Measurement of greenhouse gas concentrations
Dohnal, Jan ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This semester thesis deals with the greenhouse effect, various gases and methods of measurement. On the greenhouse effect is viewed from its historical dating, despite changes in atmospheric composition and reactions of individual institutions. It contains a theoretical analysis of the individual gases. It focuses on the most harmful greenhouse gases such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, ozone, chlorofluorocarbons and halons. Analysis methods for detection of gaseous substances. Part of this work is focus on the detection of nitrogen dioxide and chloro-fluorocarbon. The data is processed using a microcontroller and then sent to an Internet server thingspeak.com. If the device proves successful, will be used as a laboratory exercise in the course Ecology in electronics.
Modeling of Inertial Sensors
Trličík, Jakub ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis deals with measurement and modeling of MEMS inertial sensors. This paper describes basic principles of inertial sensors along with their most often errors. The next part shows results from inertial sensor market analysis, which enabling a selection of sensors to be measured. The following two chapters present methods for inertial sensor modeling and testing. The biggest part of text is dedicated to presentation of measurement results showing us static measurement of Allan variance, Earth rotation, temperature dependent bias and dynamic measurement of gyroscope sensitivity testing over temperature. In the last part of the thesis is presented a design of sensor error model by autocorrelation function and Allan variance and also an evaluation of achieved results.

Between the Landscape and the City
Šellongová, Slavka ; Svojanovský, Viktor (referee) ; Žalmanová, Petra (advisor)
The task of the work was to propose an entrance area for the premises of the Faculty of Science, University of Palacký University Olomouc. I design my object with the intention of not separating the site from the rest of the area but creating space that is attractive to discover. Inspiration for the shape and form of the object is the earth's floe, which breaks and rises from the surface, which brings gradation of the volume from the country to the city. By sloping the edges, the composition has its dynamism and creates square spaces in front of the main entrance and the square to which the mass is gradually being considered, it retains connection with an existing area park.
Geological and gravimetric pattern of the Ethiopia
Kuznetsova, Alevtina ; Valenta, Jan (advisor) ; Martínek, Karel (referee)
From a geological point of view, Ethiopia is a unique country where active tectonics displays can be studied, in the context of extensive East African Rift System (EARS) evolution, where the Main Ethiopian Rift (MER) is a part. The Main Ethiopian Rift (MER) is typical continental rift structure spread between the African, Somali, and Arabian lithospheric plates stretching over 6,000 kilometres from Syria to central Mozambique. This study of the gravity pattern in Ethiopia reveals significant crustal thinning in the Main Ethiopian Rift and Northern Afar regions. In the southern Afar, the earth's crust has a slightly higher thickness and, moreover, probably contains a significant proportion of the continental crust. The understanding of crustal thinning in the context of active rifting is essential to predict future geodynamic events in that region, which is crucial for the sustainable life of a rapidly expanding population and the necessary construction of infrastructure. This work provides an analysis and re-interpretation of archival gravity data collected from land surface surveys and airborne gravity studies (archive of Geological Survey of Ethiopia) in conjunction with available geological and structural data to evaluate overall gravimetric pattern of Ethiopia and determine main geological...

Reader-oriented Activities of Selected Libraries in the Czech Republic
PAVLÍČKOVÁ, Kristýna
The thesis deals with reader-oriented activities of selected libraries in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes the functions of libraries and system of Czech libraries. Selected chapters comprehend the history of libraries and librarianship. The following chapters describe factors influencing reader's approach to reading, forms of librarian's work with the reader and reading projects and events. It presents selected libraries in the Czech Republic - National Library of the Czech republic in Prague, Moravian Library in Brno and The Research Library of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. In the practical part it describes the cultural and educational activities offered by libraries both for their registered and unregistered readers, and readers supporting activities they participace in. It is based on interviews with readers and analysis of the annual reports of libraries in 2018.
The process of the establishment of national Lithuanian historiography in the 19th century
Čeladín, Jindřich ; Švec, Luboš (advisor) ; Vykoukal, Jiří (referee) ; Šeferis, Vaidas (referee)
The Process of Constituting National Lithuanian Historiography in the 19th Century Until the 19th century, Lithuanian historiography was understood as provincial, the national identity of Lithuanians had not been defined yet, and the formation of the modern Lithuanian nation had practically not begun yet. Lithuanian national culture, influenced by the dominant Polish culture, had to gradually develop in the 19th century. The first Lithuanian-written national history was written by Simonas Daukantas. The main work "Būdas senovės lietuvių, kalnėnų ir žemaičių" was published under a pseudonym in St. Petersburg only in 1845. Daukantas can be considered the founder of modern Lithuanian historiography in the national sense. As Vilnius University was closed after the defeat of the uprising in 1832, the center of higher education of Lithuanians moved to Russian universities. One of this next generation of intellectuals was the main thinker of the Lithuanian national revival, Jonas Basanavičius, who in 1883 became the founder of the first Lithuanian enlightenment magazine Aušra. The debate on the meaning of Lithuanian history and its exclusion from Polish historiography took place at the end of the 19th century more on a journalistic level. In my dissertation, I focused on determining the point at which...
The Nobility of Moravia and Anabaptists. The Example of Domaine Mikulov and Slavkov.
Back, Květoslav ; Zdichynec, Jan (advisor) ; Bobková, Lenka (referee)
(in English): The aim of this bachelor thesis is to give an account of the influence of the community of Baptists in South Moravia in the years 1526−1622, from their advent into a relatively tolerant environment, to the expulsion of the country after the defeat of the Estates in the Battle on the White Mountain, especially with a focus on the relationship between the Baptists and the Moravian nobility. For the purpose of assessing this issue, I mainly used the text of the Baptist chronicle, land ordonnances and the archive sources of the urbarium and the tax return lists of the owners of the Moravian demesnes. I also became acquainted with the results of the work of earlier research. Study of sources showed that the co-existence of the Baptists and Moravian nobility was beneficial for both sides. The nobility appreciated the diligence, modesty, and craftsmanship of the Baptists and, in return, provided them with conditions for their settlement, protection against the Catholic monarch and a certain background against the restrictions within the laws of the land. This microsonde shows among others that the regulations concerning the cohabitation of various confessional groups formulated by the land diet were not absolutely put in to the everyday life of specific demesnes.
