Quality of postural stabilization in patients indicated for total hip replacement compared to the population without advanced coxarthrosis
Vojtová, Anna ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Oplatková, Lenka (referee)
The aim of the study was to determine whether the quality of postural stabilization is impaired in patients referred for total hip replacement (THR) due to advanced coxarthrosis compared to the control group of age matching healthy subjects. Postural stabilization was assessed using four tests according to the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization by a trained DNS therapist. Twenty-six patients referred for THR were included in the study. The control group consisted of 25 subjects without subjective and clinical signs of coxarthrosis. In the experimental group with advanced coxarthrosis, the quality of postural stabilization assessed by DNS functional tests (Respiratory stereotype test, Intra-abdominal pressure regulation test, Diaphragm test and Hip flexion test) was impaired compared to the control group (p<.001 for all tests). In the experimental group, the side of advanced hip arthrosis presented with significantly worse quality of postural stabilization comparing to the non-painful side (p = .012) and comparing to the control group, in which symmetrical quality of postural stabilization was confirmed (p= .379). Furthermore, a strong correlation was identified between the hip range of motion and postural stabilization (r = .467 - .695). A strong negative correlation was found between the hip...
Abdominal wall activity in patients indicated for total hip replacement compared to the population without advanced coxarthrosis
Opichalová, Klára ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Oplatková, Lenka (referee)
Introduction: The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between postural stabilization insufficiency and severe coxarthrosis indicated for total joint replacement. Postural stabilization insufficiency was assessed by abdominal wall activity. Methods: 51 participants were recruited. 26 patients with hip arthrosis (13 males and 13 females) were included in the experimental group (mean age 70.5 years, SD 9.1) and 25 participants (10 males and 15 females) in the healthy control group (mean age 70.5 years, SD 7.7). The Ohmbelt device can be used to assess the intra-abdominal pressure indirectly via abdominal wall expansion measurement. The pressure sensor within the Ohmbelt device was attached to the abdominal wall at the area above the inguinal ligament (anterior sensor) and contralateraly at the trigonum lumbale (posterior sensor) by an adjustable belt. The pressure exerted by the abdominal wall wS monitored by the sensors. All subjects were measured twice (once with the anterior sensor, the second time with the posterior sensor) in 3 postural situations - resting breathing in the upright sitting position, the diaphragm test, and holding a 2kg dumbbell in front of the body in the upright sitting position. Results: No statistically significant differences (p>0.05) were found between groups...

Status of postural stability was significantly improved two months after surgery. Keywords: postural stability, Posturomed, postural somatooscilography, gigantomastia, reduction mammaplasty
The Level of Postural Maturation of Children in Athletic-preparatory Schools
Janečková, Terezie ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Title: The Level of Postural Maturation of Children in Athletic-preparatory Schools Author: Terezie Janečková Objective: There are more and more athletic-preparatory schools in athletic units and clubs nowadays. Athletic-preparatory school means a group of five or six-year-old children with one or two training lessons per week. Czech athletic association wants to spread an interest in athletics among parents and their children, to find athletic talents as soon as possible and develop them by this way. The recruitment of children at this age already exists in many sports, but it is new in athletics in the Czech Republic. But that does not go for everyone that this sport training at preschool age is the appropriate and healthy way for a child motor development. I would like to evaluate the influence of athletic-preparatory schools on the child motor development. Due to the fact that there are no tests to apply for this purpose in literaure, we have to compose our own set of tests, which are used in physiotherapy. The theoretic part of the work is a bibliographic search of accessible information about postural maturation and motor development. The experimental part of the work is an evaluation of the level of postural maturation of children in athletic-preparatory schools before their start of regular...

