Headteacher Competences within an Educational Institution

Most kindergartens in the Czech Republic are managed by a headmaster/ headmistress and their deputies (depending on the size of the kindergarten). There are also some kindergartens which fall within the management of a primary, or even a secondary school in the particular municipality, and the function of a headmaster/ headmistress is performed by the primary/ secondary school principal. If that is the case, the kindergarten headteacher position is introduced, who is not a deputy but is in charge of the kindergarten and responsible to the principal. This thesis examines the competencies of a kindergarten headteacher as an educational institution leader. The aim of the thesis is to research kindergarten headteachers' job competencies and job description in South-Bohemia Region (Jihočeský kraj). In the theoretical section, the thesis focuses on a headteacher's position, what professional requirements there are in such a position; what the measure of participation in the organisation management, and the headteacher's approach towards interpersonal relationship in the workplace is. The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of further education of academic staff of universities with social sciences and humanities. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a project proposal for further education in the field of pedagogical and presentation skills for academic staff of selected humanities universities. This output is preceded by 4 steps. The first partial aim is to describe education and professional competencies of university teachers. The second partial aim is to describe the current system and legislation of higher education in the Czech Republic. The third partial aim is to identify opportunities in the field of further education of university academics. The fourth partial aim is to analyze the needs of academic staff in the field of further education. The thesis focuses on the award of the HR Excellence in Research Award certificate as an international standard for quality rules in the management and development of human resources in science and research at selected universities. This is an award given by the European Commission for excellence in the management of human resources in a scientific environment and is the result of the successful implementation of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers. For researchers, the HR Award guarantees European standards of care for staff, openness and transparency in the selection procedures for positions, and quality of the working or academic environment. The European Commission's aim with the HR award is to introduce the concept of strategic human resources management, the application of modern HR practices in the research environment and the consistent adherence to modern principles of human resources development in research. The diploma thesis analyzes the current problems associated with further education of pedagogical staff in the capital city of Prague. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts, characterizes the current system of education, new trends in further education of teachers and provides an overview of further education in some EU countries. The practical part evaluates the results of a research survey, which includes the analysis and comparison of data obtained from structured interviews, questionnaires and annual reports of schools. Problems in further education of pedagogical staff, its quality, method of implementation and factors that affect it are, among other things, assessed with regard to the specific needs of teachers for working with pupils with special educational difficulties. System of employee development in selected organisation

The thesis dealing with the topic "System of employee development in selected organisation" focuses on the educational system of a company operating in the automotive industry. It is a medium-sized company with about 150 employees. The company has chosen a competency model as a training strategy to achieve its training goals, i.e. the company has developed a competency matrix that shows which competencies are necessary for the performance of each job position. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and describe the educational strategy of the company under study, to identify problem areas and to suggest possible improvements. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part, based on the study of the literature, and an empirical part, dealing with the investigation of the actual state of the functioning of the training system in the company by means of document analysis and structured interview with the HR manager. Issues of effectiveness and relevance of evaluation in the environment of educational organization

The aim of the final bachelor's thesis is to describe the approaches in employee appraisal and to consider its relevance and effectiveness on the basis of these sources. The research part of the thesis includes a questionnaire survey which focuses on examining the form of teaching staff appraisal, its effectiveness and relevance. The aim of the investigation is to quantitatively analyse the approaches to staff appraisal in different educational organisations and to map its impact on staff. The thesis examines whether it is even possible and appropriate to evaluate staff performance in an educational organisation setting and to take steps to improve effectiveness based on this evaluation. Effective appraisal aims at implementing measures that promote and maintain satisfactory job performance and prevent poor performance. It enables the organization to set up an internal system of employee training, or to identify the need for external training, and process improvement, to decide on the relevance of employee pay and job classification. Appraisal allows to detect the potential of employees to be promoted to a position where they can better use their competences and motivate them with career advancement. This thesis entitled "Attitudes and views of nurses on practice education in a healthcare organization" deals with the issue of nurse education in practice. The aim of this thesis is to provide theoretical information not only in the area of following professional nurse education but also to provide insights and opinions on this area from nurses within the healthcare organization. The thesis is devided into two main parts. The introduction of the thesis begins with the topic of nursing and mentions the fundamental principles for nurse education. The first part is theoretical and discusses the issue of education in the context of healthcare organisations. Furthermore the importance of knowledge and professional status of a nurse is mentioned in this part along with her competencies. Subsequently, the education of staff in health care organisations is also mentioned in this section and considerable space is given to lifelong learning.
