were developed from the diaries which the members wrote during the 5 years persistence of training. Research methods: Qualitative analyses of documents based on application of methods, techniques and procedures of "grounded theory". Content analysis and focus groups were used as complementary methods. Conclusions: This study formulates an integrated theory of psychotherapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral methods, psychodynamic psychotherapy and expressive therapeutic techniques concentrated in a system of community and psychotherapy group training. This thesis is devoted to the development of employees in the organization, their motivation to further self-education and formulation of recommendations aimed at the relevsnt use of stimulative and motivational elements. Attention will be paid to the leadership style of managers as a factor of employee's motivation whatsoever for its further development responsibility. Subject to examination and the objective of the work is to evaluate the role of leadership style in the education process in the organization and add the existing knowledge with the relationship between leadership styles and motivation to actively participate in the acquisition and diffusion of knowledge and skills. With the research survey, questionnaire and interviews is made an analysis on the motivation of employees in specific organizations and evaluation of factors that have a major impact on employees motivation to their further developement.
