Stability evaluation of cosmetic dispersions using centrifugal analyser

This bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of stability of cosmetics emulsions prepared from ingredients commonly available in laboratory and compared to the stability of commercially available body lotions. In the theoretical part cosmetics emulsion and methods used to stability measurements were described. Experimental part of this work at first describes the preparation of the emulsions. Furthermore, the stability of prepared emulsion was compared to commercially available ones using the centrifugal analyser LUMiSizer. In conclusion, the test results obtained from analyser LUMiSizer have showed the stability of the commercial emulsions and two prepared samples.

Mitochondrial gene expression in trypanosomatids

This thesis comprises of diverse projects all focused towards analysis of mitochondrial translation in unicellular parasites. As only two mitochondrially encoded genes are required during the life cycle stage when Trypanosoma brucei resides in the bloodstream of a mammalian host, this protist provides a simplified background in which to study mitochondrial translation termination phase. The leading project utilizes T. brucei to examine mitochondrial translation termination factor TbMrf1 by gene knockout. Subsequently, it is suggested that the peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase TbPth4 is able to abate the TbMrf1 knockout phenotype by its ability to rescue mitoribosomes that become stalled when TbMrf1 is absent. Additionally, modifying methyltransferase of TbMrf1, the TbMTQ1, was characterized. And finally, this work contributed to the development of the protein expression regulation method in Leishmania parasites, a protocol for measurement of proton pumping activity of FoF1 ATPase complex in native mitochondria, and optimization of purification protocol for hydrophobic recombinant proteins.

The Role of Institutions in Non-State Armed Groups' Governance: The Case of EPLF

This diploma thesis deals with one of the aspects of armed groups' governance, namely the institutions that are created or used by armed groups and the role these institutions play in the military-civilian relations. The case study chosen is the Eritrean People's Liberation Front. This armed group was formed in 1973 in the context of the struggle for Eritrea's independence, and in the next decades it created a management system that included taxation, political committees, education, health care, and dispute settlement mechanisms. After the establishment of independent Eritrea in 1993, ELOF evolved into the People's Front for Democracy and Justice, which still remains a ruling Eritrean political party. The primary aim of the thesis is to answer the question of the role played by institutions created by non-state armed groups in building their relations with the civilian population. He is also marginally devoted to the development of Eritrea after independence.

The role of brief in tender for marketing campaigns

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of a tender procedure and the importance of a high-quality brief which facilitate this process. Theoretical part focuses on advertising agencies, their history, division and covering associations. Furthermore, the recommended content of the brief and the tender procedure by Association of communication agencies are specified. The role of quality research through the expert interview is emphasized. In the practical part of this thesis is interviewed the contracting authority and the agency's failure in the specific tender is being investigated. Following this research, there are recommendations for the agency resulting from the interview.

Bibliotherapy as a tool to develop the communication skills of pupils with mild intellectual disability

Diploma Work Bibliotherapy as a tool of developing communication skills pupils with mild intellectual disabilities deals with opportunity of using bibliotherapy and its elements within Czech langage lessons. The educator by the means of appropriate reading materials affects the verbal expression advancement of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. The aims to develop suitable exercises and arrange them into a bibliotherapy program, to show the beneficial effect that working with texts can have on the pupils' communicative competence, and to make certain that the program operates as expected, through working directly with the pupils, observing them and evaluating the different outputs of the program. Outcomes of the research prove pupils' improvements in desired sphere. Nature and Historical Characteristics of the Jizera Mountains

This bachelor thesis describes natural relations and history of the Jizera Mountains. First part is focused on geological and geomorphological processes creating the landscape and also on climatic and hydrological aspects. A second part gives an account of flora, which is a little reduced due to poor mineral subsoil. The exceptions are peat-bogs. These ecological subtypes represent the most valuable and the most important biotope of the Jizera Mountains. There we could discover a lot of unique and protected species of plants and animals. A history of the Jizera Mountains mapping here the settlements from prehistory age to modern times is also described in detail. Neither I do not forget to mention a development of textile and glass industry, which are also very important for this region at the field of economics. The deportation of the Germans after 2nd World War was an essential event resulting in almost complete displacement of the Bohemian border region. People have returned to the mountains due to tourism and a phenomenon of "the summer cottage" at 60th and 70th years of 20th century. Role of General Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing

The bachelor thesis deals with problems of rehabilitation nursing in practice. The main aim of the work was to establish the awareness of general nurses on rehabilitation nursing and whether they co-operated within the scope of a multi-disciplinary team. My Partial Aims were to find out what did general nurses consider to be rehabilitation nursing, whether they rehabilitated with patients and whether the multi-disciplinary team was used in practice. The theoretical part of the thesis aims at summary of information as related to rehabilitation nursing. There is also stated the way of education of general nurses nowadays and statutory stipulations on their work contents. The empiric part used quantitative investigations with the data obtained through an Internet questionnaire. The respondents were the general nurses from the Czech Republic. The results reached clearly indicate that general nurses have sufficient knowledge in the field of rehabilitation nursing and they sufficiently co-operate with other members of the multi- disciplinary team. The knowledge obtained will be published in social networks and there will also be created a plan for better orientation in positioning of patients. Analysis of the Decision-Making Process of the Kennedy Administration During the Second Berlin Crisis in 1961

The second Berlin crisis represents one of the important milestones in the development of the Soviet-American relations during the Cold War. After the World War II, Berlin was divided into four occupation zones. Following the establishment of the two German states, this situation resulted in the city being split into the Western and the Eastern part. At the end of 1958, the Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev threatened the Western powers that he would sign a peace treaty with the German Democratic Republic and hand over the control of access routes to the Western Berlin to the East German officials. The following four-power negotiations failed to find a solution to the Berlin question. After the 1960 presidential election, John F. Kennedy became the president of the United States and thereby inherited the Berlin question from his predecessor. Ergotherapy for pupils in the pracitcal classes

Bachelor Work called Ergotherapy for pupils in the practical classes looks into possibilities of using ergotherapy to the individual's development of social skills through games and handcrafts aktivity in practical classes pupils diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and behavioral and sociocultural disadvantage pupils. The goal of work is to design an ergotherapy program for the pupils of practical classes, and demonstrate meaningfulness of using of ergotherapy for the development of social skills and checking its success through research methods of direct work with pupils and observation. The research results show improvements these pupils in the desired area.
