Dynamic competitive balance of the highest football leagues in selected European countries
Chocholouš, Vojtěch ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Krause, Veronika (referee)
Title: Dynamic competitive balance of the highest football leagues in selected European countries. Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to identify the dynamic competitive balance in the first and second leagues in selected European countries and to outline their development trend. The first sub-objective of the thesis is to compare the dynamic competitive balance of the investigated competitions with each other. The second sub-objective of the thesis is to compare the results of dynamic competitive balance with those obtained by the static method of competitive balance. Methods: This thesis calculates dynamic competiitve balance using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The results show that the first leagues are usually less balanced than the second highest leagues. The result also shows that the first leagues reports an increasing tendency of competitive imbalance. The only exception is the top Polish league. On the other hand, most of the second leagues reports a decreasing tendency of competitive imbalance. The exceptions are the second Spanish and Polish leagues. The Portuguese second league appears to be the most evenly balanced competition, followed by the Spanish second league. The least balanced leagues are the First Dutch League and the First English League....
Vliv vynaložených finančních prostředků na výsledky voleb
Novák, Ondřej
This bachelor thesis deals with the quantification of the influence of spent funds on the results of elections in the Czech Republic and political marketing. The aim is to evaluate the relationship between finances and votes obtained in elections. The first part explains the concepts of political marketing. Subsequently, data from the presidential, senate and parliamentary elections to the European Parliament and the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic are statistically processed. These data are commented and subsequently also transferred to the general level of elections in the Czech Republic. Recommendations are also made for setting up a successful election campaign.
Road infrastructure of a selected region
KRTEK, Aleš
This bachelor thesis deals with the relationship between the quality of the road network and economic growth in the region. The aim of this work is to evaluate the connection between the road network and economic growth. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with transport infrastructure, economic growth of the region and the relationship between transport and economic growth. The practical part presents the economic indicators used in work, the definition of quality of a I. class road, the improvement of road network quality in each region, out of the 8, that have been selected, and in the end the bachelor thesis contains an evaluation of the relationship between road network quality and economic growth using correlation coefficient
The influence of sport migration on Czech volleyball
Garreis, Dominik ; Crossan, William Morea (advisor) ; Čáslavová, Eva (referee)
Title: The influence of sport migration on Czech volleyball Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to use statistical analysis to examine the dependency between number of foreign players operating in Czech volleyball clubs and the achieved winning percentage in the basic part of the Czech extra league for the seasons 2010/11 to 2021/22. Furthermore, the dependence between the number of Czech representatives playing abroad and the performance of the men's national team at international competitions was statistically analyzed. The obtained results are then compared with the results of in-depth interviews with selected players and coaches, who help explain the findings and provide additional information from practice. Methods: The work contains a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods in the order of sequential triangulation. The first method deals with finding the tightness and type of statistical dependence through the Spearman correlation coefficient. The second method concerns conducting semi-structured in-depth interviews, according to an outline created on the basis of statistical results. Results: The migration of players has a significant impact on the Czech extra league and the Czech national team. The low number of Czech players forces clubs to use foreign players in...
The relationship between physical activity and physical fitness of four years old children
Matějovská, Anna ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Turčová, Ivana (referee)
Title: The relationship between physical activity and physical fitness of four years old children Objectives: The main goal was to find out whether physical activity affects the physical fitness of four year old children. The partical goal was to find out what differences are between boys and girls in the time spent in physical activity. Whether there is a lack of exersise in early childhood. Another partial goal was to find out whether children spend more time in medium - high intensity on a working day or on a weekend. Methods: The research group consisted of 6 boys and 6 girls with an average age o 4.52 ± 0.3, who attend a kindergarten in Klánovice. Weekly monitoring with ActiGraph GT9X was used to measure physical activity. Physical fitness was assessed using motor tests, constisting of 4 x 5 m shuttle run, long jump, speed throw, moving cubes, skipping barrier, flexibility and Beep test. Results: The results showed no major relationship between time spent physical activity and motor test results. In all tests, the correlation coefficient was below 0.4. Between boys and girls were more active girls. And the results did not show any differences between the physical activity on working day or weeekend, 5 children were more active during the working say, 5 children over the weekend, 2 children...

The relationships between atmospheric circulation and surface climatic elements in Europe
Pokorná, Lucie ; Huth, Radan (advisor)
The relationships between atmospheric circulation and surface climatic elements in Europe Lucie Pokorná Abstract The variability of atmospheric circulation is the most important factor determining the changes in surface climatic elements. In this work, the relationship between atmospheric circulation and surface climatic elements like the temperature and the precipitation amounts and occurrence over the European region and some other climatic elements in central Europe is focused. The atmospheric circulation during the year is represented by modes of low-frequency circulation variability in sea level pressure (SLP) and 500-hPa heights (Z500) obtained by using statistical method "Principal component analysis". The Pearson correlation coefficient is used to describe the relationship between modes and climatic elements. Four circulation patterns in Z500 over Euro-Atlantic sector influence climate in Europe all over the year: the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) pattern, the East Atlantic (EA) pattern, and two Eurasian patterns (EU1, EU2). There were found patterns in SLP that strongly correlate with modes of the Z500 and influence surface climate similar way. Statistically important correlations of modes in Z500 and SLP with maximum, minimum and mean temperature, precipitation amounts and occurrence of...
Measures of dependence
Matoušková, Monika ; Pawlas, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
The most common measure of dependence is the correlation coefficient. Its problem is that it can be zero for two dependent random variables. We will discuss two measures of dependence, which are equal to zero if and only if the two random variables are inde- pendent. We will compare them with Pearson's correlation coefficient. The first one will be the maximal correlation, which is often difficult to calculate. That is why we define the maximal polynomial correlation, which is easier to calculate and is non-decreasing in a degree of a polynomial. We also define the distance correlation and we discuss other ways of the expression of distance correlation, which can be used in the calculation. We deal with the case of normal distribution and we show some calculations of these measures of dependence. 1
Sensor Security - Verification of Image Authenticity
Juráček, Ivo ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis is about image sensor security. Goal of the thesis was study data integrity gained from the image sensors. Proposed method is about source camera identification from noise characteristics in image sensors. Research was about influence of denoising algorithms applied to digital images, which was acquired from 15 different image sensors. Finally the statistical evaluation had been done from computed results.
