Design of wind turbine regulator
Kowalczyk, Wiktor ; Vrána, Michal (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with charge control of a lead acid battery driven by 300 W wind turbine. The thesis is divided into four parts. First deals with the issue of lead battery charge controllers and the definition of a regulator for a wind turbine with permanent magnet synchronous generator, including a description of the regulated system elements. The second part deals with measurments done on the given system. Third part describes the design, algorithms and regulator programming and the last part describes construction and testing of a built-in controller.
Design of wind power plant
Starý, Ondřej ; Dlugoš, Jozef (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
Renewable energy sources are currently a much-discussed issue. One of the possibilities of their use is the production of electricity using wind power plants. This work therefore describes in detail construction of wind turbines. At the same time, there is a brief evaluation of wind power plants, from an energy and economic point of view. Part of the work is also the calculation of the optimization of the gearbox weight and a description of the design of the wind turbine coupling.
Construction and building of a wind turbine
Pavlík, Šimon ; Linda, Jakub (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to write a background research which deals with construction and building process of big wind turbines. The theory of potential wind energy and fundamental principal of the wind power are introduced in the first chapter of this bachelor thesis. The second chapter deals with the description of each part of wind turbine and the differences in their construction depending on individual needs. Third chapter presents problems and solutions of transportation and construction of wind turbines. Fundamental building and logistic mechanisms are also included. The last part of this bachelor thesis is focused on multi-rotor wind turbines which can represent the future in the wind power industry.
The Autonomous House or Living Grid-off
Chlebný, Radek ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with energy self-sufficiency focusing on the independence of the electric grid. Basic line emanating project form a concrete proposal for autonomous energy supply system. Emphasis is placed primarily on photovoltaic systems, electric energy accumulation and selection of individual components of such a system. Another important part of the thesis is also an economic evaluation of design variations. The thesis also deals with a market research, and thereof derived benefit assessment of each technology. The accompanying chapters are then devoted to the history of autonomous life style or classification of buildings according to their energy performance.
Potential of utilization of wind energy in the Czech Republic
Kolařík, Ivo ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Košner, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with a potential of wind energy utilization in the Czech Republic. This thesis contains description of the wind map of the Czech Republic, analysis of posibility of wind energy utilization for electric energy generation as well as suggestion of criteria for choosing the most suitable for wind turbine construction.
Aerodynamics of axial wind turbines
Dubnický, Ladislav ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays, the climate change issue is becoming more and more actual in our society. Increase of the average temperature on Earth in a couple of degrees could have catastrophic consequences. One of the possible solutions seems to be renewable energy sources as photovoltaics, biomass of water and wind energy. This thesis deals with the aerodynamics problems of wind energy source. Wind turbines transform kinetic energy of wind to mechanical power. The efficiency is physically limited to 59,26 %, but in reality, it is getting around 45 %. This is caused by three biggest losses inducted in wind turbines as wake losses, losses due to finite number of blades and drag losses. Based on analytical relationships and including these three losses the aerodynamics blade design is conducted. Later, the numerical simulations show higher values of drag and lower values of lift force on airfoil compared to analytical calculation. In fact, percentage deviations are acceptable and to conclude, the numerical analysis was able to relatively accurately simulate force action of free stream velocity on the blade.
Economics operation of Wind Power Plant
Osička, Aleš ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to acquaint the readers with the types of wind turbines, with principle of their operation, construction design and conditions which have to be implement by the planned project of wind turbine construction before the construction is begun. There are described selected types of power plants from different manufacturers. Theoretical assessment of the adequacy of the power construction on exact place and implementing the selection of a suitable power plant according to economic evaluation method of net present value, internal rate of return and the payback period is also included. In the last part of the thesis, there is made the proposal of connection of the power into distribution system.
Transmission of Air Turbines
Off-grid street lamp design.
Navržené řešení znamená finanční přínos z hlediska šetření neobnovitelnými zdroji energie a případnými finančními výhodami pro investora plynoucími z provozování veřejného osvětlení. Pouliční lampa nezávislá na vnějším zdroji napájení má navíc menší negativní dopad na životní prostředí a představuje technologie využívání větrné a solární energie v přívětivé a nerušivé podobě.
