Laboratory assignment for microcontroller RP2040
Ševčík, Filip ; Burian, František (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design of laboratory exercises for a course dealing with em- bedded systems and microcontrollers. The exercises were designed for the Raspberry Pi Pico development board with a 32-bit microcontroller from the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The theoretical part describes this development board, the RP2040 microcontroller on which the board is based and the Arm Cortex-M0+ processor with which the RP2040 microcontroller is equipped. A printed circuit board was designed to test the laboratory exercises. The thesis also contains the laboratory assignments and instructions for the students.
Determining Stress Level from Heart Rate Monitoring
Hodulík, Hynek ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This thesis outlines the development of a prototype wearable embedded device intended for stress detection via physiological measurements utilizing an EKG sensor. Communication for the device is facilitated through Bluetooth LE. Accompanying the device is an algorithm designed to estimate stress levels locally based on collected heart rate variability data. Following a comparison of various methods, a multilayer perceptron was selected for stress detection. The proposed solution demonstrates an 85% accuracy rate in stress detection on WESAD dataset.
Multiaxis feedback cooling of particle in optical trap
Číž, Adam ; Adámek, Roman (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with a design and implementation of algorithms for multiaxis feedback cooling (which means positional control) of a particle in an optical trap with use of Kalman filter. Two control methods are proposed here, each of which is intended for use of a different actuator: a laser intensity modulator or a pair of electrodes. Next, the implementation of both methods on hardware with an FPGA is described. Functioning of both proposed algorithms is proven by a numerical simulation. In addition, the functioning of the control using electrodes is demonstrated by an experiment with an optical trap. The second method is fully prepared for use in an experiment.
Commissioning and expansion of an unfinished three-axis manipulator
Metz, Lukáš ; Králík, Jan (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
The objective of this theses is the development of the technological components needed for the commissioning of an unfinished three axis manipulator. That includes designing the control electronics, which will be mounted on a custom printed circuit board, development of needed firmware and software, and also the derrivation and implementation of the motor control logic. The fully functional manipulator will then be equiped with a digital microscope and a functioning focusing mechanism, which will provide the device with a possible utilization in laboratory settings.
Platform for Digital Predistortion Based on RFSoC
Kříčka, Tomáš ; Maňas, Ondřej (referee) ; Král, Jan (advisor)
Signal predistortion occurs in modern communication systems and in other systems requiring linear signal amplification. The objective is to learn about signal predistortion, the QORVO 1800 MHz FDD radio front-end and to implement the front-end control using Matlab computer program. I focus on controlling individual attenuators and amplifiers on the QORVO front-end with a program written in C. Using a single board computer Raspberry Pi 4B running Linux. Furthermore, the work involves the application of a SCPI server that operates based on TCP packets. As part of the introduction to the front-end, the power characteristic of the power amplifier is measured.
Automatical plant growing
Stupka, Tomáš ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Götthans, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design and an automated hydroponic station, which will be intended for the cultivation of herbs and vegetables for the purpose of user. The station will be controlled by a Raspberry Pi minicomputer, to which a number of sensors will be connected, which will check pH, EC, ambient temperature and other quantities. Furthermore, an external sensor with an ATMEGA328P control processor will be designed to check the ambient lighting parameters. A web interface will be created for the station, which will allow the user to follow the development of individual measured quantities over time.
Design of Flow, Temperature and Pressure Measuring System
Macíček, Ondřej ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis contains complete design of the complex measuring system for temperature, pressure and flow. Objects of measuring are pressure in rabbit’s heart ventricle, flow of the saline through the heart and the temperatures of physiological solution. Work is interested in programming of microcontroller and program for LabVIEW environment, which is used to view and export relevant data related to measuring. Text also contains technical documentation of functional sample of measuring system.
Automation of RC Models Control
Vávra, Jan ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is about controlling RC model with microcontroller ESP-32 through WiFi enabled mobile device with OS Android. Goal of this thesis is to make controlling RC model easier and more fun. Parts of this thesis are dealing with using pulse width modulation to control servos, creating a user interface and making a protocol for comunication between RC model and mobile device. Result of this work is application on OS Android, which sends instructions on microcomputer, that controls steering servo and elecromotor. System has predefined stunts on microcomputer and operator has a choice of defining custom stunt in application, which is send to microcomputer in series of individual instructions.
An Application Utilizing esmska Plugins for Sending SMS Messages via Web Gateways
Marton, Dominik ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and implementation of a console application, that utilizes esmska JavaScript modules to enable sending SMS messages from inside of user scripts via web gateways without CAPTCHA security plugin, and of a web service with REST interface making this application accessible remotely. Both are primarily made with the purpose of running on network devices with OpenWrt operating system while trying to minimise memory consumption. The whole solution is written in C with the help of libcurl library, embedded JavaScript interpreter Duktape and standard C library uClibc.
Brtnice City Bypass
Anděl, Petr ; Mitura, Jindřich (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
The goal of the bachelor’s thesis is a study of a bypass around city Brtnice. Brtnice is situated in Vysocina 13km southeast from city Jihlava. The reason for a study of bypass on route II/405 is to divert the transit away from city center. Road bypass is important part of modernisation route II/405 from city Jihlava to Třebíč. There were designed three variants of the bypass. Variant A is connected on the north and heading west the walley is overcome on south and connected back to existing route. Variants B and C are heading to the east both continue the direction of II/405 and are connected to existing route II/405 on south directly straight. Variant B correspond to regional plan. Variant C is distinct from variant B by connection of route II/403 and II/4034 on east from city.
