Problems of children burials in prehistory of Bohemia and Moravia

This diploma thesis deals with children remains in archeological cultures of the Bronze Age at the area of Czech Republic. 1318 findings have been gathered and put into a database together with all available details. Special attention has been set upon multiple child burials, deposition of child remains into settlement pits, presence of charities and individuals with exceptionally rich funerary goods. Individual chapter has been dedicated to phenomena connected with children in the Bronze Age such as burial of unburned bodies in jars, anthropophagy and human sacrifices. The thesis is complemented by comparison with findings of child remains from the Neolithic and the Eneolithic (which the author analysed in her bachelor thesis).
Burial grounds at Stodůlky, Butovice and Jinonice and their statement about thought and customs of the Únětice culture communities in the microregion of Prague 5

Anylysis of two primeral burial grounds of Old - Únětice culture and Young - Únětice culture in Prag region shows one part of the human history. This study is based on general knowledges about burial rituals of people of Únětice culture. In comparison with another burial grounds in Dolné Počernice and Polepy near Kolín it is confirmed specifity or uniformity of these burial rituals.
The copper ore bed at Mutěnín in Western Bohemia and the question of its exploitation in the prehistory

The present bachelor thesis aims to clarify the question of possible use of copper mines in Mutěnín in Western Bohemia in prehistoric times, especially since the Bronze Age settlement in the region. Authors engaged in the prehistoric settleents in the West Bohemia, refer to the isme from 60 years of the 20th century. The identification of prehistoric relicts mines activites in the Czech Republic is very difficult, because most were destroyed in the extraction of modern times. For research purposes, there are only very limited ways. One of them is the study of archival materials on historical production, which, although to look far into the Middle Ages - in our case, only the 16th century. However, thanks to them we get information on the shape mines in the past. The only relatively effective form of archeological research in the surveyed area is the surface collection, which was carried out this work. For knowledge of prehistoric settlement in the vicinity of copper mines, we needto focus on the wider area. For purposes of this work was created an area of 15 km around the site. Bronze Age Settlement in Vinoř-V Žabokřiku

This study describes results of analysis of findings obtained during the excavation of Knovíz settlement in Praha - Vinoř "V Žabokřiku". One whole above-ground structure was found and few more can be presumed besides the features. The residential area could be separated from the storege area. Great amount of pottery, loom weights, daub, stone industry and individual animal bones was found mostly in bigger features. This settlement represents Knovíz culture in Late Bronze Age (phases Br D - Ha A1) according to the pottery products' analysis. There is no evidence of other cultures. In the site there were breeded domestic animals, we can presume growing and proccessing corn, also textile production. There is no evidence of bronze itams pruduction. The subject of this thesis is processing archeological locality Hoštice-Sečné louky 4 and Mořice-Pololány 1. Take up with archeological findings, their analysis, determination, primary interpretation and contextualization to the chronological period. The work includes an assessment of correlate settlement and burial ground of uneticer culture, and interpretation settlement burials.
Sunken huts from Dolní Břežany, Za pivovarem, in the context of Hallstatt-La Tene settlements South of Prague

The subject of this bachelor thesis are five, respectively six sunken huts from the Hallstatt- La Tène period from the archeological site Dolní Břežany - Za pivovarem. The focus is on the catalog of sunken huts with their thorough description and chapter about the settlement context, mapping archeological sites from Halltatt and La Tène period in the wider vicinity of the site. Next the thesis follows construction and shape evolution of sunken huts of Hallstatt and La Tène period, categorize them into published sorting systems and attempts to analyze and interpret construction relics. The Late Bronze Age settlement at Čakovice, Central Bohemia

First section of the thesis concentrates on description of the archeological research in Cukerní Street in the municipality Praha-Čakovice, that took place in 2016, and situates it into the context of archeological research of the settlement from late Bronze Age in the municipality, and into the wider frame of said era in central Bohemia. Second section of the thesis composes of comparation of the features and finds from this research with the results of the archeological research of the same period in Prague and around, primarily in the municipalities Kněževes, Roztoky u Prahy and Praha-Modřany. All mentioned localities are situated in comparable distance from the historical centre of Prague, where most of the prehistoric situations were destroyed by the mediaeval and modern intrusions, which makes the said sites the selected samples of wider settlement of Prague and its surroundings in the period in question. The goal set is to extend the knowledge of the late bronze settlements in the Prague / central Bohemia region based on the new finds.
The Lusatian Urnfields culture in the Ostroměř region, Eastern Bohemia

This bachelor thesis deals with the settlement of the Ostroměř region in Eastern Bohemia in the Late Bronze Age and the Final Bronze Age. It maps the findings of the Lusatian and Silesian periods of the Lusatian Urnfields culture in the defined area, analyses the development of its settlement in individual phases of the Lusatian and Silesian culture and tries to solve the question of the central role of the cemetry in Ostroměř. The example of a specific locality of the Late Bronze Age in the region is the second part of this work, in which is processed settlement of the Lusatian culture from Holovousy. Júlia Demeková Abstract This bachelor's thesis deals with a topic of diagnostic and therapy of a lumbar disc herniation. A brief description of anatomy and biomechanics of lumbar spine and intervertebral disc is provided in the theoretical findings outline. Also differential diagnostic and therapy options of this disease are clarified there. The aim of the thesis is to confirm the effectiveness of conservative treatment in terms of physiotherapy intervention, and to compare the effectiveness of two methods - McKenzie (MDT) and Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS). Sixteen patients treated by MDT and four others treated by DNS participated in the experimental part of my thesis. I created a questionnaire in order to obtain data from the patients, in which they filled in intensity of pain on the numerical scale of pain (0-10) at that moment. They also completed the Czech version of the Roland-Morris disability questionnaire, which evaluated their degree of disability at the same time.
