This bachelor’s thesis deals with issue of measurement of chosen physical quantities using a remote controlled mobile monitoring device. It provides information on selected sensors usable for this application. Aim is to analyze possible ways of realization of such device including options of locomotion system and wireless transfer of sensory data.

Mobile robot detection using image processing

This master´s thesis deals with processing of image sequence taken by statically placed camera over plane of robot movement. At first there are methods for image segmentation and localization methods described. In the next part, selected methods are implemented and compared to individual images. In the final part, selected methods are further implemented in algorithm for batch processing of image sequence.

Healing Aboriginal Women - Emerging and Changing Culture of Indigenous Australians.

This is a study of how an Aboriginal women's community organisation engages in revitalisation of traditional Australian Indigenous culture in urban context. I will address the principles of a women's Indigenous Family Care Centre, Kummara, in Brisbane (Queensland) where I volunteered, and conducted an ethnographic research. Kummara is based on family care, strengthening of women's business, and reconnecting Aboriginal women to their cultural role. The organisation addresses the consequences of the Stolen generations which was a forcible separation of Aboriginal children from their families, their re-education and Christianisation for the duration of 50 years (1910-1969) of Australian history. My thesis is that Aboriginal women practicing family care and women's spirituality in Kummara contribute to revitalisation of traditional Indigenous culture. This occurs mainly in education of children and young people (implementing rites of passage and parental programs), and in reconnecting to the traditional role of women in family, community and in spiritual life. In the Aboriginal context of health, the women in Kummara engage in a process of cultural, spiritual and emotional healing. Information as an economic good. Value of information and its role in the financial market

Diplomová práce popisuje roli a hodnotu informací na finančních a kapitálových trzích. Vychází z toho, že z informacemi a nabytými znalostmi by mělo být zacházeno jako s aktivy. Práce popisuje, jak je s těmito aktivy nakládáno, jakým procesem procházejí a jaké subjekty na na trhu s investičními informacemi vystupují. Z teoretického hlediska jsou v práci popisovány vztahy mezi informační ekonomikou a finančními trhy. Práce je zaměřena jednak na internetové prostředí a jednak je popisována z pohledu individuálního investora. Úvaha, zda v této oblasti informační ekonomiky nalezne své místo informační pracovník, celou práci uzavírá.
