Straight up serious top shit
Ferenc, Jiří ; Sikora, Erik (referee) ; Hládeková, Katarína (advisor)
Diloma's work objectifies humour and makes the viewer feel that art does not have to be overly serious or condescending. Ideally, the work should induce relaxation and laughter in the viewer, such as when reading memes on a cell phone. At the same time, the whole project should feel like a full-fledged gallery exhibition. The project is not so much about the themes of the individual works as it is about the method of communication, which is humour. For the art community, the thesis could eventually offer the question of the legitimacy of humour in art. The thesis is based on the assumption that humour exists in art, but is often not visible. This is due to the fact that there are not a large number of artists who work with humour in a long-term and purposeful way.

Series of the pictures on the material-direct principle. It means I paint by the material which I show.
You must gather your party before venturing forth
Brož, Štěpán ; Novotný,, Michal (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
As my diploma thesis I created a series of expresive figurative paintings. The series tells fragments of stories from romantic fantazy sceneries combined with contemporary subcultural and life style motives. My inspiration comes from a strong game play experience and a deep emotional bond with the central european landscape. The story is situated somewhere between a fairy talish past and a dystopic future.

This thesis deals with the analysis of the television series "Dobré ráno, Brno!" produced by Czech Television. Czech Television has created a series that daringly parodies not only itself as a significant institution, including its employees, but also the television industry as a whole. The series allows for the analysis of key concepts of television entertainment, such as the use of parody, satire, humour, and hyperbole. The aim of this thesis is to determine the nature of parody in the series "Dobré ráno, Brno!" in relation to Czech Television and to examine how the series contributes to a greater genre diversity in television entertainment, particularly in the areas of parody, satire, and humour.
