Title: Testing speed and coordination skills in the military environment: a systematic review Objective: Based on a literature search, find out which tests of speed and coordination skills are used in foreign armies. Methods: The presented work is done in the form of a systematic review. Web of Science, Scopus and PubMed databases were selected for searching articles. The search was performed using two search scripts, the first focused on speed and the second on coordination skills. 439 and 297 studies were retrieved from the search scripts and unsystematic searches. These studies were subsequently screened and removed according to the systematic search procedure. After final removal, 33 studies remained for speed and 23 for coordination. Results: The highest representation was found in tests focused on a combination of speed and coordination skills, especially agility tests. Of these, the most used tests are the Illinois Agility Test, the Pro-Agility Test, the 3x5 m shuttle run and the 15 m slalom. The second most represented group is the speed tests, which focus on sprints over various distances. There are 8 different tests in total, with the 20, 30 and 15 m sprints being the most represented. The fewest tests focused on coordination skills. Keywords: army, military, soldiers, cadets, recruits,...

Boháček, Daniel ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of vibration analysis in electric rotating machines. From the beginning, it is necessary to explain the basic concepts and introduce the issue of vibration. Next time, the work is focused on sources of vibration in electrical machines. Defects on electric rotating machines causing vibrations are described. Sensing is performed using sensors of deflection, speed and acceleration. The measured signal needs to be adjusted and filters, approximations and sampling will cover this in the next chapter. The main objective is the methods of analysis, which include the best known in the field of frequency analysis (FFT) and the envelope method in the time domain. This includes other methods such as Kurtosis factor, Crest factor, etc. There is also a basic block diagram for measuring vibrations. This block diagram is programmed and has a graphical user interface. The last part is an evaluation of the measured data of the engines.

Title: The effect of a short-term intervention program for development of sprint abilities in young soccer players (U15) Autor: Tomá Chaloupka Head of work: Mgr. Jakub Kok tejn, Ph.D. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to verify the effectiveness of a short-term intervention program for sprint speed development in young soccer players (U15). Methods: The research sample included soccer players (15 year old; n=12; 14,2±0,3 years) from the highest competitive level in the Czech Republic. For the interventional effect verification we used several sprint tests (sprint on 5, 10 and 30 meters, shuttle sprint 2x10 meters). Data analysis was performed by using IBM SPSS software version 22. Results: In the experimental group we did not found any significant improvement in the posttest in any individual tests after completion of the short-term speed-oriented intervention. Based on our results we note that we have failed to verify the effectiveness of the short-term intervention program for the sprint development in the young soccer players. Keywords: movement intervention, young, soccer, speed

The Correlation between the Speed of the Source Speech and Simultaneous Interpreter's Performance.
Moravcová, Dagmar ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor) ; Sládková, Miroslava (referee)
The purpose of the present thesis is to look into the correlation between the speed of the source speech and simultaneous interpreter's performance between Czech and French from the perspective of the French listeners of the source speeches in French, of two groups of interpreters (students and professionals) and of the listeners of the speeches interpreted into Czech. The thesis consists of the theoretical and the empirical part. The theoretical part outlines Daniel Gile's Effort Model and than focuses on the delivery rate of the source speech and on various theoretical approaches of different scholars, on the errors occured in the process of simultaneous interpreting, on intrepretation strategies and on the quality of interpretation. The empirical part describes the research method, the experiment itself and the results of the experiment which focuses both on the number of occurences of different interpretation stategies in relation to the source speech delivery rate and on the number of occurences of various error categories depending on the speed of the quasi-authentic source speeches. The empirical part examines the differences between the performance of the students and of the interpreters. Their performance is then assessed by the Czech listeners. Keywords simultaneous interpretation,...

Title: Speed training in strength and conditioning preparation of youth basketball players Aims: The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the effectivity of the training program designed to focus on development of speed abilities in category under fourteen years basketball players. Secondary aims are determination of relationship between practice attendances, number of games played, changes of body height, body weight and body composition of the players on their acceleration, maximal speed and agility tests performance. Methods: For this thesis was used experimental method, which concentrated on observation of speed development in two groups of players, each with different conditions defined by training content. We used measuring, testing and interviewing for data gathering purposes. To assess the relationship between all parameters and their explanation we apply analytic and comparative methods. For evaluation of relationships was used Pearson's correlation and p-value for determination of statistical significance. Results: The main hypothesis, presuming relationship between anticipation in our training program and improvement of speed abilities, wasn't confirmed by our calculations. The results were calculated for following tests: 20 m sprint (r = -0.12, p = 0.69, n = 14), flying 15 m run...
