PEROUTKOVÁ, Lenka
This bachelor's thesis deals with the problematics of unemployment by target group of juvenile persons aged 15 - 17 in the Písek District. The unemployment is a very serious social, psychological, economic and political problem not only for society as a whole, but also for separate individuals. The assertion of people in the labour market is conditioned by a whole range of characteristics, such as age, health condition, education, personality premisses, sexes and similar categories. Juveniles, who try to apply for their first job, are in comparison with others job seekers considerably disadvantaged, because they haven't got vocational education, necessary qualification, practical experiences, basic work habits and neither do they fulfil employer's requirements in general. Considering their low age they have also many working restrictions arising from the Labour Code, which protect juveniles against harm to their health and development. In the theoretical part of bachelor's thesis I targeted primarily on the explanation of basic concepts concerning unemployment, for example active and passive employment policy, tools of the active employment policy, special kinds of unemployment, unemployment compensation, the European Social Fund, the European Regional Development Fund etc. I also paid attention to the consequences of unemployment, employment of juvenile employees, the current state of unemployment juvenile persons and options, which can be solution to their unemployment. The goal of the practical part of the bachelor's thesis was to find out, the reason why employers don't prefer juvenile employees. Based on a set goal one main hypothesis and three partial hypotheses were created. By using the questionnaire survey the set goal was achieved. The main hypothesis and the partial hypothesis "H1" haven't been confirmed on the basis of the obtained data. Two partial hypotheses "H2" and "H3" have been confirmed.

The world of work through the perspective of state, labour unions and employers. Building a hegemony.
Němec, Lukáš ; Lánský, Ondřej (advisor) ; Májíček, Jan (referee)
(in English): During adolescence, a person's value orientations towards society, employment, and the economy are being shaped significantly. The educational system plays an important role in this maturing of a person's values in that it provides key social orientation in the form of knowledge, consciousness, or opinions. The theory of cultural and social reproduction was among the first analyses of critical education that drew attention to the fact that this mediation of orientation serves for the maintaining (reproduction) of social inequalities in society. The basic question of education according to these analyses of critical education thus is not what knowledge we get at school, but rather whose knowledge. In the Czech Republic, ca. 73% of pupils go through secondary vocational training. After graduation, most of these pupils are the first to enter the world of paid labor at a relatively early age. Between 2004 and 2012, intermediate vocational training underwent a change of system in the form of the implementation of curriculum reform in connection with the adoption of Act No. 561 / 2004 Coll. on Preschool, Elementary, Secondary, Tertiary Vocational, and Other Education. Curriculum reform enabled various social agents to influence the goals and content of education at the national level...

Unemployment in the Czech Republic in gender terms from perspective of Labor Office
Černostová, Daria ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Maříková, Hana (referee)
Unemployment is a subject examined in many fields, e.g. sociology, economics or psychology. However, all these areas for the most part disregard gender implications within the topic. This is why I have attempted in my work to address the issue of unemployment from a gender perspective in greater detail through the activities of the Labor Office, as the central institution dealing with unemployment in the Czech Republic. Specifically, I have examined whether or not there are gender stereotypes in the work of female and male employees of the Labor Office; in particular, whether or not jobs and retraining programs have been offered, or demanded, in a gender-stereotypical manner. Since I conducted interviews for my research shortly after the amendments to the Employment Act and the Labor Code took effect, which fundamentally influenced the activities of female and male employees of the Labor Office, I have obtained significant additional information on the functioning of the new measures in practice. Therefore, my thesis provides an insight not only into gender stereotypes in the work of the Labor Office, but also into the new tools of what is referred to as "active employment policy" (from the point of view of the Labor Office's employees), including both the envisaged benefits of these tools as well...
