Filozofie pro děti jako pomoc mezigeneračnímu dialogu o charakteru společnosti "dříve" a "dnes"

This bachelor thesis aims to discover, whether the method of Philosophy for children can be used for facilitating the intergenerational dialog. Theoretical part describes principles of this method in connection to its history, philosophical basis, development of three-dimensional thinking and thinking skills. Further, it defines basic characteristics of life period of adolescence and old age with focus on the process of discovering self-identity, the importance of adolescent peer groups for this age group and adaptation to the old age by seniors. Within the question of the intergenerational conflict it also discusses mutual conflicts between these age groups and their causes, in particular regard to the ageism, age segregation of negative stereotypes. Research part of this theses aims to answer following question by quantitative research in focus groups: "Is it possible to perceive the elements of philosophical dialog during the discussion in focus group?" and "Is it possible to perceive the problems concerning characteristics of "before" and "now" time period that are being discussed by the focus group during the discussion?". The research is being conducted in the form of lesson of Philosophy for children, during which a discussion between 2 focus groups takes place - an adolescent group and a senior group. Gathered data are analysed by coding and subsequently interpreted in relation to the established research questions.
Diversity in the beauty industry and its perception in Czech environment

This bachelor thesis focuses on diversity in the beauty industry and its perception in Czech environment. Firstly, the theoretical framework introduces the concept of diversity marketing and describes how brands can include different underrepresented groups in their marketing strategies. For the purpose of this thesis, we recognize five such groups, namely: racial and ethnic minorities, people over the age of 50, people with various body shapes and sizes, members of the LGBTQ+ community and people with disabilities. So we focus on multicultural marketing, age-agnostic marketing, body-positive marketing, LGBTQ+ marketing and marketing strategies that include people with disabilities. Subsequently, we provide a few examples of several diverse cosmetic brands and we show that the inclusion of neglected groups can have a positive effect on consumer satisfaction and company's success. A review of previous research on diversity and its perception is then presented. In the practical part, we examine the perception of diversity in the Czech Republic. Our focus is Generation Z. The data is collected through a questionnaire. Discriminatory practices of recruiters in the job search process in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis aims to describe and reveal discriminatory practices faced by candidates in the labor market in the Czech Republic. Using perspective and point of view of recruiters introduces an innovative element in examining discriminatory practices. Attention is paid to particular methods of recruitment, as they vary greatly. Each of them is targeting a different group of candidates for a job. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is theoretical, it introduces readers to the legislative regulation and protection against discrimination in the Czech law system. It shows the human capital theory, theory of queues and signals and personalist agenda. The second section is methodological, defining data and data collection methods. Following part is devoted to research itself, it describes the identified data from interviews with communication partners, which are then interpreted in the context of the theoretical background. Research among recruiters is focused on finding the characteristics of the ideal job candidate, fairness of admission process, but also to the used discriminatory practices. Final section brings the most important findings.

1 "Social assistance for seniors" Abstract The rigorous thesis aims at the theme of social services and care allowance in connection to care towards specific social services clients who are the elderly. The aging of population is the very actual topic not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. The Czech population grows. However, the growth within the group of elderly is considerable compared to others. According to the forecasts, the population will still be getting older, and that will result in a greater need for care of the elderly. The rigorous thesis consists of six parts. The first chapter deals with the aging and old age, including the ageism phenomenon, and outlines social assistance for the elderly as a part of the social security system of the Czech Republic. The second chapter aims at social services not only from the view of users (the elderly) but also of social services providers. The author has tried to analyse the potential difficulties of social work. The system of social services financing is also mentioned. The third chapter describes care allowance, eligibility for it, its control, and use. Seniors and active aging in the seniors'house in Ostrava

Demographic aging of population brings a number of needs, demands and changes in many areas of social life. In this case, Czech Republic has accepted several documents which also contain National Programme of Preparation for Aging for 2003 - 2007, and then for 2008 - 2012. This document regards to the concept of active aging and old age, which was accepted by the World Health Organization in the 90's, defined as a process of health quality development, seniors' social participation and the entire rising of a quality of life in an old age. The activity becomes desirable and proper way of the seniors' life. The diploma project is focused on the seniors' activities, specifically on the offer of activation activities and their usage in Ostrava seniors' house. The theoretical part is pursued on the definition of aging and old age, physical, mental and social changes and the science disciplines, which are focused on those. Besides, it deals with social services, closer with the seniors' houses, activity and activation in the houses and about the concept of active aging, National Programme of Preparation for Aging and European Year of Active Aging.
