Comparison of selected two competing television stations broadcasting from the 21st century, according to content focus and structure audience

The aim of the thesis is the comparison of two selected private television channels TV Barrandov and Prima Cool primarily according to content focus and audience structure and secondarily from the point of view of media discourse and speech acts. In the first theoretical part I define fundamental concepts such as television, digitization, audience, program schedule, target group, television viewership, media discourse and speech act. Further I characterize both television channels, define their program schedule, audience and present the results of rating. In the second practical part I use to compare program schedule a method of quantitative content analysis, which aims to compare the programming schedule of both television channels, define the differences in the structure of the program and answer research questions, which stands at its beginning. To comparison audience I use the questionnaire method. At the beginning of the method is determined by research sample and subsequently the method is applied. Results of the survey will allow an extensive description of the audiences of both television channels, determine which channel is more attractive and confirm if the results of the questionnaire method correspond with publicly available results of audience or are diametrical difference. The bachelor thesis Comparison of worldchampionship broadcasting on Czech Television from Ice Hockey World Championship 2004 and 2015 analysis the circumstances of the formation and the progress made by the mentioned television. The thesis is separated into two chapters. The goal of the first chapter is to define terms as sport media, televisual broadcast, broadcasting rights and sports journalism in its historical circumstances. The theory is describing the history of the Czech Television and its role in present society. The next part of these thesis is the chapter of the Czech Television sport channel, which describes its origin and the present condition. The theory is ended by the chapter of history of the championship broadcast, shortly describing the way of medial processing previous home ice hockey championships. The practical part of these thesis is formed as a qualitative analysis trying to ask the questions how and why the project World championship broadcast was created and what competences and responsibilities were rested in. Development of media coverage biathlon in Czech television at 2010-2014

Title: Development of media coverage biathlon in Czech television at 2010-2014 Objectives: The main objective of this work is a detailed analysis of the evolution of media coverage of biathlon on Czech Television, concretely on the ČT sport channel between 2010 and 2014. Another objective is to analyze the viewership of biathlon programs broadcasted on Czech Television. Methods: A quantitative content analysis will be used in this study, through which it will determine how much time was devoted to various biathlon programs in different years and months. An electronic TV program of Czech Television will be analyzed. Results: The analysis shows that the space devoted to biathlon on Czech Television increases during this period of time. The largest increase of broadcast time was noted between 2011 and 2013. The most influential events in this broadcast time were major events such as World Championships and Olympics. The thesis has a goal to investigate the audience of reality shows available on Czech broadcasting market. Different types of shows will be analysed using selected parameters through the quantitative analysis. We will look for the similar and different parameters of audiences. The thesis is mostly focused on the show Hotel Paradise and its qualitative analysis.
Television singing competitions as a contemporary phenomenon

The concept of TV's singing talent shows of the past decade has varied from the concept we were used to seeing in the last decade of the 20th century. It is a new approach where the audience is drawn into the contest by participating in decision- making of who goes through to the next round and who will ultimately win. The goal of this thesis is to prove (or disprove) my assumption that these talent shows are a contemporary phenomenon. I will attempt to define the most popular shows, describe their inner workings, look for the common features and compare their concepts. Verify the use of TV as an interactive media with an option to vote via a person's mobile phone to improve the ratings. To compare these shows with those from the second half of the 20th century. Reasons why people like to watch these TV singing talent shows and what target audience are these shows appealing to.

Předmětem práce je popsat proměnu, kterou hlavní zpravodajská relace České televize Události prošla po nástupu nového vedení generálního ředitele Petra Dvořáka. Text se bude soustředit na popsání změn z hlediska obsahu i formy. Zaměří se na také na používání jednotlivých žurnalistických žánrů, které je možné v televizním zpravodajství uplatnit. Cílem je nabídnout komplexní pohled na Události, zasadit je do kontextu českého mediálního prostředí a zároveň porovnat jejich podobu se zahraničními zpravodajskými relacemi. Práce má poukázat na trendy, které určují světové zpravodajské špičky a které mají potenciál obohatit české televizní zpravodajství. Závěr bude věnován srovnání staré a nové relace Události a vyhodnocení, zda byla její proměna úspěšná. K tomu poslouží data o postupném vývoji sledovanosti a ohlasy z řad odborné veřejnosti na novou podobu pořadu.
Minuta z přírody - Analyze of the TV Programme

This Bachelor's Thesis is focused on the TV show "Minuta z přírody". The show is analysed from different points of view, such as the study of the show's semantics and synthetics with the focus on its genre, inclusion of the show in the TV program, its ratings and the authors' intentions. Consequently, the practical part is divided into several parts. First of all, in the thesis the TV show is presented according to the genre, theory of narrative, ratings and its position among other shows. Further, the main focus is on the quality of sound, music, scene and the spoken word. Another part examines the show's division into episodes and the following one searches for possible analogues among them. The general outcome of the research is acquired by two methods, unstandardized interview and semiotic analysis of the text.

"The Comparison of the European Football Championship broadcastings on Czech television and Prima TV" bachelor thesis entertains the qualitative and quantitative differences in European Football Championship broadcast on Czech Television and The Comparison of the European Football Championship broadcastings on Czech television and Prima TV. Up until the year 2004, including, European Football Championship has always been broadcast by Czechoslovak or Czech television. For Euro 2008, however the broadcasting rights were acquired by The Comparison of the European Football Championship broadcastings on Czech television and Prima TV. The thesis is aimed at differences in the approach to broadcasting between The Comparison of the European Football Championship broadcastings on Czech television and Prima TV and its predecessor.
