The Visual Style of Canoe Races in Týn nad Vltavou

I focused on design of information and promotional materials of Canoe Marathon World in Tyn nad Vltavou. I concentrated mainly on the failures of the current visual style and proposed new solutions. The key is to design a new logo and its modifications, which will be put to use in a slight variation in the coming years. Art themes based on specific objects, materials and phenomena (lamina structure, paddles, movement) are simplified into almost abstract forms.
Studio Najbrt - History and Media Image of Graphic Design Studio

The diploma thesis focuses on the leading Czech graphic studio Najbrt, its history, art work and media image. Its aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of its development from its foundation to the present day, and then to examine the studio's representation in the most read Czech print media through quantitative and qualitative content analysis. In the theoretical part, in addition to a historical summary of Studio Najbrt, the value of visual communication and a brief outline of the history of graphic design are presented. Furthermore, the individual components of a complex visual style, on the preparation and processing of which Studio Najbrt primarily focuses, are described. The theoretical basis for media representation of reality and its effects on the recipient are also presented, approached from a social constructivist perspective. The practical part contains the results of the analysis and presents how the selected media report on Studio Najbrt, what topics are most frequently mentioned in its context and how much space and attention is given to selected aspects of the studio or its works.
The tranformation of the visual style of Czech televison form 1992 to the presence

This diploma thesis investigates the transformation of the visual style of chosen news and journalistic programmes, chosen news programmes are Události (main news programme), Branky, body, vteřiny (sports news) and Předpověď počasí (weather forecast), chosen journalistic programmes are 168 hodin, Reportéři ČT, Objektiv and Toulavá kamera. In its theoretical part the thesis is focused on history of Czechoslovakian and Czech television. Furthermore there is a description of visual communication and visual style with detailed focus on typography and colourfulness. Next the theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of logo and its important attributes. Another chapter depicts a visual style of a television channel in the sight of selfpromotion, on air and off air applications and the graphics of a television, its current trends, effects, typography and current approaches. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on description of chosen programmes. In the frame of empirical part the picture analysis appended with semiotic analysis of chosen programmes and logo of Czech television were conducted. Visual identities of film festivals

This bachelor's thesis aims to present film festivals taking place in the Czech Republic, as well as to take a closer look at their visual identity during the last 3 up to 5 years. I would like to create an extensive overview of the graphic and audiovisual creations of each event, but also to understand, how they have been made and what graphic elements, techniques and composition rules have been used. This work is also intended to use gathered information in order to to create a new unified visual identity of Multifest - a short film festival featuring movies shot by multimedia students at the University of Economics in Prague. In the theoretical part of the thesis I elaborate the basic theme-related terms, and explain why visual identity is that important nowadays. I also offer a historical overview of the Czech movie and festival posters. In the analytical part I explore the visual identities of film festivals currently taking place in the Czech Republic. I focus on the local student film festivals. Descriptions involving visual materials are to create a brief outline of the evolution and main trends of graphic design in the field. The practical part focuses on creating a new unified visual identity for the Multifest Festival. This part extensively describes the particular workflow steps in creating the new identity, from setting the goals via target groups research and drafting, to final creation of the necessary graphic and audio materials.
Corporate design of Maja Sport ski school

Title of study: Corporate design of Maja Sport ski school Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to design a new corporate design for the ski school Maja Sport with a proposal for its implementation. Partial aims to achieve main objective are analysis of corporate design of major competitors and analysis of the current state of corporate design ski school Maja Sport. Methods: To achieve the set goals have been used several methods. Analyses of corporate design are based primarily on methods of observation and analysis of documents. Creating a draft of new design is based on collective brainstorming and informal talks with the owner and manager of the ski school. Results: The thesis found significant weaknesses in the current corporate design ski schools Maja Sport. Compared with the competition, its design is highly fragmented and looks unprofessional. For this reason, the thesis designed completely new corporate design. The practical outcome of this work is a proposal for implementation and design manual with rules and examples of use of the proposed new company design. The visual style of hip-hop subculture with regard to the concept of visual style music festival Hip hop camp

The aim of the thesis is to characterize the environment of hip hop subculture in the Czech Republic and to define its visual manifestations for the purposes of communication with this group. The theoretical part is focused on defining the concept of subculture. Bring nearer hip hop environment with its history and address the areas of visual expression and visual style. In the practical part, these theoretical knowledge is applied to the Hip Hop Kemp Festival, which is presented in my work. In conclusion, thesis analyze the visual style of the festival and evaluation of response to visual style of subcultures.
Visual style of companies web

This bachelor thesis describes the main principles of corporate visual style and evaluates the functionality of selected web programming languages. It is achieved by an elaborated study of five specific corporate web pages. In conclusion, the optimal configuration and programming methods are defined based on the composition of the web pages. The thesis is divided into multiple parts based on the particular components of the visual style, software used for its implementation, programming language and the assessment of the web pages chosen for the purpose of the thesis. First of all, it presents the segments of integrated visual corporate style. Furthermore, it explains the methodology of visual style formation, including the software used. Morover, the thesis depicts the selected programming languages. Last but not least, the visual elements and programming languages of the particular web pages are evaluated by the author, taking into account the knowledge gained in the process of completing the thesis. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the organization of visual components and assign the most appropriate combination of programming laguages for web presentations of companies.
