Automatic Keyword Suggestion

This thesis deals with the automatic keywords suggestion. The suggestion is based only on the statistic methods. For the analysis are used diploma thesis and similar documents. Statistic methods are detailed tested and evaluated by using these documents. For the final keywords suggestion ale chosen only the most successful methods. In the end, the suggested keywords are compared with the manual assigned keywords.

In my bachelor´s thesis, I focus on the proposal for a new e-commerce solution for the company ABBAS, a.s. which specializes in selling security systems, especially for camera systems. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theoretical knowledge of the issue. The second part is focused on the practical part of e-commerce issues such as SEO analysis, competition analysis, keyword analysis, choice of providers of electronic commerce, methods of promotion and design possible solutions.

Keyword Extraction from Documents

This thesis pursues an automated extraction of keywords from documents. Its goal is to design and implement an application which will be able to extract an appropriate set of keywords related to the contents of the document. The major requirements for the application are speed and accuracy. That is why the first part of the thesis talks about already developed principles and a detailed classification based on various criteria. The second part is focused on choosing and a thorough functional describing of one of the methods which should have been used for extracting the keywords. The next parts contain a detailed draft of the application and its implementation. Finally, the last chapter is particularly important due to testing the application on a group of text documents and evaluating final results of the extraction process.

Keyword Extraction from Scientific Articles

The main goal of this thesis is to explore basic methods which is using for extraction of important words from articles. After that try to understand character of using keywords from the available set of testing English articles. Based on these findings, try to design and to implement a system which is using this methods. Then created system testing on the real English articles and after that try to analyse results.

Keyword Suggestion in the Central Portal of Czech Libraries

This thesis deals with various methods of keyphrase extraction from documents, specifically focused on documents from the Central Portal of Czech Libraries. Various methods from statistical, linguistic and graph-based methods have been implemented. Also a new method was suggested, that combines the statistical and linguistic approach. Individual methods have been tested and analyzed according to the standard evaluation metrics, with the suggested method achieving recall of 30 percent.

Automatic Keyword Detection

The main goal of this work is to survey the field of the automatic keywords tagging in a text and apply this background for automatically generating back-of-the-book indexes. Human made indexes are expensive and that's why we are looking for (semi)-automatic methods indexes. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with collocations, which are an important part of generated indexes. The practical part of the work applies selected methods to testing data and summarize results of experiments.

Web Site Optimisation

This BSc Project was performed during a study stay at the Coventry University, UK. The goal of this project is to enhance the accessibility and usability of an existing company presentation located at http://www.hcc.cz, boost the site's traffic and so increase the company's revenues. The project follows these steps to accomplish this: a ) A partial refactoring of the back-end (PHP scripts). b ) Transformation of the website contents according to the recommendations of the World Wide Web consortium (W3C) and in particular to those of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). c ) Application of the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and analysis of their impact. In this step, the project touches upon the Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
