Žochová, Kateřina ; Chrz, Vladimír (advisor) ; Krejčí, Josef (referee)
The thesis deals with the experience of psychotherapists with the midlife crisis in their clients. The theoretical part deals with the midlife crisis and selected psychotherapeutic approaches. The empirical part is based on qualitative research and is realized by the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA). The research included three semi-structured interviews with psychotherapists who differ in theoretical orientation, namely Gestalt, SUR, and Pesso Boyden. The aim of the research was to understand the specific experiences of psychotherapists with the midlife crisis and whether their perception of these experiences corresponds to the psychotherapeutic approach. Elements from the narrative approach in the research were used in the data analysis. The results are summarized in a discussion, where they are also processed together with theoretical concepts and selected research. Based on this research, it was found that all three psychotherapists agree that there are increased changes between the ages of 40 and 50, which can result in some of the symptoms often referred to as midlife crisis, but in explaining the nature of the problems are significantly different. To some extent, we can say that their perception of the concept of the midlife crisis is influenced by the chosen...

Onder, Jakub ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Chrz, Vladimír (referee)
In this paper I will be mapping so-called intentional profile of juvenile delinquents. This is way of their perception and experience of surrounding world, how they apply significance and how they think about it. Part of this profile is idea of role and participation within the frame of this world. Next goal of this research is explanation of delinquent behavior as part of intentional profile. Research took place in youth detention center. It consisted of narrative and discourse analysis of four fifty minute long autobiographic interviews with four boys sixteen or seventeen years old with delinquent past. In interviews was emphasized independent selection of subject by respondents themselves. Result of analysis was formation of so-called theory of egocentrism. This theory has been compared with other theories and research and embodied in context of social sciences in second part of this paper. Egocentrism is compared with splitting defense mechanism according to M. Klein. In conclusion of this paper were formulated psychotherapeutic recommendations for employees of youth detention centers for work with juvenile delinquents based on findings of performed research.

Bartošková, Magda ; Chrz, Vladimír (advisor) ; Klusák, Miroslav (referee)
In this paper I will be mapping an inner world of thought and experience lived by individuals suffering from depression. Based on differently experienced narratives I will try to reveal common features, which could help with better understanding "depressive mode of life experience". Research took place in Prague Psychiatric Centre. It consisted of narrative analysis of four 90 minute long autobiogaphic interviews. Four respondents were of both sexes and 17 - 59 years old. In these interviews was emphasized formation of structure in their life narrative. The result of this analysis was formlation of theory of Depressive mode of organizing the experience. This theory is expanded with mode of escape mechanism describing tightening of depletion of external purpose loop and causal mechanism of reluctance to pursue introspection, which leads to deficit of authorship and need for understanding and acting other, who would compensate described deficit. These models have been compared with other theories and research of C. G. Jung and Erich Fromm. Ideas of both authors complete each other and expand findings of this research.

Blues from the Inside: Analysis of the Experience of Blues Musicians
Lazar, Jan ; Chrz, Vladimír (advisor) ; Onder, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine, how the blues is experienced and percepted by people, who produce it. There are two kinds of research data: extensive and intensive. In the extensive part of the research a large group of musicians producing blues and blues listeners were questioned in a survey. In the following intensive phase of the research a part of respondents wrote a text on the topic: "What does the blues mean to me". Through qualitative approach, I analysed 16 texts with the goal to present the phenomenological description capturing the both variability and recurring patterns of how the examined musicians experience the blues. This phenomenological description ("blues from the inside") will be confronted with various theoretic conceptions. Central conception of this work is the framework of analytical psychology, especially unitary reality by E. Neumann and transcendence function by C. G. Jung.
