Liquefaction of gaseous fuels and their storage by means of renewable energy resources
Cuřín, Martin ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Klimeš, Lubomír (advisor)
The liquefaction of gaseous fuels using renewable energy sources is a promising method for the efficient transportation and utilization of these fuels. This thesis primarily addresses the issues related to the liquefaction of natural gas, from its conditioning, liquefaction, to its storage and transportation. The economic balance evaluates three proposed scenarios for the transportation of natural gas to the Czech Republic. Additionally, the economic viability of using renewable energy sources for the liquefaction of natural gas is analysed. The aim of the thesis was to provide a basic overview of current liquefaction tech- nologies and to analyse the use of renewable energy in the process of liquefaction and seasonal storage of natural gas. The results indicate that the use of renewable sources for liquefaction can be economically advantageous and beneficial in the sustainability of the energy sector.
Photovoltaic system project for the Holešov commercial building
Pospíšek, Timotej ; Vrtal, Matěj (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a photovoltaic system (PVS) for a commercial building in Holešov. The main objective was to develop a comprehensive project for a category A2 photovoltaic power plant that meets the requirements of the distribution network operator and maximizes the use of energy produced on-site. The work is divided into three main parts: familiarization with the rules for connecting and operating sources with inverters according to PPDS and RfG, design of the photovoltaic system including storage device, and preparation of project documentation for building permits. The results indicate that the proposed system is economically advantageous and contributes to environmentally clean energy supply. The economic analysis of the project, which includes available subsidies, confirms an investment return within 8 years.
Evaluation of Efficiency and Risks of Investment Project
Forman, Filip ; Bártů, Dominik (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis evaluates the efficiency and risks of an investment project of a family terraced house in Slatina, Brno. The aim is to analyze four options of the building use: reconstruction with rent, new building with rent, reconstruction with sale and new building with sale. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and methodologies for financial analysis and risk assessment. The practical part deals with the case study and financial analyses of each option. The conclusion offers a comparison of the options and recommendations for investors.
Design of an Information System Part
Khasanov, Kamil ; Koch, Miloš (referee) ; Neuwirth, Bernard (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the analysis and optimization of the information system of TheSoul Publishing. The aim of the work is to improve the processes of report generation, statistics collection and information processing. The focus of the thesis is on proposing changes leading to increased efficiency and better integration of system components. An economic analysis of the proposed changes was performed, which showed significant time and cost savings.
PV power plant project - category A1/A2
Pacalaj, Timotej ; Drápela, Jiří (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a category A1/A2 photovoltaic system for a specific building. The aim was to meet the requirements of the investor and the energy needs of the building. The thesis includes a research of PV connection requirements (PPDS-4, RfG), a review of available technologies and components, and system design using PVSOL software. The work also includes the production of project-level documentation for implementation, including a technical report, a single-pole schematic and a situation drawing. In addition to the technical aspects, an economic evaluation of the project is carried out in the thesis, providing the investor with an overview of the return on investment and financial efficiency of the PV plant. As a result, a comprehensive proposal for the implementation of a category A1/A2 PV plant is presented, taking into account both technical and economic aspects.
Construction technology stage of the superstructure of an apartment building in Karlovy Vary
Žemla, Jakub ; Řihák, Pavel (referee) ; Kantová, Radka (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the construction technology stage of the superstructure of an apartment building in Karlovy Vary. The main objective is to design optimal procedures and technologies for the construction of the superstructure, which includes monolithic reinforced concrete structures, infill masonry, and related works. The thesis provides detailed descriptions of technological processes such as formwork, rebar tying, concreting, and curing of concrete structures, as well as organizational aspects of the construction including material supply, storage, and sanitary facilities for workers. The analysis focuses on the economic comparison of different technological process variants and their impact on the project’s time and financial schedule. The result is a recommendation of the most efficient construction variant that meets the requirements for quality, safety, and economic efficiency.

Battery energy storage sizing optimization in industrial buildings with renewables
Prečuch, Martin ; Vrána, Michal (referee) ; Vojtek, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create an application, a software tool, which will allow to optimally choose the size of the battery storage, from an economic and technical point of view, using the calculation of energy and power balances. These calculations are based on input data for a defined period, object onsumption, battery storage parameters and photovoltaic power plant. In the theoretical part of the work, research was conducted to find suitable storage devices for industrial facilities and explore their potential applications. The third chapter covers the algorithmization and development of an application focused on peak shaving and reducing the reserved capacity of an industrial facility through battery storage. The chapter describes in detail the necessary input data for simulation, application development, and individual parts of the program are described using flow diagrams. Following this, the creation of the graphical user interface of the application and the economic analysis are detailed. The fourth chapter presents a case study with two scenarios. Based on the case study, the functionality of the application was verified, confirmed, and demonstrated.
