Šmejkalová, Klára ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Šerák, Michal (referee)
The first days are very important for each new person in the company. He or she decides if he/she wants to stay in this company after these few days. If the company has the system of adaptation for new employees it can help to reduce the risk of fluctuation. The most important people in this process are not the people from human resources as we can suppose but the future boss and new collegues. The new employee has to really understand what are the values of the company and what is he/she responsible for. The process of adaptation can not be only set up. The employee has to be evaluate and motivate during this process to see how effective it is. We can not leave new employee without help. We have to discuss the process of adaptation and next steps with the employee. I concentrate on the company Ahold Czech Republic, a.s. in my practical part of the essay. Ahold started to focus on adaptation process of employees in 2006. The company started with the pilot training for all new employees called ,,New Hires Training." Nevertheless the company focus more on the adaptation process for manageres. New special training was prepared for new manageres and they can learn about all process in the store and projects which have been running in the company so they can fulfill their position well in the future. The results...

Mičková, Kateřina ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Šerák, Michal (referee)
The demand for qualified employees is higher then the offering, both in Czech republic and internationally. Demand for specific skills, in addition to a greater demand for workforce generally, is making employee recruitment and retention much more difficult and expensive. Employer Branding claims to be an answer to this new challenge. This international concept focuses on developing an "employer brand" - mental image of a company as an employer. To achieve this, it is necessary to demonstrate what is specific and great about your company. Critical to succes of an Employment branding strategy is to focus both on labor market as well as current employees. In this thesis I describe recruitment and employee retention as they are perceived by the Employment branding concept.
Theoretical resources of education during old age
Drekslerová, Anna ; Šerák, Michal (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Zdeněk (referee)
Elaboration of the following text was primarily motivated by an effort to contribute toward propagation of awareness of a sense of education during old age and potentialities and limits of its practical realization. With utilisation of statistics, internetional documents and conclusions of assorted researches it is adverted to an evident discrepance between considerable expectations on education of elderly persons and its real situation, background and popularity within the present Czech society. What naturally couldn't stay out of interest is a theoretical comprehension of gerontagogy - a relatively modern science concerning with education "in old age and for old age", which I regard as a further, greatly advanced, qualitative stage in a process of differantiation and specialization of education sciences. A public demand that stands behind its formalization is widely associated especially with a worldwide trend of demographic aging. This trend represents - not only for gerontagogy - a major, unexplored area that raises many questions. What orientation of education in gerontagogy will prevail in future? Will its economic or humanitarian dimension win? Will education be adopted by old people themselves as an obvious part of a lifelong development and will it turn into a fulfilment of a responsible approach...
