Influence of flow on feelings, behavior and experience

Author of the thesis is describing the possibilities of using games and flow for self- knowledge. A theoretical analysis defines social game and describes possible goals of the game, that could be aimed by it. The paper shows that the game is an important means also for adults. Author introduces the method of experiential learning that systematically works with the game and presents ways to use it as a therapy. The paper describes dimensions of flow phenomenon, which characterize it. The similarities between flow and play are shown and the possibilities for its use in psychology are indicated. The chapter self- knowledge acquaints reader with this concept and with ways of self-knowledge. The second part of the thesis presents empirical research. Interviews with participants of the experiment are the basis for qualitative analysis and interpretation. The aim of the research is to determine if the experience of the game and flow leads to self-knowledge. The results shows that play brings a lot of interesting impuls to self-awareness. Psychological experience infertility and assisted reproduction in terms of infertile individuals

The aim of this dissertation was to find out how does a woman experience infertility and how do women experience the process of assisted reproduction, comunication with the personel in the centres of reproductive medicine, relationships with their surroundings, family and friends. This dissertation answers three main questions: How does a person experiences asisted reproduction? What kind of copying strategies they use to overcome the stress connected with assisted reproduction? How does an individual experience approach and communication skills of the personel of a centres of reproductive medicine. According to chosen topic of experiencing infertility I have chosen a qualitative research method in the form of case study. Basic strategy for sample selection was purposive (judgemental) sampling through centre of reproductive medicine. I have chosen grounded theory method for the data analysis. Standardized interview was made with every participant. Findings of this qualitative research brings the understanding to person experiencing infertility. Those findings will contribute to more empathy understanding to patiens and their partners during hard time in their life from health care profesionals working in centrs of reproductive medicine. Experiencing of schizophrenia and staying at department of psychiatry

This bachelor thesis deals with a subjective experiencing of four respondents at acute stage of paranoid schizophrenia and their satisfaction with a treatment and content of time during hospitalization at one of the departments of psychiatry in the Bohnice hospital. It was found out that patients were most satisfied with a care of department's staff. However, a moderate criticism of different departments appeared as well. It was especially criticism of departments with restricted access. As far as experiencing the acute stage of the disorder is concerned, various existential problems, fears, chaotic and odd thinking as well as problems concerning relationships with close people appeared to be related to the disorder itself. The contribution of the thesis is that it points out a possibility of better integration of patients into a cooperation during the treatment through their own understanding of their disease and understanding of their experience. How artists understand and experience their own artistic creation

This bachelor thesis examines the unique life of fine artists. This work aims to understand how fine artists understand and experience their artistic creation. The thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is devoted to art and artistic creation in the context of psychology, the emphasis is placed on selected fundamental psychological approaches. The empirical part examines how artists understand and experience their artistic creation based on the realisation and processing of in-depth semi-structured interviews with three fine artists aged 51, 35 and 41 years. The psychological qualitative approach - interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) was chosen to understand the unique lived experience of the examined fine artists. The results of the analysis and interpretation of interviews are 3 portraits, which depict the perspective of the examined artists, their unique lived experience and subjectively significant mainstays of their life and artistic creation. The other results are 4 main themes that capture the relation between the experiences of individual respondents, map the most important topics and reveal the essence of the examined phenomenon. This diploma thesis is dealing with the methods teachers and school psychologist may use to approach their pupils who have been affected by the death of their relative, particularly a family member. The theoretical part of the thesis is focusing on the existing research in the area of mourning of school-age children and pays special attention to the risks connected with insensitive approach of teachers in this matter. The thesis tries to introduce some principles of the teacher's sensitive approach during the lessons, while paying extra attention to the personal and moral development of the individual in the area of their perception of surroundings, specifically during Civic Education and Health Education. The next topic in the theoretical part is the cognitive development of pupils and their view on the death itself in general, as it is a part of life that we have to somehow prepare for and thus need to have some kind of knowledge about the difficulties that come with death. Place Where We Live

This master thesis deals with the topic of the natural place and the place which is changed by people's activity. It deals with topic of genius loci, problems of loss of the place and our relationship to place where we live. In more detail it is focused on the city and its peripherals. It offers a short wiew to the history of cities and their periphery, architecture and urban planning. The thesis also deals with fine arts associated with the urban environment - artists, for which the city was and is an inspiration and a theme and with the role of art in public spaces. Research part of the thesis is aimed at children's perception of the place where we live. Through qualitative research methods I am trying to find out what is the meaning of the word "home" for todays children, how they percieve their close surroundings and what is the development of their thinking. The didact part of the thesis offers collection of art assigments for children with topic of the city that should increase children's perception of the urban environment. Some of them are inspirated by psychological geography which is based on the human perception of the environment and its reflection in our consciousness. Resilience in Older age: Interpretative fenomenological analysis

The aim of this work was to capture and understand the unique life experience of experiencing old age in resilient population and to identify the phenomena significant in this experience. The theoretical part consists of explanation of concepts of resilience and old age. For the practical part, we have decided for qualitative research. The research sample consists of three resilient individuals aged 82 to 90, selected by the employees of a care centre for elderly according to their personal experience. We gathered the data for the research using semi-structured interviews, which we analyzed by using interpretative phenomenological analysis method. The results are presented from two perspectives. The first is the analysis of the experience of individual resilient seniors, the second represents the perspective of themes that are important in the experience of resilience and are mutual to all our respondents. Themes are following - activity, routine vs. openness to experience, internal locus of control, flexibility, relationships and affiliations, humor and realistic optimism with hope. Reflection of changes in experiencing by adolescent boys

The diploma thesis deals with adolescent boys. The aim is to extend knowledge about boys in the context of our society and time. Specifically to find out how boys experience their adolescence and changes relating to it. The emphasis is on psychosocial changes and identity issues in adolescence. The thesis also focuses on how and with whom they talk about these changes. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the basic knowledge about adolescence that respects the bio-psycho-social model of personality. The next chapter is devoted to identity and influential theories related to it. The last chapter discusses current issues related to boy's adolescence, the risk behavior associated with substance use, and new technologies and their impact on the life of adolescents. Empirical part introduces methodology of research, which is based on a qualitative analysis of semi-structured interview and Unfinished sentences with boys aged of 14-16. Processing the interviews and sentences was done using the grounded theory method. Research data is then analyzed and interpreted. Boys understand their adolescence as a flow.
