Impact of the covid-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of female volleyball players between the age of 14 and 16.
Bendová, Tereza ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of girls aged 14 to 16. The aim of this work is to evaluate the impact of the pandemic on a particular group of female volleyball players on the basis of recorded data. The theoretical part focuses on the pandemic itself, but mainly on the physical activity linked with the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical part also expands on information about volleyball and the individual player positions. The practical part deals with the recorded data and its evaluation. For data collection, I chose special motor tests performed on volleyball that test specific motoric abilities of volleyball players. The results showed that the physical fitness of the female volleyball players deteriorated in all tested areas. The biggest percentual deterioration can be found in the K-test used to measure speed. The deterioration rate was recorded in 100% of the players. Furthermore, when comparing whether the players' performance after returning to training recovered to their pre-pandemic levels, I found that not all players were able to perform the same.
