The bachelor thesis deals with process improvement at the final assembly workplace of ABB, an electrical engineering company engaged in the production of instrument transformers. The first part of the thesis presents the methods and theoretical foundations that are used in the later parts of the thesis. In the analytical part, the company ABB is first introduced and then the production process is analysed, followed by a detailed analysis of the processes at the final assembly workplace. The design part focuses on the elimination of waste in the final assembly workplace using lean manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma methods. The aim of the proposals is to reduce waste and thus achieve savings.
Process Optimization in the Company
Sojka, Jozef ; Bartošek, Vladimír (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
This thesis addresses the implementation of an e-shop platform for locksmith company XYZ with the aim of optimizing its processes and enhancing its market competitiveness. The current processes are analyzed, technical and functional aspects of the e-shop platform are proposed, and the financial viability of the project is assessed, including the return on investment. The work highlights how the digitalization of processes through an e-shop platform can improve efficiency, customer experience, and overall economic performance.
Optimization of the documentation management system for the end customer in a manufacturing company
Pejchal, Viktor ; Knoflíček, Radek (referee) ; Rozehnalová, Jana (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is the optimization of a documentation management system for an end customer in a manufacturing company specializing in the production of hydraulic aggregates. The main objective of the work is to improve the process of preparing product documentation. For this purpose, the methods of Six Sigma philosophy were used. After the analysis of the current state, measures were proposed to meet the set objectives and then the selected measures were implemented and technically and economically evaluated.
IT/IS support of internal processes of the Faculty of Science
PEVNÁ, Daniela
In this thesis, an analysis was conducted to identify faculty business processes that should be supported by IT resources. Three key areas of the Faculty of Science were selected. The first area is the request process for the maintenance department. To support the process, an application was created in the Microsoft Power Platform environment to enter, delegate and manage requests for the maintenance department. The second area is the process of creating the thesis assignment reports. The implementation of the application also created in Power Platform has significantly reduced the time for approval of the assignment report by all involved by making the approval electronic. The application included the assignment form, data imported from the STAG API, a comprehensive approval flow and a script to export the data to PDF. The proposed solution for the central document sharing repository area was only partially implemented because, even after several modifications to the proposed solution, a match could not be found with the Microsoft 365 administrator within the university, from whom interaction was required. The optimization in the maintenance department resulted in easing the administrative burden on the maintenance members, improving the maintenance members' overview of the repairs performed and tasks reassigned. It has also brought better information on the progress of repairs for the repair contractors. The digitisation of the assignment logs is now in Beta testing due to several changes to the assignment and no conclusions can be drawn regarding efficiency gains.
Optimizing the Delivery Process at the E-shop Branch
Illek, Adam ; Juřica, Pavel (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is to find a way to optimize the checkout process at a branch of an online store. By means of process analysis, graphic design of the branch and warehouse layout and analysis of primary and secondary data, a proposal was developed after their subsequent evaluation, which should streamline the checkout process and thus reduce the values of the monitored process metrics.
Intelligent Energy-Savings and Process Improvement Strategies in Energy-Intensive Industries
Teng, Sin Yong ; Professor, Ponnambalam Sivalinga Govindarajan, (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
(v) Porovnání techniky HTM (Hierarchical Temporal Memory) a duální optimalizace s několika prediktivními nástroji pro podporu managementu provozu v reálném čase. (vi) Implementace umělé neuronové sítě v rámci rozhraní pro konvenční procesní graf (P-graf). (vii) Zdůraznění budoucnosti umělé inteligence a procesního inženýrství v biosystémech prostřednictvím komerčně založeného paradigmatu multi-omics.
