Špína, Martin ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
Title: Parkinson's disease (PD) in the context of comprehensive rehabilitation Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to process knowledge about Parkinson's disease and methods of treatment. The practical part of it focused on examining the symptoms, methods of exercise and home conditions of patients with PD. The results were used to make recommendation for these patients. Methods: Within a theoretical part a survey was created and compiled for patients with PD. The survey anonymously addressed 15 respondents suffering from PD. The research took place in May 2021. The respondents' anonymisation was fully preserved. Results: People with PD mostly suffer from symptoms such as rigidity, tremor and deterioration of cognitive abilities. Strategy of posture stabilisation in stand on unstable base and under application of container with water
Láncz, Lukáš ; Lopot, František (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title: Strategy of postural stabilisation using unstable surface and water barrel. Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the level of muscle actiavtion of choosen muscles during lunge on unstable surface or with using water barrel. Investigation of the postural strategy used during lunge orn unstable surface or with the water barrel and creation of methodology for measurment and data analysis. Methods: Into this pilot study, there were picked 5 people (athletes). Data for outcomes where used from 3 athletes. The measurement of level of muscle activation were done by surface electromyography over gluteus medius muscle and musculi multifidii bilaterally. For data procession was used software Origin 2012 Postural stability was measured through force plates by Kistler and gained data were procesed by using software programmes Bioware, MS Excel and Matlab. For data analysis from EMG measurement was used simple comparasion of outcomes. Stabilometry outcomes were analysed by statistical methode t-test. Results: The results indicate greater level of measured trunk muscles activation during lunge with aquabag than lunge on unstable surface. Another thing which was found is that there was higher activation of Gluteus medius muscle on dominant lower extremity when performin lunge on unstable...

Preparation of a method for detection of the extent of chelation of calcium and magnesium ions
Konečný, Lukáš ; Mladěnka, Přemysl (advisor) ; Jáč, Pavel (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Lukáš Konečný Supervisor: prof. Přemysl Mladěnka, Pharm.D., Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Preparation of a method for detection of the extent of chelation of calcium and magnesium ions Calcium and magnesium are biogenic elements belonging to the second group of the periodic table. Calcium is the fifth most abundant element in the human body. In addition to its important role in bone homeostasis, calcium is involved in other processes such as blood clotting, muscle contraction and regulation of nerve excitability Magnesium is the cofactor of many enzymatic reactions essential for a row of physiological functions. The aim of this work was to propose a novel screening method for determination of the degree of calcium and magnesium chelation. In the first step the UV-vis spectra of the selected indicator o-cresolphthalein complexone and its complexes with calcium and magnesium were measured. This was followed by verification of the linearity and the determination of the sensitivity of the method. Concurrently the stability of the indicator and its complexes with both ions was measured. In the last step, the suitability of the method was verified on a standard chelator ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid...
Methodological problems of the analyses of insect decline
Chlup, Petr ; Storch, David (advisor) ; Sedláček, Ondřej (referee)
In recent years, several studies reporting a severe decline of insect populations across several continents turned the spotlight on the problem of insect decline. However, the reported declining parameters may vary, and it is necessary to differentiate between declines in biomass, abundance, diversity, or geographical range reduction. This thesis aims to summarize how the conclusions about insect decline are shaped by the methods researchers use, especially by the variables they measure, emphasizing the potential methodological issues and limitations of the various facets of insect decline. Furthermore, we offer a brief digest of the most relevant potential biases and interpretative risks threatening population monitoring surveys. The review also provides concise insight into the state of knowledge on the matter of insect population trends. Keywords: insects, insect decline, insect population trends, methodology, methodological issues

Kosková, Zdeňka ; Lukáš,, KUBÍK (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis addresses the issue of evaluating the effectiveness of the SIEM system in an industrial environment. The goal was to propose a methodology that uses a MITRE ATT&CK matrix for ICS for evaluation. The thesis first analyses existing solutions and their potential applications, followed by a description of monitoring evaluation in an energy company, which together with the matrix form the basis of the proposed solution. The main output of the thesis is a proposal for quantitative evaluation of individual techniques of the matrix, such as graphical interpretation and the possibility to share results securely with other CERT teams.
