Inscriptions on mural and board paintings in Czech Gothic art of the 14th century

This bachelor's thesis deals with inscriptions on mural and board paintings in Czech Gothic art of the 14th century. The selection of the artworks that meet the set criteria was treated in a form of comparison from different point of views. As a result a set of three separate typological units has been created. Transcriptions and translations of all the inscriptions used in forming the typologies are a part of the work presented.

Pilařová, A.: Photographic paraphrase of classic artwork. [Bachelor's thesis] Prague 2014 - Charles University in Prague, faculty of education, department of art, 63 p. (Attachments: 8 copyright photos, CD). I tried to define the name "paraphrase" through analysis of answers from question-form and specialized publications in my bachelor's thesis. I charted basic acts of paraphrases in artistic field. I focused at these acts in fine art and photography. My collection of photographs is completed with descriptions of each photo and their alternatives. Didactic part is based on four exercises with classical artworks in which pupils of Elementary Art School work with drawing, painting and photographic game.
Origins of art and principles found in the form of art

(ABSTRACT) Bachelor thesis is an approach to origins of art in the Paleolithic period, indicating in direct relation to the formation of stony artefacts. It emphasizes the fundamental aspects of the creative utilization of preconceptions and form Association, which explores and demonstrates using examples of artifacts created in South Moravia in the middle phase of the Upper Paleolithic. Their meaning is also in the speeches and concepts of modern art, by means of them finds a possibility to use in teaching art education. Native Culture and Art of the Northwest Coast and the Impact of Tourism on Their Revitalization

This paper is about cultural area of the American Northwest Coast and especially about Salish art. The subject of this paper is mainly a theoretical analysis of the most important artistic artifacts. Particular attention is paid to developmental transformations of traditional artifacts and their function in modern society. The goal is to capture the importance of artistic traditions of American Indians, especially the Salish group, in the context of the current revitalization movement. Major emphasis is placed on the impact of tourism on revitalization of Salish culture and art and on the role of native artistic artifacts in the commercial use of historical and cultural heritage of the area. The paper examines the influence of art and as well tourism on the perception of identity of indigenous people.
Reflection of Sexuality in Toyen's Work From the Perspective of Art Criticism

Toyen and sexuality is a frequent topic of art history texts written about the artist in the last twenty years. Toyen provoked with her erotic drawings and illustrations, her appearance and mysteriousness shrouded around her. Where did the roots of her desire, depicted in her work, came from? What was the role played by contemporary context? How her contemporaries wrote about sexuality? Were there any interpretations of the artist's work based on the known information about her person or personality? What was the Toyen's position as a woman? The empirical part of my thesis is based on research, where I try to seek for answers to the questions found in the texts published in Czechoslovakia. The research is bounded by years 1922-1947. Years when Toyen entered respectively left the Czech art scene. Her work has therefore been interpreted by persons who lived in the same cultural context, some of them were actually her personal acquaintances. I will also try to answer the question whether the contemporary texts differ from the texts written after 1989, eventually how. Within the examining the reflection of sexuality in the work of Toyen I will also ask myself whether the perspectives of view are different in the eyes of men and women. Supervisor PhDr. Jan Šmíd, Ph.D., 232 pages.(Appendices: 3 plastic objects) In my diploma paper, I attempted to map the origins and evolution of graffiti and street art. Their possible starting point, sources of inspiration and connection to art throughout history and the present day. I have also mentioned the overlapping into and use in advertising, contemporary art and design. I have briefly dealt with the socio-cultural influence and its connection to this form of art. In the theoretical part of my paper, I devoted my attention to new trends in graffiti and street art. In the didactic part, I used specific ecological trends to create art series. Through this I linked art and environmental education and verified that students in the specific group are interested in incorporating this topic into their curriculum. A part of the is a research survey which shows the opinions and principally confirmed the interest of students in the specific group in this topic.
