The Alchemy like the Gate to Luck

Synopsis The aim of this Bachelor thesis is not rendered and reveal the alchymist procedures, but rather to know the thinking of the alchemists and their destinies, because not all of them were con artists who would like to share the fraudulent ways and so enrich at the expense of its surroundings. A few of them not only made money, but even borrowed, and eventually ended up in prison. Most of them really believe in their dreams of actinide transmutation and extending the life and the other on the contrary, have ceased to believe in the miracle of riches by using the transmutation and rather started to think about whether something like that is possible and then go back to the top. And it was actually the beginning of the inquiry and that of the beginning of a new scientific discipline and chemistry. Of course, that together with the effort of the alchemists of actinide transmutation of metals, and search for the stone is associated and the destinies of famous players of this science and it, from the founder of the Herma Trismegistose to the present, because the dream of the alchemists is not foreign or today's man.

The bachelors thesis describes services of Jewish Museum in Prague offered to visitors and explorers. Introduction describes the museum as a cultural and informational institute, as well as summarizes Judaism in Czech Republic. This body of thesis has two parts: First part includes general description of Jewish Museum in Prague, its importance, history, facilities, speciality, and cultural-educational activities. In the second part there is a detailed description of selected projects, departments and special divisions, which author chose for importance and informational character of their services. Last plague epidemic in the Czech lands, especially in Prague (1713-1714)

The main part of the thesis mentions last plague epidemic wave, that hit our country in the years 1713-1714, here I focus specifically on the city of Prague. The Czech lands, Moravia and Silesia are mentioned only briefly to show little differences between lands and their plague rules. I also describe medical facilities and hospitals, where were sick and dying people placed, and personnel which took care of these people. Divine services were important for people at that time, society was very religious and people thought that plague is a divine punishment. Even though society was very religiously based, cities and streets were filthy and full of mud.People in cities had very poor hygienic standards and habits, that helped to faster spreading of the disease. At last, places of final rest for terminally ill people, plague cemeteries are mentioned.

Prague Illustrated Courier: The Prague Penny-press as a Window into the World of Commeon Men.

- Jakub Machek Prague Illustrated Courier. The Prague Penny-press as a Window into the World of Common Men. This work is dedicated to early sensational pictorial press (Pražský Illustrovaný Kurýr and its less successful predecessors) and its urban readers, as an example of the rising Fin de siècle popular culture in the Czech lands and its significance for revealing fundamental social and political changes that took place at the turn of the 20th century. During this era, even the members of lower social classes broadened their economical and cultural potency and thus capacity to absorb the development of new common culture generated by the rapid industrialization and urbanization. Production and reception of emerging popular press is analysed as a marker of the new modern urban experience and its social influences. Global pattern of successful mass daily press was, however, modified for Prague audience, its specific local beliefs, values and desires, distinctively different from those of western urban centre dwellers.

Jakub Růžička Techn(olog)ická revoluce ve vzdělávání: zvyklosti a postoje žáků devátých tříd ZŠ ke studiu a samostudiu uvnitř reformujícího se školství Bakalářská práce Abstract The impossibility of mastering the entire existing knowledge of humankind, which means entire knowledge that has been produced up to know, by independent and individual human being, and also the development and massive expansion of computer technologies and the Internet, imply the necessity of rethinking current educational practices. Despite that, implementing new means of education, progressive didactic methods and crossing the boundaries of study and self-study, is being obstructed by institutional conventional educational system and related methods. Even thought the system responds to the transformation of the labour market, it does not put the main emphasis on information technologies, which are great facilitators in achieving these goals. The ongoing reform of the Czech educational system has the spirit of broader European reforms. Reflections of the 1866 War in the Bohemian Urban Enviroment

The central theme is the reflection of the Prussian-Austrian war of 1866 in Prague. The study deals in detail about what had the occupied Prague to experience, how was the reaction of people on the occupation and how did Prague manage to fulfill the requirements of the Prussian army. The research is based on Národní Listy, which were the most influential Czech-speaking newspapers, and City Council meetings protocols. We can say that Prague, its administration and population, did very well. After the departure of the imperial authorities, the City Council had to deal with all city management and communication with the Prussians, has mastered its role and saved Prague from falling into chaos. There were no food riots and the Prussians had no reason to conflicts with the people of Prague who conscientiously fulfill their requirements. National conflicts were marginal or none, but in this work, they are not described in detail. Locals took the war primarily as a necessary evil and do everything possible to survive it unscathed.

99 Summary Buberův kulturní sionismus a Masarykův humanismus - komparativní studie Buber's Cultural Zionism and Masaryk's Humanism - Comparative Study Marie Venclová This thesis deals with various aspects of understanding the term nation, its roots and dimensions in the works of Martin Buber and Tomas Garrigue Masaryk. The comparative study is based on analysis of Buber's Three Addresses on Judaism and Masaryk's Problem of a Small Nation. In these texts the philosophers present their attitudes and ideas about the meaning, origin and content of the existence of a nation. The results of the comparison show, that their points of view are similar in more than a few aspects and what most importantly bonds their ideas is the moral, spiritual and cultural understanding of the meaning of a nation. Furthermore, they both stress the responsibility of each and every individual part of the society for implementing such ideas into practice. Buber's cultural Zionism as well as Masaryk's humanism are also concepts based on critical self-reflection and need of education, which serves to broaden horizons and identify positive values in one's own nation. Cabaret "Červená sedma" in the light of archival materials of Czech Radio

This bachelor's thesis maps the situation, in which the archive of the "Červená sedma" cabaret, that is in large part deposited in rooms of the Czech Radio archive, in the present days is found. It compares the dates from the former catalogue, that was managed by the members of the cabaret themselves, with the real today's situation. It even shows individual differences and discrepancies, that were during the revision found. This thesis also concentrates on the "Červená sedma" as a part of the Czech or more precisely the Czechoslovak Radio broadcasting and encourages programmes, in which this company occured, either directly by its members, or indirectly through the actors of other generations or memorial programmes devoted to it.