Traplová, Kristýna ; Rašev, Eugen (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
Title: Impact evaluation of a anterior cruciate ligament rupture on postural stabilization by a method postural somatooscillography before and after the reconstruction surgery Objective: Compare measured postural stability values by postural somatooscillography which will be carried out before planned ACL reconstruction surgery rupture, early after the surgery and in a longer time period after rehabilitation. Methods: This thesis has been created as a pilot study using a descriptive and associative form. Research part focuses on measurements done on the Posturomed surface during postural provocation test. Platform movement has been recorded by accelerometer and transferred into Microswing diagnostic system and evaluated using the Postural somatooscillography Posturomed Commander application. Results: After reconstruction surgery is the ability of postural stabilization better than before surgery. Postural stabilization has been improving within the group of probands during all measurements. However, the ability of long-term stabilization is at very low level in comparison to healthy subjects. Postural stabilization of uninjured limb is better than stabilization of injured limb in all research stages. Key words: anterior cruciate ligament, injury, postural stabilization, Posturomed

Klauberová, Zuzana ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor) ; Přibyl, Ivan (referee)
The thesis is looking into an assessment of a postural stabilization in a group of preschool children using an unused test in children testing "Kneeling with Support on Palms", which was used by its creators Voráčková and Šafářová in a group of adult sportsmen, and for comparison is used Matthias test, which is usually used in children testing. The thesis is focused on optimal body positions in the ontogenetic progress in the preschool age, the right body postural, dangers of origin of pathologies in postural stabilization, pathologies in body postural and the usually used diagnostic in the assessment of body postural. Results are showing a possibility of the using the test "Kneeling with Support on Palms" in preschool groups and at the same time showing chosen pathologies in the body postural of three and six years old children. The success in the thesis is a fact, that correlation with Matthias test shows for validity of the test "Kneeling with Support on Palms" and it brings information, that the test "Kneeling with Support on Palms" can be used in preschool age groups after confirmation of its reliability and objectivity. Key words: postural stabilization, body positions, preschool children, deflection in body postural
The evaluation of a tennis groundstroke by qualitative examination of functional movement
Vojtěchovská, Karolína ; Oplatková, Lenka (advisor) ; Kolář, Jáchym (referee)
This bachelor's thesis describes the evaluation of the tennis groundstroke and the influence of postural stabilization on the resulting quality of activation of the trunk in the groundstroke. The theoretical part summarises the knowledge of the optimal performance of the forehand, as well as the method of evaluating the forehand. In the practical part of the bachelor's thesis, we qualitatively assessed postural stabilization of players according to the concept of DNS. We followed the process of qualitative movement diagnosis and we performer video analysis of the forehand from the Slow-motion recording. The specific parameters of the tennis groundstroke were objectified by using the program Tracker and Zepp Tennis 2 sensor, which gave us the values of angular displacement of the body segments, the angular velocity of hip and shoulder rotation, and the ball speed, the ball spin and the percentage success rate of impact location in the sweetspot of the racket. We made a table of qualitative movement that takes into account key features of the forehand, depending on each phase of the groundstroke. Then we made a complex evaluation of the player's forehand. We concluded that it is not possible to establish a uniform ideal angular alignment of body segments. It is always necessary to respect the...

Hejdová, Tereza ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Davídek, Pavel (referee)
The thesis evaluates the immediate effect of one therapeutic unit that using Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) on the foot support function. The aim of the experiment was to verify effect of a single DNS therapeutic unit would to the determined parameters. The main expected effect was the optimization of the dynamic function of the foot and achieving better stability during the stance phase of a gait cycle. Methods: For the study, the asymptomatic group of 30 probands aged 24-36 years, 10 men and 20 women was selected. Fifteen probands were randomly divided to two groups - fifteen experimental group and fifteen to the control group. Subjects enrolled in the experimental group were measured before and after one forty minute therapeutic unit of DNS concept. The control group underwent two measurements at the same time interval, but without the therapeutic unit. The Senno Gait instrument was used for measuring. It contains insoles with motion sensors. It collects the data at a 100 Hz sampling rate for 1 minute while walking at its own normal speed. Results: Compared to initial examination, the significant shortening of the standing phase in the left lower limb (p = 0.003) and in the right lower limb (p = 0.034) was observed. The gait rate was unchanged after the DNS therapy in the...
