Organization and Management of the Process of Integration of Children with Different Mother Tongues in Primary Schools

This diploma thesis is part of the project entitled Selected Aspects of the Integration of Foreigners Living in the Czech Republic and Their Relationship to Social Work funded by the Grant Agency of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (reg. no. GAJU 101/2022/S). The diploma thesis deals with the organization and management of the process of integration of children with a different mother tongue at primary schools. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out how the integration process is set up from the point of view of school management at elementary schools attended by pupils with a different mother tongue. The practical part deals with the basic data of the participating schools educating children with a different mother tongue who have expressed interest in participating in the research. It also deals with the course of integration of pupils at basic schools, deficiencies in the integration of pupils and helping entities in the integration of pupils into basic schools. The interview was based on theoretical knowledge. Open coding in the subtext of the conducted interview was used to evaluate the data. The sample consisted of twenty-one schools from the South Bohemian Region that expressed interest in participating in this work. Based on the conducted research, the individual research questions and the objective of the work were answered. The results showed that each integration of children/pupils with a different mother tongue is very individual and always depends on the specific child and his motivation to learn the Czech language. although this procedure for the integration of children/pupils with a different mother tongue is not precisely defined, it is very important and should not be underestimated.
Kindergarten teachers' experience with educating children with different mother tongues

The bachelor's thesis deals with the experiences of kindergarten teachers in educating children with a different mother tongue. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The areas of child development at the age of 3-6 are described in the theoretical part. Specifically, it concerns the areas of cognitive development, emotional development, socialization and play. Other parts of the theory deal with preschool education and the definition of the term child with a different mother tongue and its difference compared to the term child-foreigner. Attention is also paid to the specifics of these children and the possibilities of their support. The last passage of the theoretical part focuses on inclusion in relation to education. The thesis deals with the current experiences of kindergarten teachers with the education of children with a different mother tongue in the practical part. It is a quantitative research that was carried out using questionnaires. The aim of the research was to collect and describe the current experiences of kindergarten teachers with the education of children with a different mother tongue. This research is supplemented by two interviews, which bring a view from the perspective of a parent of a child with a different mother tongue and an employee of the National Pedagogical Institute, who works in the position of adaptation coordinator of support for children/pupils foreigners.
Education of children with different mother tongue in the conditions of the selected kindergarten

This bachelor's thesis is dedicated to the development of language competencies for a group of children with a different mother tongue in a regular kindergarten. The theoretical part deals with terminological concepts and the specification of problems related to this issue based on professional publications. The empirical section is built on case studies of selected respondents. The main aim of the thesis was to measure information about participants' communication skills, gauge their progress, describe the educational process, and evaluate its efficiency. The research conducted in this specific kindergarten included three children with different first languages and contained two diagnostic tests with a three-month interval between them. The first study revealed a lack of language competency. The second study discovered that the respondents' communication skills improved. The comparison demonstrated the benefit of individual development for selected participants in all areas of communication competencies. The purpose of the study was to summarize language intervention and the possible needs of children in kindergarten, so they can effortlessly integrate into elementary schools. Providing language support to children with a different mother tongue in preschool age

The thesis is devoted to the problem of providing language support to children with a different mother tongue in preschool age. The theoretical part discusses the child with a different mother tongue, the framework conditions for providing language support to children with a different mother tongue at preschool age in the Czech Republic, methodical and educational materials suitable language support for children with a different mother tongue in preschool age and the method Kikus. Musical Activities In The International Pre-Schools in Prague

This work analyses music activities of English-speaking children of pre-school age, attending international schools in Prague, following the British Curricula. The goal of this work is to develop and to validate teaching materials of musical activities, supporting children with different native languages from the language of the teaching material, those in transition period, and those with communication barriers, and to offer concrete implementation strategies for teachers of music in both Czech and international schools. The theoretical part compares Czech and British music curricula for pre-school children. It defines terms such as transition period and describes its course in Czech and international environments. Furthermore, it addresses the role of music during this stage of development and explains the concepts of project-based learning and music integration project. Development of language competencies of children with different mother language in preschool

The diploma thesis deals with the development of language competencies by children with different mother language in preschool age in a regular kindergarten. The theoretical part of the work is focused on defining the basic terminology and mapping the issues of a child with a different mother language in kindergarten based on the analysis of professional literature. The subject of the empirical part of the work is the diagnosis of individual language levels and individual preparation for entering primary school for a specific child with a different mother language. The empirical part is processed in the form of case studies. The survey was conducted in a selected kindergarten, where the level of language competences of seven children-foreigners of preschool age was evaluated and the results of tests after six months were subsequently compared. The aim of the diploma thesis was to analyze the level of language competencies in children with different mother language, identify their communication difficulties in individual language levels, find suitable methods and procedures for working with these children and evaluate the benefits of regular individual intervention. Support of language development for children with different mother tongues in kindergarten

ANOTATION The presented thesis The promotion of language development of children with a different mother tongue in kindergarten deals with the integration of children with different mother tongue into the nursery environment. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of three chapters, where the first chapter outlines the image of today's society with regard to multicultural education. The second chapter deals with the issue of communication, namely the development of children's speech, communication in kindergarten and the support of the language development of children with a different mother tongue. The third chapter focuses on the legislative conditions for education of children with a different mother tongue. For the practical part of the bachelor thesis, the author chose one of the qualitative methods - a case study specifically focused on observation, systematic work and subsequent evaluation of the individual educational plan created in order to integrate a foreign language child into a group of peers in the nursery.
